Summary: I don't know...
Review: Call me a wet blanket but I think this movie is BAD for young girls. Hilary Duff is one of the most beautiful teenagers I have ever seen with absolutely no awkwardness whatsoever. (Making her fall in every scene in the movie and putting her in tomboy clothes doesn't make her awkward). This movie sends the wrong message because "Lizzie" is getting by on her beauty and her "cuteness". She meets a guy who is so overcome by her beauty he falls in love with her, offers her a ride on his moped and a chance to sing with him, posing as another girl who turns out to be- her sister??

Critics will say "but young girls love her" "this movie made money" "this is every girl's dream". Sure it is. But in REAL LIFE dreams are achieved by ambition, intelligence, wisdom and confidence NOT beauty and cuteness. Wouldn't it be refreshing, inspiring and more realistic if this "Lizzie" got offered a moped ride, a chance to sing and a boy for the qualities I mentioned, not the qualities emphasized in this movie?

Why can't they do this for girls? Seems to me they don't think the average girl has the capability (or the looks) to accomplish such dreams.

Summary: It was really cute
Review: My two nieces are nuts about Lizzie Mc Guire so I was anxious to see the movie and know what the fuss was all about.

Lizzie Mc Guire (Hilary Duff) is your common teenager - shy, afraid of singing for her parents at home, image conscious, and a little brother who tries to get her most embarassing moments on videotape for blackmail.

When the class president is unable to make the speech at her junior high school graduation, and the VP is MIA, Mc Guire (class treasurer) is chosen for the task a few minutes before the ceremony begins. She stutters throughout the speech, says the president would have wanted her to get a drink of water, trips over the stage curtain, and the whole thing winds up on "Good Morning America."

Lizzie goes on a trip to Rome with her classmates (and trying to forget her foul up and make a "fresh start" didn't hurt) and meets up with charismatic Paolo (Yani Gellman). People mistake her for Paolo's singing partner, Isabella (who looks like Lizzie with black hair). He tells Lizzie that Isabella doesn't want anything to do with the duo anymore and how she will have to make an appearance on the Italian Video Music Awards and act as Isabella so he is not sued by his record company.

The only gripe I have was some unfavorable depictions of Italians in the movie (there's more to the language than "Si") but there is justice done in the beautiful depictions of La Citta Eterna - Rome.

The ending wasn't at all what I had expected, coming out of virtually nowhere (which is great. If you know what's going to happen, why bother seeing the movie?). Hilary Duff is cute and her character is simply adorable.

I don't want to ruin the ending but take your children to see it. It's definitely worth it.

Summary: Great Movie!!!
Review: This movie was totally amazing. I didn't think it would be this good after some of the reviews I had heard, but it totally surprised me. The music was great in it and the ending really touches your heart. 2 thumbs up for the writer and for Hilary Duff for starring in it.

Summary: Loved it!
Review: I thought the movie was good. I can see Hilary Duff going far with her acting career because she acts so natural around a camera. It was a very cute movie and I would gladly go see it again in the theater. Most people will say this is a kiddie movie, but that isn't true. I am 15, and I thought the movie was great...Go see it, buy it, or something!!

Summary: Hilary Duff makes this movie
Review: Being a fan of Lizzie Mcguire (the tv show), of course I had to see the movie, i even got out of school early to do so. I thought the movie was great, but I expected a little more, I don't know exactly what...but something. I think Hilary Duff made this movie and honestly if she weren't in this movie, I don't think I would have liked it that much. Go see it though, it's worth your money. Maybe it's not as good as Holes, but it's definately better than What A Girl Wants.

Summary: Better than I thought
Review: Well lets see... Before I saw Holes and saw how good Disney had made it I though " Wow Disney is going to ruin Lizzie McGuire and Hilary's career" But after Holes I saw they could do SOME things correctly so I checked it out. It was good. It was excellent family entertainment while teens won't mind seeing it because of Hilary! I would know. It wasn't really funny but threw in a few things that made me chuckle. They really did a good job transforming what was a sitcom of a teen in school to and adventure. The only obvious thing was that Disney made sure that Hilary's singning career was advertised out in the open, playing two parts that sing in the movie. But this doesn't interfere as she is a good singer and is part of the over all scheme of things. I wouldn't mind picking up the album. I thought it was done well and made a pretty good transition to the big screen. The only people who would raise an eyebrow at this movie probably has't seen the TV show TWO THUMBS UP go ahead and give this a try. It's charm will just rub off on you and keep you smiling!

Summary: Lizzie McGuire....How Disapppointing
Review: I am 16 and I was very disappointed. Lizzie was a brat in this. Kate was incredibly nice, and Ethan was smart. I think it was really mean of Lizzie to totally ditch Gordo for the cute popstar. Some parts were ok but the plot was dumb. They were nothing like the TV characters people love. I think if you see this movie you are bound to be let down, because of its slowness.

Summary: Discovering Boredom
Review: This time Disney Channel has gone too far with annoying adventures of beautiful places. (Rome has lots of fantastic sight-seeings, but this Rome adventure was the most boring Rome adventure yet) In THE LIZZIE MCGUIRE MOVIE, Lizzie falls in love with a nasty villian named Paulo. You won't believe what Paulo did to Lizzie before the concert, he wanted Lizzie to lip-sing, so he can make his friend (well, they are not friends) Isabella, to be way worse than Pauloa and embarass her on stage. I guess that Disney Channel made it so boring ever. Gordo takes Isabella good-for-nothing to explain what is happening.

Like every Disney DVD makes good sneak peaks, this one made the most boring sneak peak of a wonderful animated film The Lion King. It rests me and bores the hell out of me. The characters and the scenes where so tacky, crappy and annoying. That is the whole joke, and it never deviates to clever comedies. I suspect Jim Fall and Stan Rogow are at least partly to blame for the big fat geeked-up girl-on-first-adventure-to-Rome-ruined type of movie. This recipe has become more and more trying with each attempt made at a full-length feature after Piglet's Big Movie. So this is a level with Max Keeble's Big Move and one below Agent Cody Banks.

Disney Channel learned after Big Fat Liar or Finding Nemo that it could simply pump out sentimental obvious dumbsity and think "oooh! We will still make a prophit. How exciting?!!!," because kids appreciate more hyperactive, (Well, kids appreciate better movies than this garbage) instant gags than they use. Admittley, I did not enjoy the sneak peak of The Lion King on this garbaged DVD or any of the other sneak peaks, except for Sleeping Beauty. Surprisingly, this adventure and scenes were not so intresting or pretty than my theatre looked before seeing this garbaged-up film. Soon, after weeks it came out to theatres, I except the theatre was thoroughly empty. They did editing for way less than 1 or 2 minutes or way less than 10 seconds.

I hope Disney Channel just concentrates more and makes something exciting and awsome. I think Disney Channel would get a negative number a run of it's money someday!
