Summary: Digi-fun
Review: This is the first exposure I've had to Digimon, and I can rightfully say... I was entertained. Albeit, the show was confusing because I had NO IDEA what was going on (having never watched the show), and it felt almost like three different stories in one, which kind of chopped up the fluidity of the movie. However, the movie features fun characters, monsters, battles, and a good sense of humor. Most importantly, it wasn't that annoying. Fans of the TV series will feel right at home. Fans of Pokémon may want to watch it, also, as it's a refreshing take on the "monster collection" craze. For everyone else, it's not a bad cartoon... if you like cartoons.

Summary: excellent!
Review: I loved digimon from day one (summer 1999). the humor is alot better than pokemon's and most of the jokes will have adults laughing. I loved the action in this movie.

Summary: A little bit disappointing...
Review: While this movie had its merits, it was overall disappointing.
What the dubbers did was combine three completely unrelated thirty-minute movies into one long, drawn-out movie with a strange sense of pacing, and a confusing plot that will make even the biggest Digi fan's head spin.
That said, I did really enjoy Chocomon and Gummimom's story, it was quite creepy. The fight scene was pretty cool, though I think that the animators don't really utilize very interesting camera angles or vary the perspective, which makes the animation seem a little boring.
Oh, and one more thing that I thought was really quite unneccesary was the "Angela Anaconda" short at the beginning- very bizarre, and most unfunny.

Summary: A three part movie with a LOT of action.
Review: Like I said before, this movie has three parts. It's kind of different then the Pokemon movies, which have only two parts[ the movie and the mini movie]. This movie includes:
A part when Kari and Tai first met Agumon and when there was a first major oppenent VS oppenent fight involving digimon.
Another part where the digidestined have to stop a digimon from halting worldwide communication forever.
And in the last part, the new digidestined want to help their friend to make a nice digimon become good again. I think all Digimon fans would like this movie and at least give it try once.

Summary: Just when you thought it was safe to use the internet...
Review: As many before have said about Digimon: The Movie, this actually consists of the first 3 Digimon movies. The first part is a look into the past of Taichi and Hikari(Or Tai and Kari), while the second part is about an older Taichi and Co. trying to stop Diablomon(or Diaboromon) from nuking Japan using the Pentagon's defense systems. There's a third segment, which is the most chopped up out of all the movies in this 'Movie'. Apparantly there's a big thing about Endigomon(whom they call 'Kokomon' for some reason) kidnapping the original Chosen Children(or Digidestined) being cut out, making the 3rd part the most incoherent parts of this 'movie'. You never really get a sense of WHY he's trying to attack the kids.

Although my favorite movie in this was the second movie, where the kids' Digimon fight on the internet. The inside of the 'Internet' is very imaginative, in my opinion. Plus, they made some good use of the internet's many features, like e-mail, in the Digimon's struggle against Diablomon. How they actually stop him is very inventive indeed. If you haven't seen this film yet, you should at least see the second movie in this 'compilation' if you're even remotely interested in Digimon.

Summary: A movie I couldn't stop watching!!!
Review: The first time I watched Digimon The Movie I LOVED it!!! Yea the drawings are a little bad but that really didn't count for much of the things. Nothing is wrong about this movie. It can be a little boyish but they still have kari, mimi, and yolie in it. So it doesn't make THAT boyish. In all I would buy it if I was you.

Summary: The TV show was better
Review: When I first watched Digimon on TV, I thought it was a rip-off of Pokemon, but I was mistaken. Digimon and Pokemon has the same point: Kids find little monsters with special powers. But unlike Pokemon, Digimon can actually talk!
When I saw the movie, I didn't much care for the animation (and yes, its different than the TV show). The movie only makes sense if you have watched the TV show. If you haven't seen the show, the movie explains mostly everything you need to know. I would recommended anyone to watch the TV show before they see the movie however, beause the TV show was so much better.

Summary: 10x better than the TV show
Review: Frankly, the TV show gets annoying. But I rented this movie just to check it out and let me tell you I was not disappointed. The movie is much better than the TV show in every way! The effects are cool (I wish the movie was in widescreen so we wouldn't have to sit through poorly mastered fullscreen transfers) and the multiple storyline will keep you interested for more than 90 minutes! The soundtrack is really good too, mostly filled with pop punk rock (unlike Pokemon, which got stuck with the pop soundtrack) and ska. If you just want to see a good kids anime movie, check this out. People should watch it with no expectations. Just watch it and enjoy it. Get the DVD though because DVD is just cooler!

Summary: A good addition to an excellent show
Review: I prefer the second season of the series, and that is really only because of two characters that unfortunately don't show up in this. But despite that, it is still a wonderful movie. The animation is very different from any of the four series, which can take a bit of getting used to. But it ends up looking pretty good after a short while. The songs are not ones I would have chosen, but I generally let that fade into the background. Gatomon and Terriermon are cool!

Of course, having been made from several OAVs that were chopped up and spliced together (two of the OAVs are missing entirely) there are bound to be plot holes. The company did the best they could to cover up those holes, but is would have been much better if they had released them all as OAVs, like they were originally meant to be seen. As I understand it, their reason for mutilating these OAVs was that some of the characters (namely Ken) had not been introduced yet. Let me rephrase that--he had been introduced, but season 2 had not ended in America at that point and they didn't want to give away any spoilers.

All that aside, it is still a good show and I still think you should watch it. And maybe one day the OAVs will be released into the American market and we'll have a chance to see this as it was supposed to have been seen, as well as the missing pair of OAVs.
