Summary: Great for little kids, but not much for 9-above
Review: The first 'Lilo and Stitch' was great. It was funny, witty, and had state-of-the-art animation. Stitch the movie was different. Whereas 'Lilo and Stitch' had a 50's feel to it, when you watch Stitch!, it has a different feel. More like a kid's movie. 'Lilo and Stitch' was succesful because not only it was appealing to kids, but adults love it too because of the witty humor and the 'ohana' theme. 'Lilo and Stitch' was realistic, except for the alien part of course. In Stitch!, the "ohana" theme isn't much concentrated upon, except for annoying repeats of the phrase "ohana means family", which gets pretty tiring after a while.

And the ending is a big rip-off. The previews told us that we would meet the other 625 experiments, but instead we only met two, 221 and 625. It's obvious that it's a promo to watch the series. The series is great, and I feel you don't need to watch this movie to understand it. It's just another creation, and it's all about money, money, and guess what? Money.

Summary: Terrible
Review: This movie completely ruined the first. The original was charming, the songs were great, the animation and the voices were amazing. The first movie had me crying in some scenes it was so good. But this one completely ruined it. It was like some cheap made for TV cartoon, even the animation didn't match up at all to the first. The lines were flat and had no meaning - the ones that did were the same from the first movie. I felt nothing throughout the movie but boredom. The storyline and plot sounds quite good at first, but that is not the case once the movie starts. As an avid 'Lilo and Stitch' fan, I felt completely dissapointed by the sequel - and if you're a fan, I would advise you not to even go near this 'movie'.

Summary: Stitch has me in stitches.
Review: He is one funny alien, this Experiment 626. Especially when he's on the chow-down. And when he realizes a new creature on the island may be a 'cousin?'. This is like a precursor to the TV series, which if you'd give a chance, you'd find charming and fun. It's not the movie, but until the sequel, it'll do. And it'll do nicely for family video nights. Awesome voicings by Daviegh Chase--yeah, the same kid in The Ring.

Summary: C'MON PEOPLE!!!!???
Review: Being a Disney fan, I should say THIS IS NOT A SEQUEL!!! It's simply an introduction to the TV series. There is an actual Lilo and Stitch II coming this year or the next. So, CHILL OUT!

Um, as for the movie, it was okay. They should have shown it on TV instead tho.

Summary: Even dumb, redundant Stitch movie isn't ALL bad!
Review: I do not like this film. That's not a good sign because I even liked "Tarzan & Jane". Yet, just about anything with Stitch can't be all bad. There are a few good moments, like when Stitch and Sparky copy each other. But what I didn't like was all the space parts. The "mild sci-fi action" is why "Lilo & Stitch" was rated PG, but this is rated G and has 10 times as much! I like the TV show, (...).

Summary: Come on people,it's not terrible at all!
Review: Many big fans of the original claim that you shouldn't take one step into going near this one.But big Lilo and Stitch fans should definitely give this one a go.And they could turn out suprised, but this is suprisingly great stuff.Sure it's not as good as the first, but as a film in it's own right, everything here is spot on fantastic once again. The new villian,Dr.Hamsterwheel(Hamsterviel! It is Hamsterviel!!)is the greatest and most hilarious character I have seen in the way of animated gerbil like creations(I AM NOT GERBIL-LIKE,I AM HAMSTER-LIKE!).His accent is fanastic. His voice talent,Jeff Bennett,is fantastic. And his one-liners are incredible!Such as 'I AM IRKED!'at the disappointing sight of Experiment 625(also a new and hilarious character),'YOU THINK YOU'RE SO...PHONE BOOK,PHONE BOOK!!!',where he's starts a threat and discovers that Lilo is higher than he is,and finally,'I WASN'T REALLY GONNA CUT YOU IN HALF,IT WAS A JOKE!DIDN'T JUMBA PUT A FUNNY BONE IN YOU?',after Sparky saves Stitch and Lilo calls for help, then he get scared! It's brilliant!
Also many of the cast have stayed in to do just as well if not better,Daveigh Chase is amazing as Lilo once again,Stitch has a new problem finding his 'cousins',and Jumba and Pleakley are much, much funnier in this one!The only two downfalls are that the Elvis music has been cut short to just one song of his,'Slicin' Sand',which ain't his best, but at least Gareth Gates doesn't destroy another classic like last time, and Aloha,E Komo Mai,which you'll hear over the end credits,or before the start of the TV show,is one of the best songs I've heard in ages.So why is it not featured on the Island Favourites CD?Also this film could be a bit longer,I hate seeing Lilo and Stitch end, especially after only an hour or so,but I've heard rumours of a third film coming soon so keep me posted.
The plot of Stitch The Movie is good but doesn't always match up to it's expectations.First off,you only see 2 new experiments,625 and 221,so the rest of the excitement is left solely to the series. But there's all kinds of twists and turns here as a wonderful new adventure unfolds.
Overall Stitch The Movie may not look like much, but it's just as supremely entertaining as the original Lilo and Stitch, hitting all the right notes again, and keeping us all entertained until we found out the truth about the rumoured third movie.
So now I'm gonna stick this back in my DVD player and go make myself a sandwich!

