Review: This movie was defenitly #1 on my list. It is a great movie to see with your mother. It has a valuable lesson and a great and funny story line. Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsey Lohan portray the parts of mother and daughter switching places fantastically!
All in all it was a great movie and you should defenitly go see it!!

its like about this teenager and shes in a garage band and her moms a therapist, and she has this totally annoying (ive been there) little brother, and she and her mom get this fortune cookie that makes them change bodies so suddenly shes her mom whos supposed to get married like the next day and talk to all these people cause shes a therapist, and then she (the teenager) is supposed to audition for their band and she has this math test in school, and the only way they can change back is by being selfless, and its just a blast to watch it! plus the music rocks, its great! i totally reccomend this movie to anybody! go see it! youll like it!!!

Review: this was a very good movie - it had a great moral and it was very touching - when she started playing her guitar solo at the auditions i got goosebumps because it sounded so great - i have seen it 2 times - the acting was superb too. see it!

Summary: A Fun Movie
Review: My husband, 2 young kids (ages 6 and 9) and myself went to see this movie. We all walked out of the theatre is such a good mood. It was refreshing to be able to take our two kids to see a movie that we adults enjoyed just as much. There's not too many movies that Hollywood puts out that are family friendly and enjoyable by all. No swearing - just good clean fun. Yes, it's a remake. Yes, I was a kid during the original but truly enjoyed the music and the actors - Lindsey Lohan does an outstanding job as an adult and Jamie Lee Curtis does an amazing comedic job of being a teenager. Don't listen to the first review. They don't know what they are talking about. If you are looking for a good clean fun movie to see with the whole family go and see this one.

Review: When I heard about Disney's new Freaky Friday, I did not want to believe it. After all, this is the second remake, following a 1976 film and 1995 TV version, of Mary Rodger's book about a bickering mother and daughter who magically change bodies. Add to that the countless times the same exact plot has been recycled over and over again. Never would I have expected such a thing to happen again. So why did Fteaky Friday become one of my favorite films of the year? Well, for starters, the stars not only have incredible chemistry, but they give superb performances. Plus, the film gives a fresh, unique, and contemporary spin to the familiar story, taking full advantage of the zany plot. Don't wanna give it away, see for yourself!Here is the 'plot' in a nutshell: Widowed psychotherapist Tess Coleman (Jamie Lee Curtis) is a bit of a control freak, currently going into overdrive due to her impending wedding to Ryan (Mark Harmon). Her 15-year-old daughter, Anna (Lindsay Lohan), is sure Mom has no clue about her existence. Things reach a head at a family lunch in a Chinese restaurant, where an old woman (Lucille Soong) thinks the Coleman women could benefit from looking through each other's eyes. The next morning, Tess finds herself in Anna's supple, younger form, while Anna is stuck with her mother's "Crypt Keeper" wrinkles. The premise allows for a lot of physical and character comedy, which greatly benefits this new version. Anna gives Tess a much needed makeover with shorter hair and hipper clothes, and Tess wears Anna's hair up in a bun and dons conservative business attire. Other confusions involve the mother flirting with her daughter's heartthrob (Chad Michael Murray) and the daughter fending off the romantic advances of her mother's soon-to-be-husband. Naturally, the two learn meaningful things about one another and begin to see each other in a new light. Curtis is a vastly underrated comedienne if ever there was one, and Lohan is the sharpest of up-and-coming young actresses. Both are wonderfully in sync, and the biggest laughs come from seeing how perfectly they assume each other's little idiosyncrasies. Screenwriters Heather Hach and Leslie Dixon have created consistently organic humor that comes from the situations at hand rather than through coincidence, and director Mark Waters never lays out the sentiment or life lessons with too heavy a hand. After Finding Nemo and Pirates of the Caribbean, Disney has another hit on its hands this summer. Surprisingly, this is one remake that actually fares better than the versions (any version) before it!

Review: Freaky Friday is one of my new favorite movies. If you are looking for a new, fresh, and fun movie to please you, this movie is a must! About a mother and a daughter who don't understand each other swich bodies, because of a chiness fourtune and can only swich back once they are understanding.

