Summary: Elmo Says Boo
Review: My 20 month old loves this video. I cannot count the number of times that we have watched it!

The video takes place at The Counts castle, which I was afraid might be a little scary for my son. However, things out of the ordinary are explained by The Count and accepted by Elmo, who was frightened by them at first.

In true Sesame Street fashion numbers 1-15 are presented as well. There is also a good mix of jokes, which my son will like as he gets older, with songs that he enjoys right now.

Summary: Best Elmo Video! A must-have!
Review: My 8 month old daughter has loved this video ever since she was 3 months old! This video is not only well made with the best sesame street songs, but has turned her into an Elmo fanatic. This video and Baby Mozart and Baby Bach are still the only 3 videos that can keep her attention for the whole half hour. A must have for any baby!

Summary: Enjoyable to watch, but a parent needed to help.....
Review: My Daughter - now 2- is an Elmo fanatic. And while she was quite excited to see the new video, it has taken 3 viewings With Mommy close by to feel comfortable with this video.

Between the friendly ghosts, the rattling skeleton and the spooky organ, she was quite unsure - especially when she saw Elmo jump or cry out with fright. She was also very skittish through the Ernie and Bert in Egypt skit - with the "Ernie" statue that moved.

That is not to say that she now does not love this video - I just want to caution parents that they may need to be close by to do some explaining and reassuring as it can be a bit spooky. Unlike one like the "Best of Elmo", I think this one needs a big lap to snuggle into to enjoy!

Summary: Wonderful for lovers of Elmo and The Count!
Review: My daughter has been watching this video since she was about 9 months old. She absolutely LOVES it! She loves to say "Boo!" at the beginning when the narrator read the title and she giggles like crazy after she says it. The video is a great balance among muppet/kid sections, songs and muppet skits. My daughter has never been scared of it, maybe because she started watching it early on. If you, as a parent, like Halloween, then this is a great video to share with your child.

Summary: Get Ready for Halloween!
Review: My daughter is 11 months and about the only things she watches are Elmo and Barney (and we don't let her watch a lot of either because we want her to do other things while we still have some input). Her favorite tapes/dvds are The Best of Elmo, Elmo Says Boo, and Kids Favorite Songs II in the Sesame Street/Elmo series. She gets bored with Elmo's World series as it gets a little too serious for her and she seems to get bored. This tape is great and she doesn't seem to get scared at all. Maybe that will come later, but I don't see how a kid could really get scared at this tape. It's a stitch to me, but I'm not 2 either.

Summary: BOO!
Review: My son loves this video, especially all the musical segments. We recognized the "Bat Song" from the millenium edition but he doesn't care. He likes pointing out the owls and bats. It's after halloween and he still pulls that video out first!!

Summary: Seasonal fun, and a favorite!
Review: Our daughter, at 7 months, is already addicted to Elmo (so much for "no TV before age 2"), and has a big attention span when it comes to his videos. She really enjoys this one--more than just "Elmo's World" but less than her favorite, the "Elmo in Grouchland Sing and Play" video.

The video's plot is simple--Elmo has come to the Count's castle for a visit, and to trade "spooky" jokes. Everyone in the castle takes part--a skeleton, a pipe organ, the bats. In the usual format, song clips and sketches are introduced. They include the Count singing the "Batty Bat" (that's a favorite) and the Ernie and Bert in Egypt sketch.

Funny, I never even stopped to consider whether or not it was too scary! Our daughter wasn't frightened at all. Other reviewers are saying that their toddlers are a bit scared by this one, so maybe next year (we're putting it away 'til next Halloween) we'll get different results!
