Summary: Now They've Done It
Review: My wife and I have no children and are not beguiled by movies in general, so it is big news when ANY new movie gets our attention -- most especially an animation. So we were unmoved by Toy Story and the genre it spawned of big-budget digital animations. This one is different. With an eerily lit backdrop of icy landscapes and a story borrowed from the classic western The Three Godfathers, this film treats the viewer to some of the most watchable animation this reviewer has ever seen -- especially facial expressions, which are wonderfully done. The lead characters, voiced by comics Ray Romano (as Manfred, a laconic, anti-social Wooly Mammoth), John Leguizamo (as Sid, an annoying, lisping Sloth) and Denis Leary (outstanding as Diego, a duplicitous Sabre-toothed Tiger) bond into a herd while attempting to return a human baby to it's Cro-Magnon tribe. On the serious side, this film deals directly with the different sides of the predator-prey relationship between humans and animals (most touching is the brilliantly animated scene in which cave paintings remind Manfred of how his own family was devastated by hunters); on the funny side -- well, it's hilariously funny from start to finish -- witty dialog, fast slapstick, and the running joke of a non-speaking pre-historic squirrel Scrat(who fights all the forces of Nature to hang onto his prized acorn) was so strong I suspect a sequel. Fresh, fun and evoking a wide range of emotions, this is a truly satisfying "feel-good" film that adults will thoroughly enjoy and kids will want to see over and over. Get the DVD; the extra shorts and background material are well worth an extra few bucks.

Summary: I'd give it a million stars if I could!!
Review: Ice Age is the best movie I have ever seen! And I thought Lilo and Stitch was great? I watch this movie almost every day and I've memorized lines. Example? ok.

Dodo Part
Manny: Would you make it stop I can't take it anymore!
Diego: I've eaten things that didn't complain this much!
Sid: He won't stop squirming!
Diego: You're holding it wrong!
Manny: Watch his head!
Diego: Just put it down!!

Am I good?I'm not gonna do more because I'm supposed to be reviewing this and not doing roleplay.

Anyway, it's about a mammoth named Manny whose a melioncholy, a sloth named Sid who thinks he's the smoothest guy around, and Diego a Saber-Toothed Cat that tricks them into giving him the baby who is from an Indian Settlement. And then there's Scrat, who's not featured in this movie mouch but he just can't find a place to bury his nut!

Laugh out loud funny. You gotta see this movie!

Summary: A hoot and a holler.
Review: Ya like animation? Ya like ta laugh? Hard?
Are ya a kid, or at least can act like one, once in a while?
What are you waiting for? This is "Looney Tunes" for the 21st century! If the wisecracks don't crack you up, the sight gags definitely will!
Enough.
Go see.
Thank me later.

Summary: What great fun this movie is!
Review: And it is especially fun on DVD. It is a real DVD experience. It comes with two DVD disks. I was disappointed that the movie did not start with the animated short the way it does on VHS. That was too bad. Otherwise, it is a lot of fun and the quality of video is way ahead of what my VHS experience of this movie was.

Review: I was pleasently suprised at how Ice Age was done. The animation was first rate and the story had a good message in it.
I would say get this before it is pulled off the market

Summary: A truely touching and entertaining movie
Review: So a mammoth, a sabbertooth tiger and a sloth have to get this human back to his tribe. I know this sounds like an opening line of a joke however it is actually the basic plot of the movie "Ice Age". Following in the grand tradition of TOY STORY and SHREK

It is very funny and during the journey the three animals(4 if you count a rather present chipmunk ) discover something unique about themselves. The repeated gags get a little trying after a while but it is a kids movie and they don't notice if something is repeated they just laugh harder. The DVD is also jammed packed of extras that greatly enhance the experience

Summary: You must see this video...was great.
Review: The best family tape I have seen in years. It is hilarious and gives some great moral values in the storyline. I watched this 3 times and I am 49 yrs. old....and my 4 yr. old Grandson is still watching it everyday. Superb.
