Summary: One of Disney's Most Hilarious
Review: EMPERORS NEW GROOVE is a great film. David Spade is hilarious as the pint sized ruler who must learn to control his selfishness, and John Goodman does a marvelous job as the big and loveable sidekick.There are so many hysterical gags in this movie (The sequences in the restaurant are priceless) that I literally got red in the face from laughter the first time I saw it. Although not as majestic as HERCULES, LITTLE MERMAID, LION KING, ALADDIN, HUNCHBACK, BEAUTY & BEAST, F2K, or ATLANTIS, it is a hilarious feature that harks back to cartoons of the 1930s and '40s, while at the same time maintaining a very current feel. While EMPERORS NEW GROOVE is very funny, it also contains a very touching and almost tearful message about friendship. The movie will make you laugh. Make you cry. And make you think. But most of all, it will make you feel good.

Summary: It's got groove!
Review: When an emperor with an attitude is turned into a llama by his evil advisor, he must accept the help of a lowly peasant in order to get back to his castle and change back into a human. Along the way, the emperor becomes less selfish and develops a friendship with the peasant. One of the funniest Disney films around, this movie will please people of all ages. Although it uses simple animation (no high-tech stuff here), I find the animation in this movie to be very entertaining. Instead of trying to overload you with pretty pictures, the movie focuses on the storyline and does an excellent job. The movie will keep you laughing by using sarcasm and wit. The movie also delivers an important message of working together with other people. We should all try to get along with each other. This is an excellent movie that everyone should watch.

Summary: Absolutely Laugh Out Loud
Review: My whole family loves this newer edition to the family of Disney. We are constantly quoting the movie and laugh out loud everytime we see it. Believe me the tape is wearing thin! My husband and I have watched it many, many times and still enjoy it. The characters are lovable and the villaness is not only mean (not scary) but hillareous. One of Disney's finest in a long time.

Summary: A lot of fun.
Review: This is a noisy film, but a fun one. I certainly would recommend it over one of Disney's typical cookie-cutter musicals. I just wish it went even further with the zany humor and forgot about trying to be "deep," or give it a "message." People want to laugh, not get preached at on the importance of *a friend*.

Review: The movie itself is fine, but the additional DVD is pretty worthless. First, it takes forever to load on the DVD player, and the material itself is really rather boring. The documentary they made concerning the development of the movie is awfully boring and of low quality. I regret having wasted the addition few bucks buying a "Special Edition" that isn't in fact all that special.

Summary: Funny as anything!
Review: Yes, maybe I am a little too old for Disney. Maybe I shouldn't spend my lunch period quoting the Emperor's New Groove and Monty Python with my friends. But still, I think that everyone who has seen this movie likes it. Little kids like it cos it's funny, older kids (yeah!) like it cos it's funny. Most adults like it cos it's funny. Also, it has a good message and is cute too. It's a great movie for family get-togethers cos little kids think it's a funny movie and love it cos their elders also enjoy it. Okay, maybe your wondering about my sanity. In 7th grade and still collect disney stuff. But this is def. one of my favorite movies (well, there is also a Knights Tale cos the gut is soo hot, but we're speaking strictly cartoons right now)

Review: A coming of age animation that almost makes it. It is entertaining, but far from being a classic. There are some funny lines, and a few plot twists, but mostly it is one the predictable side and a bit contrived. A mild recommendation.

Summary: A great, fun movie
Review: This movie is hilarious. Many of you know that this was supposed to be a big epic and all. But who needs another one of those with the cute cuddly sidekick who has the perfect wisecracks? This film is needed in anyone's collection. It's incredibly funny. David Spade's remarks are incredible and funny. The head shaking of "Uh huh, Uh huh Uh huh Uh huh" make me laugh everytime. And, indeed, it does have some heart in it too. My love for Disney has been rebuilt with this movie. And while you're not laughing at the great one liners and animated slapstick, you'll be noticing the bright, simplistic visuals.
