Summary: I recommend this video to all my friends
Review: We asked our friends which videos they liked best for potty training and they recommended this video. It really held my daughters attention because she likes Bear and the songs they sing are catchy and fun. It discusses that accidents are ok, and demonstrates the process of Tutter the mouse taking time away from play to use the toilet.

This video was very helpful in training my daughter and now I'm using it to help potty train my son.

Summary: Does the job!
Review: I know this will sound crazy, but here goes! I was having a VERY difficult time getting my son to go to the potty. He would never tell me he had to go. After watching this video ONE TIME, he started telling me! This is a terrific video. It explains a lot of things about going to the potty in a way the children understand! Thanks Bear in the Big Blue House!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: geared towards older children
Review: My daughter loves watching Bear and requests this video often, but it is above her in terms of helping her to actually potty train--she's 20 months and I think this would be better for a 3+ year old....

Summary: Lack of information
Review: I bought this video when my son is 18 months old. I was very disappointed because it doesn't really mention what is potty or anything about potty training. I think it only good for kids who already know everything and need review or a friendly reminder.

Summary: Too Many Previews
Review: I can understand the need for previews but I would think that since this video is for toddlers 2 or 3 years old we might skip them. My granddaughter is 22 months old. She got very frustrated at the previews as they were mostly above her level. By the time we got to "bear" she was saying "hate that, hate that" and I now have to carefully rewind it and fast forward past the previews when she is not in the room. I think previews would be better left for older children. However once we got past that she enjoys it and I would recommend it though we still haven't got the hang of useing the potty.

Summary: I got more out of it than I expected! Maybe you will too!
Review: I decided to buy this DVD based on reviews that I read here. I had already purchased a potty chair many months ago which we put into our bathroom but I didn't plan on potty training my daughter (26 months old) at the moment since we just had a new addition to our family and I thought she should get used to the idea of her baby sister (2 months old) before tackling another hurdle. Also, I only put her on her potty twice and I really didn't want to start training her while the baby was still young.

Well, she watched the video about 3 or 4 times. No reaction from her and no pressure from me. No big deal right?

Then one morning, after watching the video she wants to go to the bathroom and sit on her potty. And then a miracle! She actual went poop into her potty! I couldn't believe my eyes!

So, now we're going through the stages of potty training and all because of this video. It's great because it talks about taking time from playing to use the potty and how it's okay to have an accident. What do you have to lose? Buy the video, maybe you'll have a miracle too!

Summary: Good Potty Video - BUT
Review: My only criticism is that I assumed all of the three episodes would be somewhat related to the potty. Not so, only the first epidsode is potty-related. The last two episodes are fun, but no mention of using the potty. Not sure why they are on the Potty Time video.

Summary: Potty Time
Review: My son absolutely loves these videos...buy them all! He's 21 months and has been watching them since he was a yr old. He sings the songs in the car with us and remembers the names of some of the characters. The videos are very educational and very entertaining. I have sat down with my son to watch them and I'll find him laughing as well as myself. A++++

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Although we really like Bear, this video is too advanced...
Review: Our 2 yr old loves Bear, and we like the humor and music. However, we did not find this video to be helpful at all in potty training. The concepts addressed (i.e. knowing that it is okay to stop playing to go to the bathroom) are too advanced for a potty training 2yr. old. It seemed geared toward children who are already potty trained (3 & 4 year olds). It is too wordy and detailed, and the songs are not as good as most Bear songs.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: We Love Bear!
Review: My 17 month old ADORES bear! She got this video for her first birthday, and my 3 year old son swears by it (literally!) "Bear says everyone has accidents!" As with any Bear in the Big Blue House video, this is absolutely wonderful! It's great for kids of all ages, and moms and dads won't loose their minds listening to it over and over and over.....
