Summary: Time to enjoy and think about relationships
Review: As the mother of young 20 years daughter I had a lot of fun when I watched this film. The acting is very good, it is not Felini's but realistic unrealistic situation which could be so
desirable to the mother point of view. The film is about the tolerance and having fun and joy in life. I think this is the success pill to anyone. The plot is the " sugar infusion" into reality but let's pretend and have fun. I saw it one and a half times, I needed to see the whole thing after I came late to the show. Enjoy if you young and you are the parent.....

Summary: (4 1/2) WOW! ACTUALLY BETTER THAN THE TRAILERS
Review: SURPRISE #1 ! The idea behind this movie actually manages to succeed due to excellent directing (Mark Waters), very good casting, an interesting script, and the musical element to the story. Jamie Lee Curtis is an amazing teenager.

SURPRISE#2 ! There were a lot of truly funny moments that weren't in the trailers (which concentrated on the slapstick and one liners), in fact this is one of the few comedies that I believe is actually better than the trailers. (The humor is at times physical, often situational, but never crude or overtly sexual in nature.)

WARNING ! Don't attend this film if you hate rock music. The music (and its loudness) are a key element of the story.

This was entertaining beyond my expectations. Tess Coleman (Jamie Lee Curtis) is an obsessive psychiatrist with a teenage daughter Anna (Lindsay Lohan) who not atypically are often at odds, especially concerning the daughter's musical ambitions. The relationship is stressed further by the fact that Anna has not come to terms with the fact that the widowed Tess is about to remarry. As you would expect, there is also a boy, Jake (Chad Michael Murray) of interest to Anna. Other members of the cast whose supporting roles are well played include Tess' fiance Ryan (Mark Harmon) and Anna's grandpa (Harold Gould). As the marriage date approaches and tensions escalate, suddenly rehearsal Friday becomes very freaky when Tess and Anna discover that they have switched bodies. As they try to cope with the bizarre situation and at the same time keep it secret lest they be considered crazy, the inevitable problems occur. Can Tess pass Anna's school test? Can Anna counsel Tess' patients?

What makes the movie effective and fun is that it has the right mix of comedy and seriousness. It doesn't try to come up with a serious explanation of how the switch occurs, it just stages it in a fun way and then moves on. Yet, instead of playing everything for laughs, it actually uses the basic element of the story to seriously address the issue of what would happen and how our viewpoints might change if we had to spend a day as someone else with whom we often disagree. Tess and Anna are both frantic to resume their lives, but can only do that by truly understanding the viewpoint of the person whose body they inhabit. Thus, they are changed forever by the experience. So this is a fun movie for everyone - family members, couples, friends, etc. Just remember, the music is loud!

Summary: Parent-trapped
Review: It's a comedy based on an old version and a novel about a girl named Anna (Lohan) and her mom Tess (Lee Curtis) who don't get along and when they have a fortune cookie they switch bodies and all they have to do is get along and then they will go back to their own bodies. It's a really double hilarous comedy of all like Finding Nemo.

Summary: Totally fun and entertaining! I can't wait to see it again!
Review: Totally fun movie - the story is adorable, acting is truly awesome, and the music is fantastic!!! The teenage daughter is the same adorable girl from Parent Trap and she is even better in Freaky Friday than in Parent Trap. Jamie Lee Curtis is just phenominal. I have always liked her, but after this movie I have a new respect and admiration for her! I can't wait to take my 7 year old daughter back to see this again. The first time my husband and 9 year old son came and they completely enjoyed it, too!

Summary: Freaky Fun!!!!
Review: Forget Finding Nemo, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Lord Almighty PLEASE let us forget Gigli!!!!! Freaky Friday is the best movie of the year!!! I dont care what everyone else says!!!!! I know its the second remake of the 1976 original, but it still brings a lot of fun for the entire family!!! Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan have such good chemistry that they will make you believe they are REALLY inside eachothers bodies!!! They really fooled me into thinking that throughout the entire movie! Anyway go and see this movie! you will not stop laughing until the credits start to roll!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: surprisingly excellent..........
Review: The acting is excellent. The story is relevant and touching. The music is great. Each scene and each conversation in the film hang together to make a cohesive whole that flows seamlessly. I must admit that despite the fact that Jamie Lee Curtis is starring in this movie, I was definitely not expecting to love it.

I remember the first version of this movie in the mid 1970s with Barbara Harris (I had to look up who played the mom's role), and Jodie Foster (whom I clearly remember). I liked it O.K. at the time. However, I have not once thought about it nostalgically or wanted to see it again.

This time around is very different. Jamie Lee Curtis (Mom) and Lindsay Lohan (Daughter) are extremely convincing after they are switched into each other's bodies. I was definitely able to "suspend disbelief" and buy into their dilemma. They make the mother-daughter love and hate and tension and stress convincing and transforming for the viewers.

Mark Harmon (step-father to be) and the younger brother are clearly necessary - and interesting - assets, too. The "ick" factor that the Daughter in Mom's body experiences when she thinks about marrying Harmon is priceless - especially for those of us who have always known that he is hot!

This is definitely a great family movie. It is one that the ENTIRE family is likely to adore, and it is also just one more reason to adore Jamie Lee Curtis!!

Summary: My mom and I just *Ioved it*!
Review: This is the best sort of "chick flick" to take your mom to and no, age doesn't matter since it addresses the classic "mother and daughter" arguement, regardless of age.

We laughed from the opening sequence until it ended, and yes, Jamie Lee is still one amazing actress.

It's poignant, funny, well-written and sentimental at the same time, but it really is Jamie Lee's movie.

I first saw the trailer a few months back before "Finding Nemo", and afterwards I found out that Catherine Zeta-Jones didn't accept the role, and I'm so glad that she didn't.

So, treat your mom to lunch or dinner and go and see this movie together. Enjoy the time with your mom, go and have pie or cheesecake and ice cream (or coffee and apertifs!) after the movie, since it's just *that* kind of a film.

Oh, and bring a ton of tissues; if you're not feeling anything or laughing, you might want to see if you still have a heartbeat.

Summary: Great Movie You should watch
Review: I loved this movie. It is about a mother and daughter who fight over who is right. They get into a fight at a Chinese restutrant. An old woman gives them both fortune cookies. The next morning they find out that they have switched lives. That is where the trouble really begins. Ana the daughter is a teenager who is in a rock band, gets in trouble at school, and has a crush on the school janitor. Ellen the mother is a physcologist who everybody thinks has the perfect life, perfect boy friend, but she really doesn't. You should check out this movie. I know that you have a teen age daughter or a perfect mother. You will love this movie.
