Review: Newsies-what can i say? It's about some orphaned newsboys who decide to go on strike when Joseph Pulitzer, the paper owner, raises the price of the paper. Not only are the songs good, but the guys are really, really cute. Recommended for any kid ages 5-10, and any girl ages 5-15.

Summary: A Really Great Movie
Review: I normally hate musicals, but this is a real exception. The music, dancing and acting is wonderful. One of my friends lent me the film, and now all I do is watch the movie, and sing to the soundtrack.The film is about these guys who go on strike because these people raised the newspaper prices. Its a little confusing, but it still really good and I would give it ten stars, if I could. See the movie, you won't regret it!

Summary: One of Disney's finest
Review: I watched it for the first time last week and now have seen it 4 times...awesome movie. I love old musicals from the 40s and stuff so I surprised to find out there was such a new one. Some of the dancing is a little "boy bandish" but for the most part the dancing was impressive. Great actors and actresses. They all did a great job and I wish they got more credit. This movie deserved more than to get dusty on a shelf. The bonus material is worth getting the DVD for. It really takes you on the inside story of it all and it's a blast to watch them make it.

Review: WOW! I never expected to fall in love with this movie i normaly hate movie musicals(i.e. Grease) but i watched this and the singing is so in sync and the dancing is great! WOW i was taken away buy it! Alot of big actors today are in this movie (i.e. Christian BAle David Moscow ....) it was great!

Summary: "NEWSIES" GOT SOAKED 10 YEARS AGO
Review: If you enjoy or need an inspirational story about underdogs, then this movie is for you. If you enjoy watching original, innovative dancing, then this movie is for you. If you like hearing bold, brassy music, then this movie is for you. Be sure to watch the "bonus material;" you will appreciate the movie even more. Many reviewers have pointed out that the film was not a huge box-office success. Here in Orange County, California, it was in some theaters for 4 weeks. (Of course, some of the newsies are from this area.) But what happened 10 years ago? That was the year "Beauty & the Beast" got an Oscar nomination for Best Picture, surprising everyone including Disney. Someone at Disney decided to re-release "Beauty & the Beast" which was back in theaters before, during & after the Oscar ceremony. But in the meantime "Newsies" had just been released. So...Disney decided that they didn't want to promote/advertise TWO Disney films at once. Since "Beauty & the Beast" was doing so well back in the theaters, Disney decided to pull the plug on advertising & promoting "Newsies." Too bad. It has a great message for a lot of people. But why be surprised? "Newsies" was about underdogs & it was treated as an underdog movie. But don't fret about the past. Get this DVD & start "carrying the banner" yourself!

Summary: Great Movie!
Review: I'm currently starting in rehearsals for Newsies and I am playing Mush. I've only seen half of this, but I love it! I'm singing the songs that we have to learn constantly. My favorite song is of course, "Carrying the Banner", but I also like, "The World Will Know." This is also a great family film! I recommend to anyone who likes musicals (like me) and just fun movies!

Summary: Newsises is a very good DVD.
Review: I realy liked this movie because of the songs. In this movie Christopher(the star) has a dream of going to Santa Fe, but Synder is after him to put him in the reffuge. In the prosess of that, the Newsies go on strike because he jacke up the price of the papers that they buy. During this Jack(that's who Christopher plays) meets a reporter who decides to cover the story of the strike. Over all, I realy liked the movie.

Review: This movie should be world renouned. It wasn't successful for one reason or another, but there is no fault in the movie. The music is very exciting, emotional, and uplifting. Its great to sing along to, as well. I'm speecheless as to how to describe how this movie influences me. Just buy it. I can guarentee, you will love it.

A TOTALLY ENJOYABLE PICTURE WITH WONDERFUL DANCING. ROMANCE IS SEEDED BY THE ENFATUATION OF THE "NEWSIES'" STAR GIVING HIS LOVE OVER TO THE SISTER OF A FLEDGLING PAPER BOY TRYING TO MAKE SOME MONEY FOR HIS FAMILY BECAUSE THE NEW PAPER BOY'S FATHER HAVING BEEN INJURED FROM HIS OWN JOB.
