Review: Babe is back, but I mean, who expected this? I certainly didn't expect a sequel from a film like "Babe" because the first one was so crap, but this one makes up for it. It is alot better.This time Babe has gone and lost himself in the big city, and he meets monkeys in pyjamas, dogs in the water and singing pigs! This film is pretty silly but enjoyable all the same. I wouldn't recommend you buy it, but if your bored like I am, rent it from your video store for a laugh.

Review: Babe: Pig in the City is one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen. It was strange, and creepy, and not like the first Babe at all. Being a fan of its predecessor, I thought I would like this one, but it was very disappointing. A couple gross parts with Mrs. Hoggett, some with the animals and neighbors. Yuck. I give it 2 stars because there were a couple (and ONLY a couple) funny parts. But don't watch this movie unless you want a letdown!

Review: It is every difficult for a sequel to be better than the first one. I did not eager to see this picture in theater because I thought all the sequels will be bad. Well, I was wrong and regret that I did not see it on a big screen. However, the VHS picture quality is verygood. Very colorful and beautiful setup. Animal talking technique is more perfect and it is really more funny that the first one.

Review: ...Babe has still maintained its charming character (brave,benevolent and hopelessly friendly).My five year old really fall inlove with Babe. The story just grew more complicated since it happened in the city and you see more characters(human as well as animals)as the story developed. The movie is so full of actions and humours. My daughter laughed so hard at several scenes and she watched it several times a week and each time she discoverd something new and wonderful in this story. The movie was done in a stunning cinematic way, for the young audience it may be take some time to completely sunk in the story, but its gentle message should not be missed by anyone. There are a few scenes maybe a little frightening for kids below 8, but overall it is very entertaining. It is definitely worth seeing both for the adults and for the children. Watch it, it gets better everytime. END

Summary: A dark masterpiece.
Review: This movie took me by suprise, but what a great suprise... One of the darkest films I've seen in some time, almost along the lines of the Shawshank Redemption, being that the situation around Babe continually degrades until the end. The film has such a wonderful style to it. It probably has two of the coolest scenes ever made in a film, the first being the scene with Thelonius standing in the stainglass window after Fugly is taken away, and the other bring when the Doberman walks from the darkness, making his little speech, it might as well been Pacino walking out in the Godfather. Amazing. This is not a film for kids, and really should've been aimed at adults, I can imagine this gave quite a few kids nightmares. But, this film should not be missed, it's a journey into perfection.

Review: It seems to me that the viewers of this video either loved itor hated it. Add me to the hated it side. As said many times, if ithadn't been connected to the original "Babe" perhaps my expectations would have been different. Had I been primed for an "artsy" film, perhaps I would have felt differently. Probably not though.

Review: I am very disappointed by the number of negative reviews that this film got. The comments that people make regarding this film are mostly irrelevant. TRUE, this is not a film for most very young children, but it is still excellent... It's ironic that someone should call this Hollywood cashing in when it really isn't like the first one. That it isn't the same as the first is not a valid criticism. It is cinematically brilliant: The visuals are simply amazing. The script is good too. I watched this with a reluctant friend, but he agreed that it was great.

Review: A fascinating movie: the strange Gothic atmosphere, the hipster chimpanzee ("no-ness, sweetness "), his wife, the erudite organgutan ("They'll bring all manner of trouble"), the tough-guy pit bull ("Thank the pig!), the doberman ("you must have a weak grip on reality to come in here"), the hotel owner (human) where every statement is a question, etc. the panoply of strange characters just goes on and on. This is one of the most original movies I've ever seen. My kids (ages 7 and 10) liked it, and so did my wife and I (middle-aged). The kids were scared a couple of times - but isn't that part of the fun?. Get the DVD - you'll want to watch some scenes over and over again.

Summary: an art film
Review: Of all the delightful charms of this film, Leonard Maltin picked out the "three singing mice" as a highlight! The visual splendor alone ranks up there with "CITY OF LOST CHILDREN", but besides that, it explores morality effectively without being preachy. My favorite kind of art is beautiful to the eye and stirs me emotionally, and thank you George Miller, PIG IN THE CITY is all that.
