Summary: nostalgic fun...
Review: it's short and there isn't much to it, but the nostalgia factor alone makes it a five-star. What's not to love? - the World War One Flying Ace seeks to outwit the Red Baron, Lucy as a witch (no irony there), a bagfull of rocks for Charlie Brown, and another Great Pumkinless Hallowe'en for Linus...

Summary: THE best Halloween movie ever made!
Review: There are Christmas movies all over the place. But try to find a good Halloween movie. Oh yes, you found this one. All your favorite Charles Schultz characters are in this film and they are just as you remember them. You have quit a few surprises in store.

Just anticipating the Great Pumpkin is worth the price. You will want to watch it each year.

Summary: Wonderful Halloween Cartoon!! =)
Review: This Peanuts gang movie is really funny. The way the plot is set up, the comic action during the part whrer Snoopy is in his plane, using his arms for missles. He's so...dignified and an officer that you can't resist.

Also, Linus and the Great Pumpkin is really funny, because of all his talking, waiting, and so on. You just can't miss this movie!

Summary: THE best Halloween cartoon ever made!
Review: "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" is a classic that never grows old! Charlie Brown, Sally, Lucy, Linus, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang gear up for another Halloween full of adventure and "tricks or treats." Oh, lets not forget the infamous football kick. As "tricks or treats" go, Lucy, Violet, & Pigpen rack up and of course, poor 'ole Charles gets nothing but a bag of rocks. Sally, consumed by her love for Linus, decides to skip "tricks or treats" and sit out in the punkin' patch w/ him to catch a glimpse of the Great Pumpkin. Snoopy, a World War 1 flying ace out on his dawn patrol, ensues the Red Barron to shoot him down. After the trick or treating, it's time for the Halloween party. In the end, Sally is furious and Linus is left in disbelief as another Halloween passes by without a visit from the GP. Lucy awakes in the wee hours of the morning to find her "blockhead brother" shivering and asleep in the patch. As any big sister would do, she brings Linus in and puts him to bed.

This 1966 Charles Shultz phenomenon is so enjoyable, I can't hardly wait for Fall each year so I can pull it out. My brother and I grew up watching this every year. Call me a grown-up kid, but it gives me such a warm, cozy feeling inside. Brings back those cherished memories of being a child and the excitment that Halloween always brought. I can't wait until my nephew is old enough to discover "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown." Another wonderful joy is the music of Vince Guaradli. As with all the Peanuts cartoons, he composed and performed all of the musical scores. The world of jazz is opened to all who listen and watch. "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" is one of those simple little joys in life, as are "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" and "A Charlie Brown Christmas." If you don't own them, get them. I don't know how anyone could be disappointed! I just love it!

Summary: A Classic - Sally and Linus Sittin' In A Pumpkin Patch ...
Review: "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" is indeed a Charile Brown classic for all ages, child and adult alike. I never tire of watching it every Halloween, and have for over twenty years.

Charlie Brown prepares to go trick-or-treating, dressed as a ghost with many, many eye holes - classic Charlie Brown. Linus, for weeks has been drumming up his belief that the Great Pumpkin will arrive this Halloween and give out treats and presents to all good boys and girls - a take off, of sorts, of Santa Claus.

The only one who believes him, and ultimately sits the whole night with Linus, is Sally, his adoring sweetheart.

While the Peanuts gang go off trick-or-treating, (all Charlie Brown gets are rocks), Linus and Sally wait ... and wait ... and wait ...

Snoppy has his own adventure; dressed as a WW1 flying ace, he dreams of having it out with the infamous Red Baron. A wonderful scene, which has him being shot down over France, and trying desperately to make his way home.

In the meantime, Linus and Sally are still waiting for the Great Pumpkin. As it becomes later at night, Sally begins to speculate. Still, her devotion to Linus keeps her at his side. And yet, it gets later and later until the Peanuts Gang return with bags filled with all sorts of goodies. Sally drools over the treats, soon becoming angry with Linus, and herself, that she sat all night in this pumpkin patch for nothing. She finally stands and has it out with poor Linus, and leaves, disgusted with herself.

Linus continues to wait for the Great Pumpkin, fearful he has done something to offend him, and thinking this is why he has not shown up.

"It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" is one of the great Charlie Brown classics that has endured nearly forty years, and will continue to endure for years to come, entertaining many future generations of children - and their parents.

You'll enjoy this terrific outing very much! It's just not Halloween without this endearingly funny cartoon! Fun for the whole family! You don't have to be a kid to enjoy this, just a kid at heart!

Review: I liked a lot this cartoon. Charlie Brown gets rocks on ''trick or treating'' instead of candy. Sally is willing to stay with Linus at the pumpkin patch , waiting for the fantastic great pumpkin to arrive. Lucy gets angry like always. You should watch this video especially if you are a kid. Excellent along with ''A charlie brown christmas''.
