Summary: This is an EXCELLENT MOVIE
Review: Halle Berry in prehistoric times...if it were true I'd have loved to have been there. The movie is entertaining for the whole family. It's an amusing movie but the highlight for me was the sexy seductress, miss Sharon Stone...played by the most beatiful women in all of hollywood, Miss Halle Berry. The movie gets 3 stars...Halle gets 5:)

Review: I am a huge Flintstone fan. I use to watch the cartoon show all the time when I was a kid and I still do. But when I heard about the Flintstone movie I was so excited. When I saw The Flintstones in the theater, I really didn't like the movie. The acting was terrible. I was a little disappointed that they put John Goodman as Fred Flintstone. He didn't even look like Fred. Rick Moranis played a great Barney Rubble and Elizabeth Perkins as Wilma she sure did good. Well, there's nothing more to say about this movie because the cartoon show is better. But this movie really sucks! Don't plan on renting it or buying it! Stick with the cartoon show.

Summary: A lot better than E.T
Review: I can't not believe that was Rick Moranis as Barney Rubble. And I'll give you a good reason. Where's his glasses? I saw me wearing glasses in Honey We Shrunk Ourselves. And I'm sure that he wear glasses in the other Honey movies. I aslo have glasses on my face. As the movie opens, Fred Flintstone (John Goodman) has secrtly lent Barney Rubble (Rick Moranis) money so he and his wife Betty Rubble (Rosie O'Donnell) can adpot a kid. But when Fred's wife Wilma (Elizabeth Perkins) wants to buy a new garbage pig, and finds thier savings account empty. She questions Fred about it. And Fred says "I gave it to Barney."

Summary: Simply contrived
Review: I don't suppose it was made for people my age, but having been brought up with various Hanna-Barberra cartoons in the 60s, I had to at least take a peek at this film which the kids were watching. Now I wish I hadn't, for I can't say anything complimentary about this movie. Maybe if I looked harder, I would admit that some of the characters were sympathetic, but not really. Even good, ol' likeable Barney Rubble let me down. The movie suffered from characters that were totally contrived and never able to lift themselves off the flatness of the comic-book page, which is where they should have stayed.

To learn whether this type of movie can ever be successfully made, you can try and find the Claude Berri production of "Asterix," starring Gérard Dépardieu. So far, it doesn't seem to be available in English, and amazon.com doesn't have it at all (May 2000). But there's a movie for you, lifted right off the page. And to think that they've made a second Flintstones movie. Ugh!

Summary: A *FANTASTIC* Movie!!
Review: I have loved this movie since it first came to the theatre. I must have seen it at least twelve times in the theatres. After I watched the movie at the theatre I simply had to have the soundtrack. At the time I only bought cassettes, so I got the Flintstones cassette. Just yesterday, I bought the Flintstones soundtrack on CD. When the movie came out on VHS I bought it. I plan on buynig the DVD.

Rick Moranis is one of my all time favorite actors. He was a fantastic at playing Barney Rubble. Barney was always my favorite character.

A few years ago, when I went to Orlando, Florida I got to see the actual Flintstones car, and some of the other props from the film. Naturally, I had to have pictures taken of them.

If you haven't seen this film I suggest going to your local Blockbuster and renting it. You won't be disapointed.

Summary: A FEEL GOOD MOVIE!
Review: I love The Flintstones, in any shape or form that I can see them. I remember wonderful memories of watching them on TV with my children and now with my grandchildren and I was delighted when the movie came out, I was not disappointed!
John Goodman is great as Fred, rough around the edges but yet
quite loveable! The casting was great, the scenery was great, everything about this movie was just plain fun! That is what it's all about and what it should be about! Fred gets in trouble, Barney bails him out! Simple! Fun! Entertaining!
What more do you want?

Summary: This movie's actually not that bad
Review: I loved a lot of movies as a little kid. But when I see most of them now, they're cheesy and useless (ex.Richie Rich). This is not one of them. John Goodman does a perfect Fred. His performance made this one of the few movies where my favorite character is the star, not the sidekick. On that note, It was very suprising to see Rick Moranis,(Who now is sadly reduced to straight-to-video fare) makes beating the genious Mel Blanc(Bugs Bunny) possible. He also did something very naturally that was never in the cartoon-He made Barney Smart. Kyle Machlachlan(Last name hard to spell) was a delightfully evil bad guy. And Rosie O' Donnell and Elizibeth Perkins do a great job on modernizing fashion friends betty and Wilma. But the production designer deserves a lot of credit for credibly bringing the classic cartoon to physical life.
