Summary: Very, very funny telling of the Jericho story.
Review: It's not what you expect and that is what makes this video so effective. The VeggieTales team has another hit on their hands with this clever re-telling of the story of Joshua and the wall of Jericho.

Any "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" fan will particularly enjoy the casting of the French peas atop the wall of Jericho.

This is a superb Christian video for both children and adult children alike. Larry's silly "Cebu" song will stick in your head like glue.

Summary: Jericho
Review: It's time! After 40 years of wandering in the desert, the children of Israel finally get to go to the Promised Land. There's only one big thing (and lots of little things) they've overlooked- a mighty wall... and the really annoying French Peas who guard it! How will the Veggies capture what rightfully belongs to them? Do they know the best way... or does God?

Summary: DVD worth it
Review: Josh and the Big Wall is one of Big Idea's best. The DVD has alot of great extras, from Karoke, to story boards. The commentary is for every adult who loves these shows. Phil and Mike the creators talk about the show and its development. Mike tells where he came up with the Cebu song. They talk about the lighting and how the company grew as the videos got better and better. Phil and Mike also do the voices for Bob and Larry and some of the others. They are worth listening to. I recommend it highly. I'm still looking for the Easter Eggs, if you find them post it.

Summary: One of my favorite Veggie Tales
Review: Josh and the Big Wall is one of my absolute favorite Veggie Tales. The creators made this movie easy to comprehend without watering down the heart of the story. Complex issues are tackled in a very accessible way. The "Silly Song by Larry" about the cebus is one of my favorites. This video is fun for kids and adults alike. I highly recommend it!

Summary: One of the best Veggie Tales!
Review: Junior Asparagus fills in for Larry the Cucumber (who stars as Josh in the story) as co-host with Bob the Tomato. This tale sticks a little more closely with the actual bible story than other Veggie Tales do, although they are sure to remind kids that the slushie bombs are made up! Over all it is great fun to watch and teaches kids to listen to God and live by His rules, even if they don't feel like it sometimes because God knows what is best and He loves them. My one year old daughter loves ALL her Veggie Tales, but the "Song of the Cebu" (Larry's Silly Songs) in this one is her FAVORITE!

Summary: Can't taunt this!
Review: OH MY GOSH. i have always loved these videos... within my college-aged friend base, we have _all_ the shows. ... All i can think of when i see the peas on the wall is that the creators have watched WAY too much monty python. These guys must have so much fun!

There is no way that these films are just for kids. There are so many little things that children would never pick up on. Believe me, these films are a must for your collection. No only will they have you rolling, but they teach amazing values as well.

On a final note, check out Dave and the Giant Pickle some time: about the sheep? "They tip over..." BAAAAAAAaaa!

Summary: Delightful story for all ages
Review: Only one adjective can describe "Josh and the Big Wall" - DELIGHTFUL! This video delighted everyone from my junior in high school to my 5th and 6th grade students. What a wonderful way to get the message that we must follow God's word even though we may not understand why at first.

Summary: What a great way to bring favorite Bible stories to life!
Review: Our whole extended family watched this one and laughed until the very last line! The French Peas are the greatest! My 4 year old daughter requests this video more than any of the others she has! A great piece of entertainment that a parent won't feel the least bit guilty for letting their child watch.

Summary: A Different Josh!!!
Review: So Larry Boy now debuts as Joshua, leading the Children of Israel into the Promised Land, and along the way, he has to march his troops around the walls of Jericho. This is a lot of fun, and it's filled with timely messages of obedience to God, and as far as fundamentalism is concerned - yes, this is fundamental to being a Christian - obeying God. If you read the Scriptures, that truth is repeated time and time again, so the Veggie Tales are being true to what they are - lessons in faith.

This is a terrific Veggie Tale, and when the people of Jericho start throwing ice cream and stuff and the little band that is surrounding them, things get hilarious.

Highly recommended!!!
