Summary: A darn good movie!, actually
Review: I remember seeing newsies when it was first released....I remember seeing it alone!! While it does fall a little short of the mark,(I suspect budget constraints),its actually a darn good movie!! I never understood why it didnt receive even a little warmer reception. The fact is there was so much 'poison in the water' so to speak about musicals and disney in general when it came out, that it didnt get a chance! Instead of being gratefull that someone was at least attempting to bring back the genre,most critics hissed like snakes at it. For all that it is, it does deliver, the music IS actually pretty good and quite upbeat.The choreography is fun to watch, and all the kids are first rate performers. The DVD is excellant by the way and lots of great extras. Its great that this sleeper has finally awoken!!

Review: My 11th grade History teacher showed this to us when we were studying the era this took place. When we were done, i wanted to see it again. I have been a musical fan since i was a little kid, now, almost 11 years later I still love them. This has to be one of the best ones. The characters are so diverse and are so instantly lovable. Davie, Jack, and Crutchy are my favorite. Once you see this you will want to see it again and sing along. The dance sequences are really good. The soundtrack........you have to get it when you buy this. Disney did a good thing making this.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " Never fear, Brooklyn is here!"

Review: You ain't nothin without the Newsies abousoletly nothin! I saw basically all the film just when Jack,David,Scratchy,Gravy,Speck and all the other Newsies were beat very bad bye the police .So far it is a radical film rembmember we don't sell papes Newsies sell papes .This movie contains vilonce which may not be enjoyable for kids under the age of 8 but most Youth ,and Kids adore this film ! I'm just 12 and I know how I feel about Newsies you should feel the same way .(Humming) When I feel bad I can just go here and listen too the movie or song clips online! When I get older I want my kids to watch this movie cause I know this film will get them through struggles and they'll learn how to deal with them while there dancing and singing . Rent it buy it trade it for your fave posseion cause rembmember you ain't nothing no nothing without the Newsies .Seize the day yous pepole ,you don't have too be King Of New York to buy,also you don't have to carry the banner ,or travel 1,000 miles too Santa Fe ,just grab your car and your off too the races again .You can get Newsies at a disney store or online right now.Rembemember you ain't nothin without the Newsies !

Summary: No Words Can Explain How Great This Movie Is!!
Review: Ten years after it's release, Newsies is still a favorite of many if not all viewers! I truly ADORE this movie, and would never give up the joy that has been brought to me through this AMAZING film! Newsies is about a group of newsboys who decide to take a stand and fight back against the most powerful man in New York. It is extremely well written, and gives a very accurate idea of what the actual strike was like 103 years ago. It is very entertaining for ANY age. The songs are very catchy and are sure to make you smile! The actors are TREMENDOUSLY talented! I can't describe the talent these guys have. The characters vary from witty and sarcastic (Racetrack) to very serious and devoted (David). Their attitudes and characteristics add greatly to the feel of the movie. Again, I need to mention the talent that this movie has captured. I don't think it could be any better with any other actors! Newsies has it all. Comedy, drama, romance, everything! This musical is definately one worth getting. Plus with all the guys in the movie, the ladies are going to be very happy! ((Trust me, Spot Conlon... ooh he's gorgeous!! ...)) Christian Bale, David Moscow, Max Casella, Gabriel Damon ..., and all of the other amazing actors and actresses definately deserve recognition for this classic. Ten years later, they are still being recognised for it - with good reason! I was introduced to Newsues through my Choir at school. We are doing a song and dance with four of the movie's songs. I am so, so, soooo happy that I learned about Newsies when I did. I cannot get my hands off the tape (I watch it at least twice a day... I know, I'm an addict. So sue me. Hehe! ^_^) and now I am praying for the DVD, because I am dying to see the behind the scenes extras! I love this movie. It is very dear to my heart, and trust me, it will be to yours as well. BUY IT!

Review: Our Drama teacher showed us Newsies in class and I was hooked instantly. I went home absolutely raving about the video to my family, and finally they rented it. My whole family enjoyed Newsies! The music is so perfect and the plot is played out great! The perfect show for a good family Friday!

Summary: This movie is so much fun!
Review: When my daughter was much younger she would watch this movie sometimes twice in one day. The music and dance were accessible, the message was positive (if you believe strongly in what you are doing, and take action, you just might prevail) and it was a movie I could let her watch without worrying about it. I recently purchased the DVD and sent it to her for a gift - she is 21 now but still considers this a favorite.

Review: This is one of my favorite movies. I love the dvd the only thing that was missing were the deleted scenes. Hopefully you'll re-release a director's edition that will have more bonus material plus deleted scenes. I know that they do this all the time with dvd movies so why not with one that's the 4th best selling Disney movie?

Review: Can I say more? I love this movie !! Disney musicals at it's best !! I love that I can just pop in the DVD anytime I need a fix of good ole fashioned family entertainment. I can't wait till I can sit down with my own kids and enjoy this film.

Review: I loved this DVD! If your looking for a modern day musical this is it! I bought it for my son, I wanted him to see that singing and dancing isn't just for girls. Since the cast is 98% boys, this was the show. The only other musical I could compare the boy cast to is Oliver. This movie however, is recent, the songs will have you sining for days on end! It even had my 3yr old dancing! The behind the scence on the DVD is wonderful too. It shows the real story of the Newsies that actually happend. It also shows the boys getting ready for the movie. Did you know that most of the boys in the Musical have never danced or sang before this film?! I'm here to tell you that after you've seen this film you would never believe this fact. This is a family film. My husband even liked it!
