G.I. Joe: The Movie

Summary: Another priceless piece of 80's nostalgia.
Review: Those who can well recall their endless youthful fascination with G. I. Joe, much as I can, will find much to remember from those good old days of 80's animation in this movie. G.I. Joe was great action oriented entertainment with some patriotic flair for good measure... no doubt, the best part though was the awesome battle scenes, fascinating machines, and cool heroes to cheer and evil bad guys to jeer. This movie captures it all! My only complaint is that, unlike the Transformers movie, G.I. Joe didn't take this opportunity to better adapt itself for the big screen. The new characters seem to be only filling in or supplementing where the old ones left off without the added drama of having to deal with the PERMANENT departure of the old heroes. There's no real 'punch' or sense of transition from generation to generation. Nevertheless, this is still one hell of a movie, so I give it high marks for effort and pulling off a pretty exciting story to match.

Review: Yesss! Back in print, kicking bottom or what! This movie rocks. Oh, and have you noticed that villans with organic weapons are all the rage these days? Babylon 5, Star Wars, Star Trek, the list just keeps growing. I want to know who did it first. Anybody got any clues.

Review: What can I say? This movie is a classic, not only in the animated category, but live action as well. The 'Titanic' blows compared to this baby! I can see, though, a reason why some may hate it. It dwells more into the sci-fi/fantasy realm more than the military, but hey, G.I. Joe was a sci-fi military toy line. In closing: it is one of my favorites.

Review: GI Joe: the Movie is cool and great. In my country, Indonesia there were a lot of cartoon videos. Most of them come from Japan and they had been around for a long time. I must admit GI Joe brought different dimension. The Joes are far more better than Voltus and its generation. I've seen a lot of characters displayed in the movie, from the minor ones to the major ones and the animation is excellent. Yo Joe!

Review: This movie is what growing up in the eighties is all about. After just watching the opening sequence, you will believe that GI Joe IS the real American hero! Just watch as the Joes go against unbeatable odds, and cheer when Sgt. Slaughter gives Cobra a punch for the U.S. of A! Be a true American: BUY THIS MOVIE!

Summary: Should have stuck to original cast for movie
Review: While I did give this movie 5 stars, I was disappointed in the lack of acting by all the voices who helped make this series so incredible, voices for "Shipwreak, LadyJ,Alphine and others from the series were narrowed down to "one liners". And were taken by a hollywood recognized cast who's characters in the series were non existant untill after the movie. ----but who really cares, GI JOE as a full-length. Enough said. I'd be willing to invest in the sequel.

Review: What a piece of garbage. This "movie" takes everything we know about Joe and Cobra and flips it upside down. It also introduces us to some of the lamest new heroes and villians ever introduced in the G.I. Joe universe.

Review: Ok, so I'm 19 and I like watching an animated cartoon. Childish, stupid, even immature, you say? Think what you want, but as far as I'm concerned, G. I . Joe is where it's at. This movie is quality without compromise, folks. This movie is just great action. How can you not like the beginning, the "hook?" How can you not like Sgt. Slaughter and his brigade? How can you not like the Dreadnoks and they're aussie lingo didgeridoo style? Do yourself a favor and stop watching all those teeny beeny bopper movies like "The Trojan War" and "I know what you did In the Bedroom Last Night." G I JOe is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Man, its right up there with Big Trouble in Little China and Shawshank Redemption. Watch it! I pity the fool who don't watch this movie! Yo Joe!

Review: This movie rocks for the beginnning to the end. You have to buy and see this movie. It is full of suprises and best of all Cobra gets it stuck to them again. I would love to tell you more but that would ruin it.
