Summary: When Heroes Unite
Review: The creative team behind the Emmy-winning "Batman: The Animated Series", have updated the greatest comicbook superhero team with a new look that does the League justice. When a poweful alien invasion threatens Earth, J'Onn J'Onzz, the sole survivor of ancient Martian race, enlists the aid of Earth's mightiest heroes to save the planet. "Secret Origins" is the three-part pilot of the hit animated series on Cartoon Network. The movie captures the spirit of the comicbook and introduces the characters quite well. The story is simple and fast-paced but some aspects could have been developed further. It also contains some good elements of action, humor and dialogue. The characters' unique personalities and interactions are among it's true strengths. The animation is bright, clean and often an improvement over previous animated series. Justice League DVD will not win any DVD awards for its presentation. It lacks any interesting extras and the menus are colorful but dull. The picture quality is crisp and clear, and the sound is satisfactory. Overall, I give this DVD a "B-".

Summary: Justice League Rocks!
Review: I have been eagerly waiting to receive my copy of this DVD for months! I have been a great fan of the Justice League of America comics for over two decades and news of a new Cartoon Network series based on the Justice League certainly had me salivating. The pilot more than lived up to my expectations. The plot was not entirely original (invading tripods from Mars, anyone?) but it was riveting nevertheless. In 60 minutes, you get a pretty clear idea of the characterisation of each of the seven superheroes making up this version of the Justice League. Having always been a great Wonder Woman fan, I was surprised to discover the my favorite character in the pilot was not her, but Hawkgirl. She certainly wields that mace to great effect! She reminds me of Big Barda with a mace instead of Barda's power rod. I would have liked the series to use the REAL big seven - Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Flash, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter - but I can understand the need for diversity by putting in one other female character and an African American one as well. Will we ever get to see an Asian superhero? Kimiyo (Dr. Light) would be a good choice. All in all, a very good romp indeed. I would recommend it to anyone who loves DC comics.

Summary: Great, Where's the Boxed Set?
Review: Justice League is the most faithful adaption to comic book characters ever aired on television. It's fun, without being kiddie,an engaging without any hint of campiness. There is an open respect from the creators for the characters and for the intelligence of the audience. This origin episode was a must have, but I have to confess that I have not purchased the other two because I am anxious for a boxed set of the entire seasons 1-2. The price of $16.00 for four episodes is a bit steep when considering what comparable boxed set would cost. C'mon, Warner Brothers, get on the stick! Collect this fantastic series as it wass meant to be.

Summary: When One Hero Is Not Enough
Review: The latest incarnation of the Justice League animated series, does away with most of the conventions of the 70s program called Superfriends (ah, those childhood memories), and offers much more than you might think. The show steers clear of the grittiness of Batman, Batman Beyond, and other modern animation series, in favor of more kid-friendly fare. While at the same time the show has some fine animation and offers a more diverse team of heroes. The characters have better interactions with one another and they are multi demensional as well. In doing the show this way, the creators have made a series that both adults AND kids can enjoy together Justice League is a truly rare in that way and it's all the better for it. As the series has progressed, the stories have also allowed for a revolving door of charaters at times, in order for the series to remain fresh. As for the DVD, I have to say, I was kind of disappointed. The disc features the 60 minute premiere adventure of the series. Martian Manhunter comes to the planet Earth, to warn a few of the other superheroes of the DC Comics Universe, about an impending alien invasion. After he visits with Superman and Batman about the threat, the three heroes determine that they need more help to protect our planet. They enlist Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern-the John Stewart incarnation, and Hawkgirl, to help fight the coming armada. I thought the story and animation were very well conceived. I had no problems at all with any of that. But I do wish more episodes made it onto this first DVD Releasing just one storyline (or two) per disc makes little to know sense Since the trend is likely to continue, I doubt I will buy anymore, unless the powers that be decide otherwise. As for the extras, they lack any real substance, for any regular viewer of series. Character bios, creative team information, previews of a few family DVDs, and a web link is all you get. It would have been cool to have had a commentary track from the production staff and or voice talent. for the adult audience to enjoy.

