Review: hilary duff is so cool! can i trade places with her- even for one day??? she is so lucky that she gets to kiss Gordo who is a major hottie!!! i think this movie is great and should only be for die-hard lizzie fans. this movie takes place in rome and is very good unlike mary-kate and ashley's movie "when in rome". ... i would also recommend buying the soundtrack to this movie. hilary duff is a great new actress with a killer voice and she deserves tons of credit for her amazing talent! ...

Summary: very good for "Lizzie" fans......
Review: ....as well as anybody who would put down their defenses and take the time to enjoy Lizzie McGuire. You may have your own opinions about Hilary Duff and her Lizzie character, but I personally really glad that today's kids are responding to Duff's positive influence and taking her as a role model.

For any fan of the show, this movie does not disappoint. It is very enjoyable, with some great moments and a whole lot to like regarding the development of the characters. That, to me, is one of the biggest strengths of the film: the way they managed to develop and even put a little twist on the main characters without totally making it dumb or unrealistic. Take Kate Sanders, for starters. What she does for Lizzie in the movie is definitely something she would have never done in the show, but something about it makes it believable anyway. You realize also what a precious person Gordo is in Lizzie's life, and of course by the end of the movie Lizzie makes the final cut from the shy, insecure young girl she used to be and finds her moment, her time to shine. Through that, her confidence comes barreling out, and don't be surprised if her final onstage performance in the end chokes you up a little. It is so awesome to see how much Lizzie has grown up, and regardless of whether or not you buy into the whole ordeal, you have to admit that this is a great movie for young girls. Some of Lizzie's awkward and embarrassing moments are a little over the edge--for example, how many school principles give a student as insecure as her the responsibility of delivering the graduation speech? And how many people completely fall over and cause an entire stage curtain to come tumbling down? The whole graduations scene was pretty dumb, and I think it would have helped a lot to have Lalaine (Miranda) appear in the movie, but it is still an overall great film. There's a decent plot, beautiful scenery from Rome, good acting, and a character and story that deserves what is has for its positive message.

Review: WHAT I MEAN BY THAT IS ALL THE MOVIES THAT TAKE PLACE IN ROME ARE SO SAPPY AND FULL OF IT! "When in Rome" with Mary Kate and Ashley totally sucked because they put ppl in it that couldn't act and were just FAKE! I HATE the Olsewn Twins! They make so much money off of nothing! PLEASE STOP BUYING THEIR CRAP!! "Sabrina Goes to Rome" was a pretty boring movie. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the series on tv but that movie was pretty boring. "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" was the perfect movie! It had adventure, comedy, and romance. Hilary Duff is an awesome actress and a singer! I also love the ending when they're dancing and singing. Hilary Duff is actually a really nice person and she CAN sing! The only flaw about this movie is the Trevvi Fountain thing where they throw a coin in and wish for something and they get their wish. THAT IS GETTING SO OLD!! STOP DOING IT!!

Summary: Fluffy and lacks acting skills
Review: The whole movie was completely pointless with hillary duff dancing around like some maniac. There is only like one scene in the whole movie without hillary and the plot is completely unbelievable. The only highlight of the entire movie was the extremely HOT italien rock star, Paulo Valisari, who in my opinion is the only one that can act. Yet, the only decent character turns out to be evil in the end! I guess fans of the series will enjoy the sometimes romantic parts of the movie. On the whole, the movie was bad, but if you like hot foreign guys and hillary duff, i guess u may enjoy this film.

Summary: Not what I was expecting
Review: I saw this movie in the movie theatre and as a big fan of the Lizzie McGuire show was very disappointed. I thought the whole thing from beginning to end was predictable and dull. Not the worst I've ever seen, but definitely lacking the charm of the small screen series. Here's why:

1) The plot was stupid. The whole point of the show is about a normal girl and her normal friends. But what normal girl gets mistaken for a famous pop star? I know it's supposed to be a fairy tale, but that was never the point of the show. Who can relate to a girl who gets everything she ever wants?

2) Not enough other characters. Hilary is beautiful and charming onscreen but her acting skills are not so amazing to carry a whole movie. And the guy with the second amount of screetime was that creep Paolo. I missed Matt, Melina, the parents and all the other characters I have gotten to know and love. For me, Ethan and Mrs. Ungermeyer was the best parts of the whole film!

3) Missing castmembers. Hello, the second credited actress on the series was missing. Lizzie's best friend Miranda has miraculously disappeared. Larry Tudgeman is also missing.

4) Lizzie being a popstar. Never once in the entire series did Lizzie show any desire to sing. So now we are supposed to believe that this is her calling. It's a little too convenient that Hilary Duff just happened to start a music career at the same time as her alter ego Lizzie decides to start belting out tunes. It's called synergy baby and nobody else knows how to work it like Disney.

Bottom line: Stay home and watch the series on tv.

Review: This film is one of the best I have seen. It really relates to what I want to do and who I want to be. I watched the Lizzie Mcguire series and really enjoyed it but this is even better. It is so funny and me and my mates enjoyed every bit of it! i am really happy for Hilary Duff and I think she is a great singer and hope shell do very well.
