Summary: Not the best sesame street video
Review: Both my 2 year old and I found this video paled next to the others in her sesame street collection. There wasn't enough variation in characters or plot and the dance step sequences were pretty complex for the targeted audience. We made it through the whole thing once but I'm guessing that will be the only time.

Summary: 1yr old girl loves it!
Review: Everytime my husband and I buy a new DVD for my daughter, be it Sesame Street or Barney or the Wiggles etc... I'm always afraid that my daugher will not like it. When we bought Zoe's Dance Moves, she didn't really like watching it at first because she was still attached to Sesame Street's,Kids' Favorite songs!! I thought, "Bummer, what a waste of money!". However, after the end of the Favorite Songs DVD, she wanted to watch it all over again and my husband and I were getting tremendously annoyed by the same songs playing over and over again so, I decided to play Zoe's Dance Moves right after and she has grown to love it!! She would bow when Zoe and Paula bows and she'd do the Silly-Willy-Nilly Dance and shake her head like Zoe too! She even tips her toes up when they do the ballet dance and bounce around to the rhythm of the African dance!!! And when I get up and dance along with her, she's ecstatic!! Yup, there are some clips in it that were produced earlier but hey! it's all worth it when you see your little one dance so enthusiastically !

Summary: Horrible
Review: I agree with the other reviews, this video was horrible and I wish I hadn't wasted my money! I too thought it was suppose to be a great video for kids to learn all different types of dances...instead we got Paula in a tight outfit doing intro's to dances that are too complicated for non-professional adults never mind three year olds. Not to mention 80% of the video are old clips of dances for Sesame Street that are from the 80's. Horrible waste of money, don't bother!!!!

Summary: Great exposure to the art of dance for my 1 year old!
Review: I bought this for my daughter when she was 13 months old to add to the rest of her Sesame Street Collection. She loves this tape the best! Zoe and Elmo are great and Paula Abdul is tolerable, but the short acts and cartoons between the dance studio scenes are just as entertaining (there's one with a young Savion Glover).

The dances include ballet, African, Asian, tap, and hip hop, but her absolute favorite is Zoe's dance, the SILLY WILLY NILLY. Whenever she knows it's next in the sequence, she gets her arms ready and starts flailing them about like Zoe.

My husband enjoys watching it as well, so we make it a family dance lesson with the three of us. It's one of those videos where the parents really have to get into it with their child. If you're not excited about it, why should your child be too? It's easy for me, since I was a H.S/college cheerleader, but I could understand why some reviews haven't been as enthusiastic.

We highly recommend it to others who want their toddlers to learn about rhythm and movement. Obviously, they won't be able to get the choreography down pat, especially the hip hop, but at least they look cute trying!

Summary: Fun time with dance and culture
Review: I bought this video for my 18-month-old daughter because she loves Elmo and Zoe. I also like Paula Abdul and dance. We both have really enjoyed it. I like the exposure to all the different dance styles. I would have liked to have seen more Latin dance styles. I think she will gain more appreciation of the dancing as she grows up. Right now she really enjoys dancing with the kids. Don't miss gospel greats BeBe and CeCe singing during the final credits.

Summary: My 3 1/2 year old loves it!
Review: I highly recommend this video. My 3 1/2 year old daughter loves. She can't exactly do all of the dance moves, but she jumps up and down and dances to it. She loves Zoe and Elmo too, so it's already a favorite.

Summary: Fun for all ages
Review: I recently bought Zoe's Dance Moves for my niece's 3rd birthday. She LOVES it. The different dances keep her attention and up and moving the whole time. The nice surprize is that my 7 year old niece who thinks she is too old for Sesame Street is mesmerized by it too. She dance right along with Paula and Zoe. It nice to have a DVD they can both agree on and are up dancing to vs. sitting and watching. And as always with Sesame Street the multi-ethnicity is great.

Summary: Waste of money
Review: I sincerely wish that I hadn't wasted my money. My 3 year old refuses to watch this video and I can't say that I blame her. The dance moves are too complicated for the targeted audience and in some cases the moves were down right innappropriate. I mean come on, was it really necessary to put Paula in a belly-baring shirt and have her swinging her hips around? I thought this was supposed to be a video for preschoolers? Sesame Street dropped the ball on this one. Not to mention Paula's voice grates on your nerves 10 minutes into the video. All that said, we'll stick with the other Sesame Street videos and toss this one out.

Summary: Great DVD for kids
Review: I think this is a fantastic DVD! My 2year old can watch it 3 times in a row and is learning all the dance moves. It is also very entertaining for adults as well. I love the fact that it exploress ALL cultures of dance. A definite keeper!

Summary: Don't waste your money
Review: I was really looking forward to getting this video for my 18 month old daughter. This is a child that will dance when commercials come on TV! However, I thought the dance moves were too difficult for toddler-to-preschool age children (even the kids in the video were older.) There also wasn't as much music in it as I would have thought. My daughter quickly lost interest. Also, I thought Paula Abdul just wasn't a good choice as hostess. Preschool dance teacher, she just isn't!!

The best part of the whole video (in my toddler's opinion) was the cartoon where the animated birds were dancing either fast or slow, depending on the rhythm. That lasted about 25 seconds, tops.

My advice is, save your hard-earned money for something your kids will really enjoy!
