Summary: Re-mastered, but not restored!
Review: The case boasts of the shows being re-mastered, but there are streaks in the backgrounds from negative fading.
These are the later 1980's Depatie-Freling TV specials, not the classic Chuck Jones cartoons. (The Jones toons are issued by Warner Brothers). They have their creative moments, but much of the time they feel like cheap imitations of Dr. Seuss.
The Hoober-Bloob Highway is the superior of the two shorts.

Why only two 22 minute shorts? Universal could have gotten all four of their Dr. Seuss DVD releases on one DVD!

Summary: Nice Change
Review: Unlike the "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" and "Grinch Night," this production has the grinch living in a house, owning a car, and not near Whoville. He still has his dog Max but again receives slight changes to his voice and appearance. While the first story has him disguising himself as Santa Clause and the second one has him using two forms of magic, this story involves him inventing two diabolical machines. Of course he also lives not too far away from the cat in the hat.

The grinch first appears to be unusually nice but is later reminded to retain his mean grinch ways by his reflection. The cat in the hat experiences trouble from him after the two characters meet. As a result of continual trouble from the grinch's machines he (the cat in the hat) seeks out try and find a way to change the grinch. However, the grinch causes him to crash his car on the way and end up inside a restaurant in a town where the trouble is also brought upon everyone there as well. This is a must-see production.

Unfortunatle, I have not presently seen "The Hoober-Bloob Highway" and, therefore, can not give any details.

Summary: Continuation
Review: What I am writing is a continuation of my last review. I actually have seen The Hoober-Bloob Highway" and just did not take in the name of this cartoon while seeing it on television. I am giving it four stars up since I did not find it quite as enjoyable as "The Grinch Grinches The Cat In The Hat." Anyway, the cartoon deals a man in space who has taken the place of stalks (that myhtical baby delivery method) so he can help them make decisions about how to begin and live through their earthly lives before sending them down there along his hoober-bloob highway. However, you will only see him dealing with one particular baby whom he tries to advise with a great deal of trouble while showing it some films of what might occur on earth. He even ends up giving the baby boy the option of not going down to earth. The production is not necessarily adventurous since it involves decision-making rather than physical struggles.
