Review: It's true; the Pink Panther cartoons look old. It's also true that they ARE old. This is how they were made, and it's also how they were meant to be seen. We should simply enjoy them for what they are, which is a series of outstanding short animated films.

Review: Just a comment on some of the above reviews that asked why there weren't more cartoons on the DVD. In Europe the complete set is available (Region 2 DVDs). Four DVDs, 900 minutes, 124 episodes of Pink Panther Animation plus extras. I think this may be what some folks are looking for. You can find it on Amazon.co.uk and its called The Pink Panther Cartoon Collection.

Review: Many cartoons in this DVD are nice, but others are of low quality. You definately can't tell the diference in quality between this title and the VHS titles.

Summary: My Toddler Loves This DVD
Review: My 2 year-old daughter has been watching this video since she was 8 months old. She loves to follow along with the Pink Panther and he always seems to make her giggle. I wish they had more episodes on DVD!

Review: No enhancements to degraded film... yes it is old. They could have put way more clips on here then they did. ANY Ant and Aardvark going to be released? If you are a fan of the Pink Panther at all you better get this one for your DVD library. It is still fun and nostalgic. I still gave the series a 5 Star though the DVD compiling and quality gets 2 Stars in comparison to similar release formats.

Review: once I watched this dvd I remember my childhood, my kids just love it. I believe Amazon needs to sell more dvd of these cartoons, like Top Cat, Atom Ant, Secret Squirrel, muttley and many others, If You buy this DVD, you will see that all your family will enjoy it.

Summary: Not as good as when I was a kid...
Review: Remember all of the great shows you liked as a kid?? And when you see that there is a DVD out with something you used to love and you run and buy it thinking you will still love it as an adult?? This is not one of them. I LOVED the Pink Panther, but watching it now bores the hell out of me. There are a few shows I can still watch now and love, like Tom & Jerry, Land Of The Lost, and Davey & Goliath, but sorry, Pink Panther dosent cut it for this 29 year old.

Summary: Recommendable to hard-core fans only
Review: The opening episode "In the Pink of the Night" is probably the best of the whole DVD. "Pink Blueprint" and "Toro Pink" are quite good, whereas the title episode "Jet Pink" lags in content and video quality. 1964 Academy Award winning "Pink Phink" features an earlier look -shorter and heavier- of the Pink Panther. The total 52 mins. did not look equally enjoyable to me. I must also note that the mono soundtrack is quite modest in terms of resolution and dynamic range.
If you buy this DVD, you will probably keep seeing some of the episodes and skip the rest. I am happy to have bought this DVD but I must note that the overall quality is mediocre.

Review: The Pink Panther is one of my favorite cartoons I really do enjoy them I have a good time watching them I remember when the Ant and The Aardvark used to come on right along with the Pink Panther. I used to watch the Pink Panther after school whenever I would come home from school I give this DVD 5 stars because I enjoyed the Pink Panther a lot and I still do today so if you like this cartoon I would recommend that you buy it ; You would definitely enjoy it!!!!

Summary: Excellent cartoons - poor transfer
Review: This collection of Pink Panther cartoons includes some of the best made (directed by Friz Freleng, from the original Looney Tunes). The first one made for the series ("The Pink Phink) which won an Oscar is here, as well as "Pink Blueprint" and "Toro Pink". However, tranfer of "Jet Pink" is a shame, as video quality is rather weak. Next time: do a new digital transfer, and add some of the Inspector Closeau cartoons.
