Summary: Great movie, Great DVD!
Review: I got this DVD for my nephew, and I'm glad that I did! Snow White is crisper and brighter than ever, and the DVD has many hours of extras that are interesting and fun to watch. Unlike other Disney DVDs, this one is full of extras just as it should be. I also like the option that you can see it in French, cause that's interesting. The movie is beautifully done, and the animation, though early, is actually very detailed and beautiful. There is humor in the movie involving animals and the dwarfs, and Grumpy just steals the stage with his ignorant comments that make you laugh! Dopey is also very cute because he never talks, yet he is charming. He is bursting with personality although he never mutters a word! This is a film to be enjoyed. As to the mother who reviewed and said that the part with the witch was to scary: My 2 year old nephew has watched this many times, and never has he been frightened. He may say, "What happening?", but he loves this movie.

Summary: As happy as ever...
Review: I saw this film first some 15 years ago - and I laid hands on the DVD version recently. While yes - the extras were great, and I discovered the soup song for the first time, what thrilled me most was the film itself. I was pretty surprised to see some complaints over the animation - for to me, this is the most perfect of all Disney animations. I find the more modern films like "Beauty & the beast" to render the feature corners a little too sharp. The dwarfs are perhaps the most enjoyable part of the whole film with Dopey an obvious favorite. And Snowwhite is my favorite princess too !! And like the icing on the cake, we have the superb music - perhaps the best of all Disney soundtracks. While every song is a delight, my greatest favorite is "With a smile and a song". Simplicity of words and tune create the most magical of melodies. A joy forever...

Summary: A lost treasure....
Review: It had been so long since I had seen this movie, I had forgotten everything but the bare bones of the story. I bought this DVD for my little girl and just got the pleasure of seeing it again with her. She's still too young to get the most out of it, but it was a real treat for me (& her Daddy) to watch it again. If you can get your hands on a copy, it's worth every penny to have this classic to share with your little ones.

Summary: Too scary in parts, but a trailblazer of animation
Review: Although this is hailed as a trailblazer of animation--and it probably is--that's nice. But, it is entirely too frightening in parts for kids. I do not have a copy of this movie in my home and my children have yet to see it. I recall seeing this in the theatre and nearly having an anxiety attack when the witch was doing her thing. Scary, man. We forget how innocent our children are--and should be, and should be kept that way. there is plenty of time in adulthood--heck, even in adolescence--to become jaded, frightened and educated. Leave this one on the shelf.

Review: This is one of my favorite Walt Disney classics I really did enjoy this it was so cute and entertaing especially the parts when her and the dwarfs sings and dance it is so nice I especially love the part when the prince kisses her and then she awakes and then the two of them ride off int he sunset!!!!I thought it was terrible how the witch was able to give her the apple and then she had went into a deep sleep!!!

Summary: Not really satisfied
Review: I liked this movie better when I was younger. But when I grew up, I realzed how much I disliked it, I'm sorry. A great first, but not the 'greatest Disney film ever' as other people said it was. This movie is not totally kid-friendly, this movie gives my little cousin the creeps. Snow White's voice was totally annoying, and I felt I should have brought earmuffs everytime my young best friend watches it. A scary-looking queen transforming into an even SCARIER witch? Not kid's stuff. I think the animation is also crude, but it's an old movie.
Don't get me wrong, I love Disney movies but this is a movie I will not totally like. I absolutely love Bambi and all the other animal films, and the modern princess movies. I'm sorry if I sound unfair, but this movie gives me the creeps. My little cousin hides it under all the other DVDs. But I have to admit, the bonus stuff were great.

Summary: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Disney Platinum Edition)
Review: The product arrived in 2 days (I couldn't believe it)! Everything was as advertised. Lithos were slightly bent on corners, but professional mat & frame will hide imperfections. Images superb! Seller was beyond belief!!! I sent several e-mail questions; his response time was always less than 24 hours. He was always helpful and delightful. Other sellers never bothered to reply even once.
