Summary: One of the greatest movies of all-time, in my opinion.
Review: I loved this movie so much. It is just exhilarating and is completely underrated. It has characters you can care about, think about and relate to. And plausible plot because it really happened, mostely plausible characters and to top it all off, some the greatest and most fun songs ever. Hits like "King of New York", "Fine Life," and "Santa Fe". One disappointment, about this is Medda, because I hate Ann-Margret, and she needs to learn that she's an ugly old coot who can't act. Plus she's only added in movies because people know who she is. And the only reason people know about her is that she got lucky when she got Kim Macafee in the old movie conversion of the musical "Bye Bye Birdie". Another thing is that I wish 'Brooklyn' had a solo, because the actor really looked the part. In terms of acting, this isn't the kind of movie you pay that much attention to about it, but the acting if fair. Bill Pullman hasn't done a good movie since Independence Day and Space Balls, nobody likes Ann-Margaret, but Christian Bail puts on one heck of a show for the audience and really gives some nice facial expressions over the course of the movie. The places in the are nicely set and thoughtfully created, and they go well with the realistic plot (which is actually real) The supporting cast (the 'chorus') is phenomenal and should really make some more movies (more adult movies). Overall one of the best movies ever and I completely recommend it.

Summary: Newsies, a movie to love
Review: The first time I saw the movie, it made me cry and laugh (sometimes at the same time). The second time I started to notice little things, not to annoy, but it makes it not perfect. Very few movies are perfect, but besides them, there are better ones. But it stays a good movie no matter how many times you watch it. Alan Menken wrote the music and it's really good, but it isn't the best he ever wrote. The lyrics (Jack Feldman) are good. Some of the lines are beautifull, but other ones aren't to love. The adult actors are good, some of them really good. The teens are good looking and have beautifull voices and there acting isn't that bad. The little boy, who plays Less, is very promising. For the musical-lovers I might recommend it, for the movie-lovers is it not a must, but wouldn't hurt if you saw it.

Review: This movie is so good. I absolutely could not believe it. Christian Bale (Jack) and Gabriel Damon (Spot) are so hot and everything else about this movie is awesome. The music is really catchy and the story is amazing. Don't even bother renting it...just go buy it!

Summary: It is one of my favorite movies
Review: I actually saw this movie a few years before I discovered what movie I had been watching.I was about 9 years old and I was already sold. Now, at least 6 years later, I saw this movie in a store and I bought it. Just like that. I can watch this movie over and over, I never get sick of it. But there are some things that I would change, maybe things that other people love. But every movie has those things, so it doesn't really change my opinion. About the songs, I really love the music (actually I'm really keen on everything that Alan Menken writes), but the lyrics aren't the best I've ever known. About the actors, I surely agree that they are extremely smart (and I think that that is the reason why so many girls like the movie). Their voices are so beautyfull that they make you cry. Their dancing is great, I know that dancing like that is really hard. Your concentration has to be really high because you're not dancing alone, there are other people counting on you. The direction was also really great. About the story, it's based on facts so you can't change that. But the fiction in it could have been better. But after naming all the bad points, I noticed that the good points surpass the bad ones enormously; so that makes it a very good movie.

Review: This is a really cool movie, most people have never heard of it but it is soo cool! It's great for all ages. For the younger ones because of the music and for the teens because of the hot guys.(Christian Bale, and David Moscow!!)

Review: The popularity of musicals has waned over the years, but based on the quality of Newsies, Hollywood should be making more of these entertaining family films. One of the few musicals to ever have "boy appeal", Newsies keeps going from start to finish with engaging music, believable lyrics and non-stop dancing. You'll find yourself singing along with all of the well-crafted tunes. With it's nod to the historical accuracy of the newspaper wars of the 20's, the film is informative as well - capturing the rugged yet hopeful spirit of the times. This heartwarming tale of David vs. Goliath is sure to please the entire family. Newsies is a sleeper that's a must for any lover of music, dance and happy endings.

Summary: Boys - dancing - singing, what else could we ask for?
Review: Newsies, though not recieved well in the film industry, and by the critics as all that great, I think was VERY underated. Sure, it may not have the best acting, but IT'S A MUSICAL PEOPLE! and it is historical! How often today do we get to see a musical in the movies? This movie also shows that American boys can dance and sing. Though Christian Bale is British, at least the makers didn't have to hire a massive British boy's choir to do the singing. It is like the classic movies from the early 1920s or so. Dancing, musical numbers, a cute little romance- How often today do we see that? Never, we're lucky if there is a clean movie made that is worth paying 7.50 for! Why do you people have to pick apart everything that is wrong about the movie? Try looking at the talent and the good in it for once. It is a great movie, worth while too. The songs may not be the best, but I wouldn't call them cheesy, they were written to go along with the story line, DUH! Plus, they are fun to sing along to. Give this movie a break. IT IS EXCELLENT AND ADDICTIVE. WE LOVE THOSE DANCING BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!
