Summary: Too scary
Review: Guys, I'm only a 9 year old girl but I think you should listen to me. I don't think that little kids and not just little kids; I was 8 when I saw this, shouldn't watch this. It's way too scary. I saw this at my friends house and I was VERY happy she suggested we go down for a snack. Don't let your kids watch this. It's too scary.

Summary: A little too dark....
Review: I was really dissapointed with this video. Too dark and moody - lacked the "good feeling" that you got when you watched The Lion King. Animation wasn't nearly as good as The Lion King - thought it was too dark and scary for my toddler and her cousins.

Summary: Matches the original, which is no mean feat!
Review: This sequel to the 1994 original, despite a somewhat lower budget than the original, still has to be one of Disney's best! Featuring some somewhat more interesting new characters, as well as several returns from the original, this one should be seen even if you are not a fan of children's films (and I'm 14). My only complaints are that far more could have been done with the character of Kovu (who ends up as Simba's son-in-law), Nala (remember her from the original?) needed more screen time, and they cast some other guy as Zazu (I'm sure you remember him from the original) rather than recasting Rowan Atkinson. But don't let all this put you off it. If you haven't seen, see it.

Summary: Don't buy it
Review: This movie was horrible compared to Lion King I. It felt like deja vu with a lot of the scenes in the beginning and I couldn't force myself to sit through the whole thing. Stick with the original.

Summary: BETTER THAN LION KING 1
Review: This is far better than 'Lion King 1'. I enjoyed this much, much better than the first one. Kiara, Simba's daughter makes a much better heroine than Simba did as a hero....he love relationship with Kovu, the vailliness;s son teaches everyone a good lesson...the ending was much better than Lion King 1....and even the vialliness, Zara makes a much better bad 'guy; tahn Scar did....Much more 'ruthless' I should say..... Even teh songs were BRILLIANT and so were everything else. You simpyl must buy this, if your a fan of animated Disney films. The animation was simply FANATASTIC!

Review: I think that it wasn't as good as the first one

Summary: I highly enjoyed this video.
Review: The Lion King II: Simba's Pride was excellent. It was just what it should be. This movie is a masterpiece. The songs were beautiful and my favorite was "Upendi". I have always been a fan of The Lion King. Ever since the original came out. The video is a few minutes shorter than the original, but that doesn't take away from the beauty of the movie. There were a few scenes that didn't quite have what the original had, but I still give this movie five stars.

Summary: You get from it what you take from it
Review: The Lion King II, I will admit, doesn't have alot of what the origianal had. There is no emotional scene like where Mufasa dies (that scene will still choke me up) or the stunning background music from the origional. However, there is alot you can take from this movie, if you only take the time to look. TKL was about responsibility. Everyone can see that. The sequal is about love, but more than that, it's about hate and letting go. It's about deciding to do what your heart tells you, not what your supposed to do. The scene with the song "One of Us" is one of the most powerful i have ever felt. I know how it feels to be accepted by a group and then be sudenly thrown out. Imagine how Kovu feels at that time. Now he has no family, no friends. He is completely alone, at least for a while. I usually have to pause after this scene, because I feel so angry toward Simba for doing that to Kovu i practically miss the song "Love will Find a Way." Overall, if you take Simba's Pride at face value alone, you will only get out of it what most children who only look that deep get out of it. If you look deeper into the emotions of the characters, it becomes an emensly heart-wrenching movie.

Summary: One for the Bargain Bin
Review: I loved The Lion King so of course I had to get this. I knew it wouldn't be as good, but watching it, it turned out to be a lot worse than I imagined... the songs were TERRIBLE, and the storyline was UNORIGINAL...why did Disney bother?? I wouldn't reccommend this, even if The Lion King is your fave movie.