Summary: Justice League is great! But I want entire seasons now!
Review: In the first season (which began with this extra long pilot episode), the animation quality and characterizations were really good, and, although some episodes weren't fantastic, the stories were pretty good for the most part. But the show has been AMAZING in the second season! Almost every episode has had stunning "WOW!" moments. Hurry up, Warner Bros, and release the rest of the first season! Better yet, just release entire seasons, especially season two! Widescreen! NOW!!!

Review: I don't know what some of these people are thinking when they give this movie a bad review. And the person who commented on the costumes? Aquaman isn't in the new Justice League- if you're going to review a movie, at least watch a little of it.
This movie was perfect for the kind of people who are going to watch it, and maybe even perfect for the people who happen to catch it on TV some night when they're surfing channels. If the DVD doesn't have a lot of extras, so what? The movie makes up for it.
It's a perfect introduction for the show, which really hooks you with it's cliphangers, comedy, and great animation. Bravo to Bruce Timm and the rest of the people behind the show.
The only thing that I may have added to it, although it wasn't totally necessary, is where Flash, Green Lantern, and Hawkgirl came from- for the newer fans. Otherwise, the movie has great scenes, perfect dialogue and a fine storyline. Plus, it's pretty much appropriate for all audiences.
I definitely recommend this movie. The time spent working on it was well spent.

Review: When I was a kid and I watched Superman cartoons or Superman the movies ( by Christopher Reeve ), I always dream to be the man of steel. I even bought the soundtrack and listen to the main title theme of Superman... what's that go to do with this review? It means that I always wanted to be the man of steel when I was young but now... I wanna collect all the Justice league DVDs! Justice League is so cool and wow!!!!!

Review: The DVD was all right,even the Snap Case was helpful.I bought this DVD which costes P450.It's cool,but there should be a bons features like an episode,a game,DVD-Romk and some of the good special features.I like this DVD or ep because now I understand why the Justice League combined and how the end of us would be like when parasites rule the earth.

Summary: Justice? Justice? You can't HANDLE the Justice League!
Review: Bruce Timm and his team have put together another great series in the vein of the Batman and Superman animated series. If you liked either of those shows, I suspect you'll really like this show as well. The three segments here (originally broadcast as a 90 minute special on the Cartoon Network) are needed to cover the "origins" stories of the League and to give any kind of detail at all to the number of characters the story focuses on. The voice characterizations are excellent, and the animation is sharp, and I think the storytelling is well done. Yes, the plot suffers some dilution due to the number of characters they have to cover, but nevertheless, this is an enjoyable story.
The DVD is fairly standard stuff, without anything special in the way of extras, which is disappointing but not terribly surprising. Warner always needs a kick in the pants to give their animated products the support they deserve, and they haven't gotten it yet. It is nice to have it without commercials and it is reasonably priced. I recommend this DVD.

Summary: Old superheroes never die ...why fade them away?
Review: Is it me or do these revamped superfriends looked a lot better in their recent animated series than they do here in JUSTICE LEAGUE? I mean, Superman's new costume has all its reds and yellows in a horrible whiter shade of pale, Batman now wears heels (why -is Wonder Woman taller than him?), Aquaman looks like a biker and the Martian Manhunter, well, he was never very interesting to begin with. Hawkgirl and the black Green Lantern look fine but they seem forced, like token minority superheroes. On top of it all, the stories, backgrounds and villains are dull and predictable; second-best at the most. Too bad, and certainly not what was expected from Bruce Timm, Paul Dini and their great animation studio. I dunno; it appears their new productions have run out of steam (or money). If so, go pester the people at Warner! Have them take another look at BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM and get inspired again, not just milk the supercow!!!
