Summary: An enjoyable family film
Review: I loved this film since the first time I saw it at 15 yrs old. I was reading the book at the time in school and eventhough this is missing a lot from the book it's still really entertaining. Elijah Wood and Courtney B. Vance are fantastic as Huck and Jim. This is most likely the role that got Wood casted as Frodo in Lord of the Rings as he shows that he's truly a gifted young actor. It's great to see that he has lasted so long too, I hope he's around long after the Lord of the Rings trilogy . I glad that this film is finally coming out on DVD but I wish it would offer a lot more features as it looks like there's not much at all.

Summary: Absolutely Wonderful
Review: I loved this movie! I wish that there were more than five stars to rate with because this deserves that at least! Elijah Wood and Courtney B. Vance make a great team. I have skimmed through the book, and while no move is exactly like the book, this one follows pretty closely and is absolutely hilarious. I would definately reccomend it to anybody!

Summary: Good movie for all ages
Review: I marvel at Elijah Wood's talent....especially in this movie. No matter what age you are, it is entertaining, and wonderful acting from all characters.
It doesn't take too much thinking which is refreshing sometimes! I have seen the VHS made for tv version a lot and I can't wait to own it.

Summary: This is definitely not Mark Twain's Huck Finn
Review: If you're looking for a film starring Elijah Wood, you could do worse than this one. If you're looking for Huck Finn, skip it. No fault of Wood's (who is really too young and far, far too pretty to play Twain's teenaged river rat), but this is more of a Saturday morning romp than the dark, thoughtful tale Twain wrote. Notwithstanding Wood's outraged reactions to Jim's desire to be free, there's little of Huck's inner self here (which Twain got across so beautifully). As Jim, Courtney B. Vance puts in a lovely, nuanced performance that would have soared in a more courageous film, and Jason Robards and Robbie Coltrane are sadly wasted in their roles. Although it's certainly true that books can never be translated wholely to the screen, I would have loved to see Wood & company essay their roles under the auspices of a different studio, one less vested in rewriting American culture. All in all, a disappointment, despite the charm of angelic Elijah.

As far as the DVD edition goes, it's quite a good transfer. Quality is even all the way through, and the commentary is interesting. A relief to see it in widescreen, as well - too many kid's films are released in full-screen.

Summary: I absolutely loved this movie
Review: It's a movie on Mark Twain's novel that brings the character's emotions and actions to the fullest. Also Elijah Wood is so cute in this movie. When he got shot and was so helpless, I thought that made him so hot. He's a great actor in this movie and I'd watch it 50 more times if I could.

Summary: J.R.R. Tolkient he Greatest writer that ever lived.
Review: Lord of the Rings is the greatest movie I`ve ever seen. It has great special fx, it was very well planned, and it has awsome details. I think that the director has an incredible imagination, but i give most of the credit to J.R.R Tolkien for creating such a place and for having a greater imagination than any other child in this world. J.R.R Tolkien was given an incredible gift and I thank him for sharing that with us. J.R.R Tolkien the greatest writer that ever lived

Summary: OMG...ELIJAH WOOD IS THE CUTEST LITTLE THING!!!
Review: OMG Elijah Wood is the CUTEST LITTLE THING!! You all HAVE to watch this. He does an EXCELLENT job i think; plus you just want to pinch his cheeks. You'll never look at Frodo Baggins the same. NEways, the movie is really cute, I almost cried, etc. Haven't read the book, so I can't compare them, but trust me, Mark Twain would've been proud.