Summary: Expected better from a Disney movie...
Review: I went into this movie thinking 'Lohan is no Jodie Foster, but she is still pretty talented'. However, I was sadly disappointed. This remake wasn't nearly as good as the first movie!! The girl is entirely overdramatic and not a very fun character to watch. The only thing I really liked about her was that she played in a garage band. But the girl wasn't as developed as I would have liked. She isn't a rebel or a goodie two shoes, she just is. I believe the producers have utterly failed to capture a realistic teenage character(and I think I have the authority to say that as I am 15) Then, the mother, Jamie Lee Curtis, is a psychologist. I think a lot of her scenes with her patients could have been spiced up a bit. Also, when she is trying to psycho analyze her children, she could have played this up a bit more to add some comedy, that the mvoie is lacking! In all, the movie took itself far too seriously. This kind of movie should been more comedy than melodrama! I feel like if the rating had been moved up, the movie would have had more room for humor and drama. I think poor Walt may have rolled over in his grave. I expected better from a Disney movie.

Review: For those who complain that movie remakes are inferior to the original, this updated version of "Freaky Friday" is not going to give them any grounds to complain. This 2003 version of the classic Disney film is not simply up to date, it is smarter and a lot funnier. Some of the credit goes to screenwriters Heather Hach and Leslie Dixon, who adapted Mary Rodgers's novel, but when you leave the theater the main person you are going to be raving about is Jamie Lee Curtis, as the mom who finds herself in the body of her daughter (and visa versa). Curtis is Dr. Tess Coleman, who is getting remarried in two days and is still at loggerheads with her daughter, Anna (Linday Lohan), over pretty much everything in the world, from her school work and kid brother to the cute boy at school (Chad Michael Murray) that she likes and the once in a lifetime opportunity for her band, Pink Slip, to audition. Not that mom does not have her own problems with her hectic life, but clearly these two need to have a better idea of what the other is going through. Enter the mother (Lucille Soong) of the owner of the local Chinese restaurant, who has a couple of special fortune cookies that lead to the ensuing wackiness. Of course the main fun is watching each struggle with the life of the other and along the way each makes a few improvements for the other. While "Mom" has to deal with a morning's worth of needy patients, the publication of her new book, and the upcoming nuptials, "Anna" needs to deal with an English teacher out to get her, an important test, and Jake, the aforementioned cute boy. Things become even more complicated when Jake starts showing more interest in Anna's mind in mom's body than in Anna's body, while Anna's mind in mom's body is trying to stay at arm's length from her mom's fiancée. Yes, it sounds complicated, but that is why this is so much fun Even better, I think moms who go to see this film are going to enjoy it a lot more than the daughters they drag along, simply because they are old enough to get more of the jokes. Curtis is absolutely delightful. While Loman is clearly try to play Curtis in some scenes, Curtis is not interested in channeling Loman; she just plays being a teenager trapped in a woman's body for all it is worth (maybe she is channeling one of her daughters). Yes, the trailer for "Freaky Friday" gives away one of its best lines, but rest assured there is more fun to be had in this film (a lot of it having to do with great looks as well as funny lines). Lohan is appropriately cute, looking her best when she gets to rock 'n' roll with her electric guitar, and It is also great to see Harold Gould in a choice part as grandpa. But I have to make special mention of Mark Harmon, who play's mom's fiancé. This is a role--the clueless guy stuck in the middle of the craziness--that is traditionally played for laughs and overblown in movies like this one, but Harmon is low-keyed and on target from start to finish. While Curtis moves from one hysterical scene to the next, it is Harmon who anchors the film and who is able to bring both mother and daughter home. Like countless others I have seen the original "Freaky Friday," which was a rather sedate little parable starring Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster. But this new version is a lot better. I suppose that since this movie has come out in the middle of the year and is a comedy that Jamie Lee Curtis will not get an Oscar nomination out of this role, but you are going to have a hard time finding a more memorable performance from a leading lady this year. The woman is seriously funny in this film.
