Summary: Too hype for little kids, too sweet for adults
Review: Although Disney is good at animation, this movie is a spoof of a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea versus Beauty & the Beast. The action is ok but limited and somewhat rushed. The relationship between Milo and the Atlantis-Princess is to vague and looks like a one-night stand type of "relationship". Good idea, badly developed.

Summary: Maybe it's just because im not ten anymore.
Review: "Thumbs Down!"

Somebody help with this boring animated Disney flick! It was supposed to be a great adventrous one with cute humor! This film just tries to pass as something original, but is really a copy of Indiana Jones, just put into Disney's version. Children may be amazed with this movie, but I sure can't understand what is so wonderful about it. Half of the characters are just annoying, as is the offbeat humor. This could run for worst film of the summer.

Summary: Atlantis is Awseome
Review: I thought the movie Atlantis was a very cool movie, because it had a cool adventurous story. Although you didn't get to meet the crew very well until the middle of the movie, you get a good idea of what they are like. The character Milo, was written as well as to show you that he was a very adventurous person, and he had the inkling of travel in his eyes! I thought that we had a really good idea of all the character's layouts. There were all sorts of personalities

Summary: A great anamated Action film.
Review: This was inpressive! I never thought Disney would do something cooler than this. It is NOT STUPID. It was very cool, intelligent, good and most of all AWSEOME! You shoul go see Atlantis. It is mostly for pre-teens but little kids would like it too. Adults will think it is very intresting. My brother really loved it. We might get the videotape. Once again Here's why you should see Atlantis.

01.Expect a killer-voice-talent.

02.An awesome almost true story plot.

03.The Best Film From Disney!

Summary: For the deeper-thinking audience...
Review: I'll grant that there are parts that shouldn't be in a Disney production. In fact, there are several. However, putting all that aside, I feel this is a well-done movie. The details (if a bit square-ish, at times) were meticulously crafted, and the storyline was clearly marked (those that don't get it weren't paying attention, and should see it again without distractions) without being blatantly obvious to the point of tedium. This is a movie for the deeper-thinking audience. If you haven't seen it yet, see it before you judge it.

Summary: Absolutely Stunning! Disneys Best yet!
Review: My favorite movie- and I am 13! Incredible animation, really cool characters. Disney definately put the extra time in. The characters- Milo- 5/5 kinda geeky, but hey, not a muscle builder like other cartoon heroes Audrey-5/5 She is cool. They gave her HUGE hips though. Nothing wrong with that but, her nose is a bit too cutesy. Helga- 5/5 My favorite character... Mole- 5/5 he's funny but kinda [different] in a way... Vinny 5/5 I like how he is so sarcastic Packard 5/5 She is so funny! Rourke- 5/5 Evil! Kida 5/5 She's too uptight. Good though. Dr. Sweet 5/5 He is... well... a docter! Cookie 5/5 Exactly what IS it that he...ahem... cooked? Whitmore 5/5 I have a cousin like him but younger lol

Overall, AWESOME! If I could change just 3 things, 1. Helga was good 2... 3. The story took place in present day.

Summary: Very Disappointing Walt Is Turning In His Grave
Review: One character, an older woman, sort of grandmother, is a chain smoker. She always has a lit cigarette in her hand or mouth. VERY BAD to be shown to children. This same character brags about "sleeping in the nude" and another character then drops a sleep mask in the hero's lap saying: "When she sleep walks, it is not a pretty picture". This is NOT what should be seen in a Disney "family" film.

The story is confusing with many gaps and things left unexplained. Example: why is the Atlantian girl's mother taken into the "light" never to return, but when the same thing happens to the girl, she comes back.

In the opening sequence when the tidal wave is coming to sink Atlantis, a character states that "they should never have done that" but "that" is never explained. This is merely one of many things that are never fully explained or left hanging.

What is most disappointing is that this could have been a good animated adventure if better scripted. Some of the animation is really excellent, but it wasted on a disappointing, confusing story.

Summary: Not bad, but not great, either
Review: I have mixed feelings about this movie. First, the good stuff. There's some great action scenes and the backgrounds are pretty spectacular. However, the characters themselves are often not drawn as well and there isn't much development to the character's, either. However, the movie isn't bad, and overall I did enjoy it, but it's not the best thing Disney's done.

I understand a lot of thinking went into developing the Atlantis culture, and that part certainly was intriguing. The mysterious Atlanteans, who are practically immortal and able to build technological marvels far beyond us, are a nice touch, but some questions are left unanswered, such as how they became so advanced so early, and why they've been living for so long buried deep in the earth. With their advanced technology, you'd think they'd have made their way back to the surface after hundreds or thousands of years. But then there wouldn't be a plot either!

Anyway, although not Disney's greatest animated flick, it's not a bad way to spend a Sat. or Sun. afternoon.

Summary: Lin's review for Atlantis: The Lost Empire
Review: The movie is very good.I recently saw it with a friend and we both loved it. it's mainly about a man named Milo thatch who gos on an expedition to find the Lost Empire. He meets Princess Kida who tells him about Atlantis and shows him around. Little does he know that the expedition was set to capture Atlantis's life force and the people of Atlantis will be doomed without it. A heartwarming story with lots of action, drama, humor, and suspense. Go see it now!!!...

Summary: the best disney movie ever
Review: ...I think this movie rocks becuase it's so diferent from all the other disney animated films. It has more action, a really good story, and people actually die in this one. Also they are no songs in this one, and it's funnier, that smoking lady was the funniest! I loved her dry sense of humour. I also liked the fact that the hero is not a super handsome, muscular build guy, he's sikinny and quite a nerd wich is cool, maybe this means disney is growing a bit. Common give it a try, it's really good, and mouch more mature thatn the others, what's not to like?
