Summary: Great! But only ONE "Halloween" episode!
Review: My family loves Halloween and especially Halloween specials. So we pre-ordered this one. It's a great DVD packed with 10 great episodes -- some are aboslutely hilarious. But buyers should note that there's only one truly Halloween-themed episode. The other 4 are loosely "spooky-themed" (i.e. monsters, robots, etc.). True, it's labeled as "Spooky Sea Tales" but the huge Halloween type and pumpkin image can be misleading. Nonethless, is this DVD worth it? YES. The extra 5 episodes make it even more of a value. Should you buy it? YES! Is it funny? YES!! This is SpongeBob at his best! Enough reading. Go buy and enjoy.

Review: ok im really excited about this and everything but come on. 5 episodes on a dvd is nothing especially when they're 11-12 minuets each. Spongebob is a great show and is one of my favorites, but they can put 10-15 episodes on it easily. I really dont care if its a little bit more expensive...anyway, I will buy this dvd regardless of how many episodes it has although if they continue this.....

Review: Spongebob returns to DVD/VHS with the new Halloween installment! This DVD has much less bonus material, but the episodes are better. There are 5 episodes on the VHS, and 10 on DVD. The DVD, however, has 5 Halloween and 5 regular. DVD LIST

I was a Teenage Gary These episodes are not the least bit scary, just halloween themed. They are appropriate for ages 0-132, and have no violence. Thus a great VHS/DVD!

Summary: My kids LOVED this DVD!
Review: Spongebob Squarepants is one of those rare shows (like Samurai Jack and Powerpuff Girls) that's as entertaining for me as it is for the kids. This DVD has become a favorite among the members of our family, and it has been a staple for car trips (we highly recommend those Toshiba TV/DVD sets for the car!).

Review: The 3 stars are only for episode content alone. The rest of the dvd doesn't rate.
This particular dvd release seems hastily slapped together just to cash in on the SpongeBob craze sweeping the nation. The "extras" are little more than an advertisement for a video game(!), a slapdash music video for "SpongeBob ScaredyPants" and a set of Credits (would you consider Credits to be an extra??).
I'm pleased with the episode selection, but really wanted more. I guess I shouldn't compare it to the last dvd release (chok full of goodies galore!!).

Review: The first 5 episodes are great for Halloween! One of my favorite episodes on this DVD are, "Squidward the Unfriendly Ghost" and "Frankendoodle", which wasn't very spooky to me. This DVD also contains the episode, "My Pretty Seahorse."

Summary: I just adore Spongebob
Review: There are several people here who give decent synopsises of the episodes so I'll just list my favorites on this DVD collection.
Band Geeks. Possibly my favorite episode of the show. In trying to beat his long time rival, Squilliam Fancysun, Squid gets together a band. Good one liners like "Drum up a marching band fast", "an oboe from an elbow" and others add to the charm. In the end, as Squid is about to jump off a bridge, the band comes through much to the dismay of Squilliam. Squilliam is a very successful rich guy and Squid is just a cashier at the Krust Krab. Fights occur during rehersal. In the end how does it go? I'm not giving it away.
Squidward the Unfriendly Ghost. Squidwardmakes a wax copy of himself and it melts in the prescence of Spongebob and Patrick, and they think they've killed him. The even make a gravestone, and everything. Gotta love it.
Idiot Box. Spongebob and Patrick get a large screen TV for the box, and Squid takes the TV, excitedly. Spongebob and Patrick enjoy the box with all kind of noise coming out of it. Traffic, avalanches, and everything. This, or course, drives Squid nuts. He finally gets into the box.....
The one liners, sight gags, and parodies are a mile a minute. This is a wonderful cartoon, though I'm not sure a lot of kids will get some of the jokes.

Review: this dvd is all time! i know nuatical nonsense was cool,but it just gets better! the 5 halloween episodes are "scaredey pants" when spongebob acts as the flying dutcman, in "i was a teenage gary" spongebob turns into a snailcat,"imatation crabs" when plankton makes a robo crabs,when spongebob and pat think they kill squid in "squidward the unfriendly ghoust" they do his every command,and in the episode "frankendoodle" spongebob creates a monster and it tries to destroy the city.and the 5 bonus episodes are "band geeks", "idiot box", the secret box","welcome to the chum bucket" and "my pretty seahorse"

Just push play all episodes and lauph for 110 minutes. My aunt,
shes like 40 and this is her favorite cartoon! GET THIS ONE
