Summary: NOT WHAT I EXPECTED
Review: I was hoping for something to help my son learn his alphabet & numbers in english & spanish. There are no screen views to go along with the alphabet or number recitals. Many of the other parts have nothing to do with what is on the screen. I could have bought a CD instead. Don't waste your money. Time Life has better alphabet videos.

Summary: Not as good as the rest
Review: We own a few of the Baby Einstein titles and this one is definitely not our favorite. While I appreciate exposing children to different languages, this tape just doesn't hold my daughters' interest. We much prefer Baby Mozart, Baby Van Gogh and Baby Newton. I recommend that parents new to the series start with Baby Mozart in particular.

Summary: Baby Einstein
Review: My son(10 months) has all of the Baby Einstein videos. He will sit and watch them all contently for the whole half hour except this viedo. He does not care for the forgein languages.

Summary: Best item for baby we have!!!!
Review: We bought this after a freind told us about it. My son was 6 months when he got it and he loves it. I am so happy with this and the other videos we have from baby einstein. The voices are calm and help him relax when he is crying and I turn it on while giving him a bottle to go to sleep. I can not say enough about how this video has helped me keep my sanity when I need to get things done and he won't stop crying. Some children don't like. I suggest getting one baby einstein video before buying a whole set. Other reveiwers need to remember these were made to entertain babies, not adults.

Summary: Buy any of the other Baby Einsteins over this one.
Review: My daughter and I are fans of this series with the exception of this video. I don't quite understand how children will learn different languages when the words have nothing to do with the pictures. Please don't waste your money.

Summary: highly interactive
Review: I totally disagree with a previous reviewer who says your children learn nothing from this video. This series of videos is meant to foster interactions/explanations between parent and child--it's NOT something to just plop your kid in front of to learn the alphabet or numbers for another 15 or 20 minutes...These videos capture a child's interest without him or her spacing out in front of the tv and allow great parental. Although the Baby Einstein Language Nursery is the weakest of the series, they are a great series to own.

Summary: Already Impressed
Review: My daughter is just 2 months old and already has her eyes glued to the screen while this movie is on. It bothers me that I have no clue what they're saying while the movie is playing in other languages but I know my little one is being exposed to other languages and I guess that's what really matters, right? I am anticipating as she grows older she will love it even more, once she recognizes the toys and other assorted items shown during the theater part of the movie. I would recommend this to everyone, it is worth the money.

Summary: Weird video...
Review: My daughter (11 months) LOVES Baby Shakespeare and Baby Bach. We were very disappointed with Baby Einstein. It is slow paced, has boring images and music - she doesn't watch it for more than a few minutes. The weirdest part of all is that while the different voices speak in different languages, what they are saying does not match what is appearing on the screen at all. For instance, someone may be counting to 20 in a language, but only 7 blocks are shown, or the picture and the words don't go together at all - nursery rhymes while showing pictures of a spinning top or a flower or something. If I want my child to become "familiar" with foreign languages, regardless of what the person is saying, I'll just take her to our local grocery story to people watch. I'd personally prefer to get a product that teaches my child a foreign language -- AND the meaning of the words.

Summary: Different from baby Mozart, but the focus is language!
Review: My son started the Baby Einstein series with Baby Mozart which is absolutely is favorite - he watches it everyday (we've been through 1 VHS & now have the DVD). He is to the point that he knows which DVD is the Baby Mozart and which isn't...as such, he protested initially with the Baby Einstein, but now enjoys it after his Baby Mozart DVD.

The neat thing about Baby Einstein is that I find myself chanting foreigh language rhymes (have no idea what I'm saying) with him and he recognizes what I'm doing. So I only assume that on some level is brain is recognizing the sound patterns of another language.

Summary: Worst video I ever bought !
Review: Not only is this a bad video, it also makes NO sense. This is NOT the way to teach children. It only confuses them! I know that Baby Mozart and Einstein have been very popular and I even have them in our home, but now I know better! The Einstein and Mozart tapes are OK, but I give them a 1 star rating because they have ZERO educational value. The BRAINY BABY videos are FAR better for the same price (in fact the Brainy Baby videos are 45 minutes, instead of the 25 minutes you get with Mozart). If you put a Baby Einstein or Baby Mozart video in the VCR, what does your child learn?... that's right... NOTHING !
If your child watches Brainy Baby, they actually LEARN their ABC's, 123's, Colors, etc. as well as being entertained with BEAUTIFUL images! I say buy these types of videos for your children, (Right Brain and ABC's are our favorites) but if you want your child to become smarter as well as be entertained with beautiful and creative images, then trade your Mozart tape in for Brainy Baby. You won't be disapointed and you'll get a well deserved 45 minute break! I recommend your search Amazon a little deeper and find something worth buying.