Summary: About as fun as watching water boil...
Review: Watching "Lilo and Stitch" was like watching water boil: It was a long, tedious bore that finally started to heat up, only to evaporate. Watching Disney's latest straight-to-video cash-in sequel, "Stitch! The Movie," is even worse--its atrocities defy words. Okay, okay, it's not all that bad considering. I'm exaggerating. But I had a strong dislike for the first film, and "Stitch" is only more painful an experience.

Our little Hawaiian pal, Lilo the little girl, is back, along with her older sister and new best friend, Stitch, who also happens to be a morphable alien who disguises himself as a dog to detract attention from the fact that he has razor sharp claws and teeth, a Hunchback of Notre Dame stance with a crooked arched back, and terrifying body and facial features.

Lilo and Stitch also have two pals seen in the last film, one of whom has the distinct sound of a Russian fellow. The overweight Russian-voiced creature is repsonsible for Stitch; he was a mad scientist who created some 600 ill-fated experiments. Stitch was number 626, forty digits away from a very evil string of numbers. Does this number bear some subtle hint towards Stitch's evil side? Perhaps Experiment 666 will be delved into in the next installment, "Disney's Lilo and Stitch III: Apocalypse Now."

The Russian alien is kidnapped from Lilo's home and held captive by another fearful creature, who is in search of the other experiments, all of which are dehydrated and being stored in Lilo's Hawaiin beachside resort, something hardly affordable for a low-salary working-class young adult such as Lilo's sister. But oh, well, it's a cartoon. Keep telling that to yourself as this film takes totally idiotic steps in idiotic directions. (Perhaps the kidnapper would have been so smart as to have checked the suspiciously-placed chest the Russian fellow was sitting on when he kidnapped him? He would have found what he was looking for without dragging him across half the outer reaches of the galaxy. With a sharp wit like that, it's any wonder the kidnapper alien knows how to fly a complex lightspeed ship through space.)

New creatures are unleashed in "Stitch! The Movie," such as an electrical beast predating Stitch, but who bears an uncanny resemblance to his distant relative. But they're not any fun, and certainly not anything we haven't seen before. "Stitch" takes more than a few creative liberties--the entire premise is that of "E.T." (particularly the first film); Stitch rolls himself into a ball and travels across land (done by the similar-looking nibblers in "Critters"); and the dehydrated experiments are restored by adding water--something seen in "Gremlins." Of course, this is an animated film, so we are supposed to forgive Disney for totally cashing in on a money-making franchise, ripping off other films and their ideas, and so on and so forth.

What we viewers put up with!

To be honest, I come from a prejudiced standpoint--I didn't like the first film at all, as I have clearly stated above. With that in mind, fans of the first film will love "Stitch! The Movie," primarily because it stays very true to the original, both in story and animation -- the latter of which is usually ruined in straight-to-video sequels. In the end, that's the really sad thing about "Stitch!"--whereas most worthwhile straight-to-video Disney sequels lack everything that made the first a good film, including decent animation, "Stitch!" actually feels like a theatrical sequel. Too bad an opportunity such as this had to be wasted on such a bad movie.

Summary: Not as bad as you might think
Review: Granted, this movie has a far weaker plot and artwork than its predecessor. Nonetheless, there are some genuinely funny moments, and the "ohana" theme doesn't quite reach the indigestible stage. Cobra gets an excellent line: "Information is power, and I like power." Very lame ending, though, obviously a lead-in to something else. If you love "Lilo and Stitch", you may not love this move, but you should at least like it. Definitely a renter.
