Summary: This is the perfect way to enjoy anime!!
Review: There is too much to say about this movie to say it all here. Unlike many, I was fortunate to see this movie screened like a real movie at the Barbican center in London. It is simply amazing how easily you can be drawn into the growth of Kiki, as she gets used her new town, and as she discovers herself. I won't say any more, I would give it all away. However, I'll say this much for those who still haven't bought the film by now. It doesn't matter if you don't go for childrens movies, or if you're dead set against fantasy films, Kiki's delivery service is simply wonderful. The imagery is simply beautiful, the characters are realistic, and the plot is rich in detail. It lacks the cheap disney plot that make childrens movies dull and cliche, instead accurately portraying the troubles faced by a young girl on her own. A definite 5 stars!

Summary: Kiki
Review: This is a great movie for all ages. It has entertainment on many levels. One of the things my family enjoyed was that witches are treated in a positive light. (A very refreshing change). It also had a good message for girls in being strong and independant. Girls dont' get very many of these role models anywhere.

Summary: A Breezy Adventurous Ride
Review: Kiki's Delivery Service, by my favorite anime creator Hayao Miyazaki, is excellent and perfect for carrying a hidden message underneath the light weight action and drama. Kiki is a thirteen year old witch-in-training. As is customs, she is sent to live by herself in a city. Kiki chooses a delightful European city bustling with buzz. She makes an impression on the townfolk by blowing in with a broomstick, along with her wisecracking cat, Gigi. She searches for a job, and finds one as a delivery girl for a local bakery. Kiki encounters what all teenagers go through: insecurity, loneliness, boredom, and eventually loses her greatest talent--flying. From that experience, she learns from a former struggling artist that you need to do what you love from the heart.
Voice acting is brilliant. Kirsten Dunst sounds believable as Kiki, and Phil Hartman is hilarious as Gigi. Unlike other animes, the voices aren't too squeaky or sound really stupid.
Also, there is a great message, as I mentioned earlier, underneath this movie. There are wonderful role models and rememberable characters that will stay in your heart, whether you like it, or not.

Summary: Great role models
Review: Charming with positive role models and great cinematography. Deals with typical issues for young people such as acceptance by peers and showing kindness. Shows how goals can be reached if one doesn't give up. One adult thought it was the "Best I've seen in a long time." Kids related to Kiki trying to reach her goal and failing along the way. They commented: "It's hard to know what you want to be." "I liked the song, 'If I can make life better, then I'm going to fly.'"

Summary: I LOVE Kiki!!!
Review: This is a fantastic animated movie! It really captures the essence of japanese anime, with no tacky singing & dancing sequences, it's a movie for both children & adults. It's about a girl & her cat growing up, learning about friendship & independence. Kiki's Delivery Service can be classified as a true cinematic classic. I have watched this movie SO many times that I wore out the tape. Luckily for me, a good friend sent me the DVD from Japan. It has a great story line that promotes good values such as independence, determination & friendship. It's best watched with the japanese dialog with english subtitles as this enhances the Studio Ghibli experiance much more! For the TRUE anime fan, purchasing this movie is a MUST!

Summary: Wonderful and joyous
Review: This movie is one of the most delightful pieces of film you will ever see. The animation is bright and beautiful, the story is fun, funny and exciting, the characters are wonderful, the voice casting (in the english dubbed version) is absolutely perfect. There is not one bad thing to say about this movie. On a personal note, as a 24 year old male with no children, I can honestly say that this is one of my favorite movies. It has such a fun, positive message, such wonderful dialogue, I find myself putting it in when I'm feeling down on rainy days just to get cheered up! Buy this film, say it's for your kids, but one night when they're sleeping over at a friend's house, watch it yourself and discover the genius of Hayao Miyazaki.
