Summary: Better than the first one
Review: The kids love this film because it's more good fun with Buzz and Woody. I love this film because it has a surprisingly sophisticated storyline. Woody's dilemma (full life vs. sterile immortality) is presented in a way that is touching without becoming maudlin. Plus, all the in-jokes, movie spoofs, and eye-popping Pixar animation make it a hoot to watch! Which all means that I usually end up sitting down and watching with the kids when they pop this one in the VCR.

DVD of Toy Story is excellent. Picture Quality and Sound Quality digitally remastered by George Lucas`s THX. With great 1.Lfe bass on the first Toy Story and part 2. A great DVD to own. 4½ Stars/ 5 Stars. I also review Toy Story 2 under my name. Grade:A.

Summary: A Wonderful Sequel!
Review: I never seen Toy Story 2 when it was in the theatres but I knew before seeing it that when it cam out on video I would get it when it came out on it's release date. I got it, watched and was extremely pleased with it. I think that it was as good as the first Toy Story [which I also have]. It was nice to see that they showcased the story behind the origin of Woody. This is a movie that be watched over and over again. I highly recommend this movie to anyone if they liked the first Toy Story or enjoys Disney films in general.

Summary: A Great Comic and Sentimental trip
Review: I think Toy Story 2 is better than the 1st. The animation is even more realistic and lively. It's the story though, that truly astounded me. It is sentimental and funny.I think everyone has had a favorite toy and as we come of age, we lose interest in it. While I certainly don't believe toys have feelings, the story can be transcended into reality. The toys can be symbolic of a best friend from childhood, and with the way the world is today, it is easy to grow apart as we grow up. Someday we may go back to find that friend and become tied to them again, and sometimes we just have to let them go and know that they will be best friends with someone else. I believe that this is the true heart of this movie. While this is certainly a great movie for kids, adults like me, will certainly find the humor and entertainment value in it as well.

Summary: This is as good as DVD video can get
Review: Wow, all these days I've been enjoying this DVD all alone. Now, I have company from my 2-year old son and guess what? He is driving me crazy with his obsession with this DVD. He doesn't want Barney or anything else on TV but Toy Story. He prefers Toy Story 2. Now, I am finally getting tired watch too much of it EACH and everyday.

<the following is my original review>

Wow, what quality you can get with 500 line resolution. After I saw this DVD I was wondering how much better can a High Definition DVD can be? I am sure it can't be any better than this!! If it can, I wouldn't notice it. I enjoyed watching it. A great way to start Disney collection. Can't wait for the Bug's Life DVD to get cheaper.

Summary: Must Own
Review: If you saw the first Toy Story, you have to get the 2nd. This is one of the most comical box sets ever. It is great for children and adults alike and it has great re-watchability. One of only a handful of sequels to top the original, though the original is pretty good in its own right. If you have kids and like to watch movies with them, you need this DVD.

Summary: this is why DVD's exist!
Review: What a compilation! You simply have to buy this 3-pack. The extra features really show you, in detail, how these two wonderful films came to fruition. If you are at all interested in the way this animation works-the 3rd disc shows you! If you want to hear music demos-you've got that too. Simply put, everything you want and need to know is jammed packed into the convenience of a DVD.

You simply can't help but smile at the Toy story series. The mix of adult-level humor with childlike joy make these movies for the ages.

You must have this!

Summary: 2 or 3 disc sets.Hmm
Review: When writing a reviews on the DVD sets, please make sure to mention which set you are referring to. Some of the reviews go into great detail about all the extra features, but fail to mention that most of those special features are only available in the 3 DVD set.It can be misleading to people who don't know the difference and then order the wrong set.

Summary: TS 1&2 are great, but disc 3 is a hugh disappointment
Review: Toy Story 1 & 2 are wonderful to watch on DVD, but disc 3 in this set is a disappointment! The menu-driven approach is beyond reasonable with no way to watch the very short segments in order. Thus it doesn't seem to be designed for a child to watch/enjoy. Some segments require up to 8 entries and take a long time to find. We waited so long for this ... it could have been much better.

Summary: The toys are back in town
Review: Toy Story 2 is one of those sequels that take the success and beauty from the original picture and create something more. Pixar and Disney created a film that is more entertaining and more philosophical than its predecessor. It maintains the light-hearted, easy atmosphere from Toy Story and A Bug's Life, but this time with a plot that comes more from the toy's point-of-view along with some of the most original humor ever thought up for an animated picture. It's a satisfying trip all the way.

It picks up where Toy Story left off: Woody and Buzz made up and everyone's all good. Then, by accident, Woody ends up in the home of a greedy toy collector (voiced by, of course, Wayne Knight). So what's the objective now? Buzz leads Hamm, Rex, Mr. Potatohead, and Slinky on a mission to save Woody, a mission that will make you cheer and laugh. Toy Story 2 also explores the history of Woody himself, something we never really thought about in the first picture. The rest is up to you to see, because once you've seen it, you'd want to recommend it to friends too.

The first Toy Story was amazing. Toy Story 2 built upon that, reassuring that Pixar and the filmmakers are the real thing. Toy Story 2 managed to outgross Princess Mononoke, a film I give credit to since it was Hayao Miyazaki films the Disney animators turned to whenever they needed inspiration. This movie is for everyone. It's delightful and a lot of fun. Pixar and Disney are really going infinity...and beyond.
