Eddie Murphy was such a hoot in this movie, he made it fantastic! This is the best Disney movie since the original Beauty and the Beast....

Review: I saw this film three times and I was always fascinating from it. ...First I thought this film would only be for small kids. But that was not true.I like the romance between Mulan and the soldier very much.But the small lovly grasshopper and Mushu the dragon were also very funny. So I think Mulan is the best Disney film I have ever seen.

Summary: FACINATING TO CHILDREN AND ADULTS ALIKE
Review: MULAN IS A WONDERFULLY EXECUTED TALE OF A YOUNG GIRL WHO TAKES UPON HER SHOULDERS THE BURDEN OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE HONOR OF HER FAMILY. WHEN IT IS DISCOVERED THAT THE HUNS ARE POISED TO ATTACK ANCIENT CHINA, ONE MALE FROM EACH FAMILY IS REQUIRED TO ASSIST IN THE DEFENSE OF THE COUNTRY. MULAN, A FREE SPIRIT WHO DOESN'T EASILY FOLLOW THE FEMALE PATH SET FOR HER, STEALS THE ARMOR OF HER CRIPPLED FATHER, DISGUISES HERSELF AS A MAN, AND TAKES HER FATHER'S PLACE TO SAVE HIS LIFE AND THE FAMILY'S HONOR. IF CAUGHT SHAME WILL BE THE RESULT, IF NOT DEATH TO HERSELF. THE SPIRITS OF HER ANCESTORS WATCH HER AS SHE LEAVES AND SEND ALONG A SOMEWHAT LESS-THAN-FULL-SIZED DRAGON (VOICE OF EDDIE MURPHY) TO HELP HER IN HER QUEST. SHE ENDURES "BOOT CAMP" AND EVENTUALLY PROVES HERSELF A WORTHY SOLDIER. BUT HER GREATEST TEST IS STILL AHEAD AS SHE, AND HER INEXPERIENCED BAND OF SOLDIERS FACE THE HUNS ALONE. MULAN PROVES HERSELF A CLEVER OPONENT TO THE HUNS ONLY TO BE WOUNDED AND REVEALED AS HER TRUE SELF. HOW SHE MANAGES TO REDEEM HERSELF IS THE CLIMAX OF THE STORY. I TOOK MY FOUR YEAR OLD SON TO SEE THIS FILM WHEN IT WAS FIRST RELEASED IN THEATERS. PREVIOUS FORAY'S TO THE MOVIES HAD BEEN SOMEWHAT LESS THAN STELLAR EXPERIENCES. HOWEVER, AT THIS FILM, HE SAT TRANFIXED AT THE STORY BEFORE HIM, AND BARELY MOVED UNTIL THE CLOSING CREDITS APPEARED. I THOUGHT THIS A WONDERFULL MATURING OF MY YOUNG SON, BUT IN TALKING WITH OTHER PARENTS I FOUND THAT THEIR CHILDREN, TOO, BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS, HAD HAD SIMILAR EXPERIENCES. THERE IS DEFINATELY SOMETHING IN THIS FILM THAT CAPTURES NOT ONLY THE ATTENTION, BUT THE IMAGINATION OF CHILDREN, AND I CAN NOT RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY ENOUGH. IT IS A SHAME THAT WE ARE ONLY ALLOWED A MAXIMUM OF FIVE STARS, I COULD EASILY GIVE IT SEVERAL MORE.

Review: This movie was one of the best Disney Movies I have Ever seen.The only the I didnt really enjoy was that there was not enough romance between Shang and Mulan. I mean it just ended, they didnt even kiss a little bit. But I do think they should make a Mulan 2.

Review: This movie is great for the entire family. It's funny, has great music, and a great way for children to learn a little about history. This has to be the best Disney movie of the past several years. Both of my kids, ages 8 and 4 adore it.

Review: At first when my children wanted to watch Mulan I was planning on not watching it. I changed my mind when I heard the great songs, and the voice of Eddie Murphy. All of my kids loved this movie, and so did I. The soundtrack is excellent!
