Summary: The Best!
Review: This is the Best and probably will stay the best animated video. It is completly enjoyable. It's about Simba (Young Simba's voice: J.T.T) accused by his uncle,Scar, for killing his father,Mufasa. Simba had nothing to do with the murder but he thought it was his fault, because of Scar telling him lies. Simba ran away and met up with Timon and Pumbaa and lived with them, growing very fond of their friendship. Simba grew up with them (Grown up Simba: Matthew Broderick) and later Nala,Simba's childhood friend, found him and told him what Scar was doing and that he had to come back and become the King, which Simba finally decided to return to Pride Rock and fight his uncle. This is a lovely movie and i recommend this to people young and old.

Summary: ONE OF DISNEY'S BEST
Review: This gorgeous piece of artistry re-defines why Disney remains the world's foremost animation studio. The craftsmanship alone is awe-inspiring; add to it an enchanting mix of story, character and Hans Zimmer's lush and moving musical score, and this film becomes a truly memorable experience. The fable-like quality of the story, which is fascinating for adults as well as children, is almost Biblical in its wise simplicity; smaller children will be justifiably disturbed at one particularly vicious turn of events. The Elton John songs serve the film well in the long run, though they are a distinct departure from the theatricality of Ashman/Menken (Little Mermaid, etc.) - they are pop songs that convey emotion with infectious rhythm, and joyful melodies. The opening sequence, The Circle Of Life, is one of those rare transporting experiences you have in viewing a film that never goes away. This movie is for everyone, everywhere.

Summary: A TRUE DISNEY MASTERPEICE. A CLASSIC.
Review: This is the best movie I have ever seen. Disney really outdid themselves. This movie will never be topped by Disney or anyone else. This has the best story of any movie to date. The story is a classic in itself. The characters are timeless and unforgettable. Not only does it have a great story and great characters it has a beautiful soundtrack. Who can forget the words to Circle of Life or Can You Feel The Love Tonight. This movie is truly a masterpeice.

Summary: My favorite Disney Movie
Review: This is by far my favorite Disney movie and one of my top 5 favorite movies in general. It's songs, plot, and animation are far better than a lot of the other animated movies out there, in my opinion. It's a great movie for kids, but adults normally like it too.

Summary: Great
Review: This was a great Disney film-the other Lion King 2 video didn't live up to it. Excellant music & great characters to remember.

Summary: Great, but not too up to my ideal standards
Review: This is the very first Disney feature ever to be released with a story of its own rather than adapted from some fairy tale - and it's not too bad, in my opinion. Some of the animated scenes are really breathtaking and yes, even a little savage and startling. But I expected a pretty serious, emotion-driven piece of art featuring a very noble young lion (lions are such a handsome, majestic creatures, which would be great for this part) who had to face pain and difficulties while ascending the great throne as The King of Beasts. As it turned out, while some of this film proved to be just what I hoped to see, it also featured some pretty kooky, flippant parts like the one where the young Simba suddenly jumps out to sing in a spotlight as if he is in show biz. But hey, Disney is Disney - so what else would you expect? Otherwise, though it also serves as a cash cow for merchandising toys and other kiddie stuff, it's not too bad at all.

Summary: The Lion King
Review: Fantastic! It teaches young children and adults the cruel world in which we live in such an artistic and fabulous way. Children can understand the tradegies of life, perhaps a little easier when it is depicted with animated characters that they can relate with. Hooray!

Summary: Good but Unoriginal
Review: A good movie, but unfortunatly a lot was ripped off of Kimba, The White Lion. Coming out in the 60's, this series had an evil uncle with an injured eye and hyena followers, a bird and baboon that were similar to The Lion King's characters, girlfriend of Kimba, similar plots and and even the rock that appears at the beginning of The Lion King. To see the original series by Tezuki that The Lion King was based on (even if Disney won't admit it) check it out starting with the first volume "Kimba the White Lion - The King is Dead, All Hail the King"
