Rating: Summary: Are there any words for it? Review: When you compare this movie with the muppetshow, the muppets are like a VW Beetle and Labyrinth is like a Rolls Royce. Every little detail in this film is so wonderful and when you watch this film over and over you will see new things every time. Amazone really has to release this film, because my home-made copy has been melted of watching.
Rating: Summary: Re-release Not Remake Review: To the Colorado reviewer, this is not a remake but a re-release. It is still the same movie, with David Bowie, they are just releasing it again.
Rating: Summary: One of my favorite movies Review: This is a great movie for all ages. The songs are wonderful and the muppets are great for kids. Some parts (i.e. the chilly downs) may be a bit scary for really young children. I am so glad to see that they are re-releasing it.
Rating: Summary: An archetypal journy with touches of satirical comedy Review: This beautifully told coming-of-age tale written in part by former Monty Python member Terry Jones combines amazing pupetry and characterizations with great performances from human actors, especially David Bowie as the Goblin King. The story can be interpreted as pure adventure, an empowering tale for girls of all ages, and as the psychological journy typical of abused children. The humor is pure python and will delight Jones fans of all ages! A must see for kids!
Rating: Summary: Great fantasy fun movie Review: I first saw Labyrinth when I was maybe 6 or 7, and I always remembered it. When I saw it again when I was 15 I realized that I still loved it! I loved David Bowie as Jareth, and his music is genious. This movie is fun for all ages. I even have the soundtrack which is still available to buy. The goblins and humor in the film make it a fantasy classic. I'd also reccommend The Princess Bride and Legend. Labyrinth is definitely one of my all-time favorites!
Rating: Summary: A QUEST, for kids and grown-ups Review: The plot reminds me of "The Wizard of OZ". The girl (hero) is searching for her baby brother, who has been kidnapped by the Goblin King. Along the way, she meets friends and helpers. Of course, the quest is about growing up; about taking responsibilty for one's own actions. The friends are WONDERFUL. My kids and I LOVED this film - it offers something for everyone. Great conversation starter, and great entertainment.
Rating: Summary: remake Review: is this a remake of the 1986 classi
Rating: Summary: Good Movie to entertain your kids with. Review: I loved this movie when I was a kid. I cryed at the begining, because I was scared. Scared of the little muppet goblins and their king(David Bowie). This movie takes you on an adventure through mazes and secret passage ways. I've seen it many times. And I still enjoy watching this movie. Try it you'll like it a lot.
Rating: Summary: I thought this movie was wonderful!! Review: I'm fourteen years old and I don't know one person who doesn't like this movie. It's funny and cute and a total family movie. It's a big puppet show with fun characters, sets, and a wonderfully amusing story line. All throughout the movie are cute jokes, for the adults, and songs, puppets, and sets, for the kids. You will fall in love with almost all the characters and love to hate the other ones. This movie is a classic and everyone should own it!!
Rating: Summary: You'd think that it would e re-released....... Review: HEY!!! My review on this movie is that you would think that after this ingeniusly funny and fantastic show has been reviewed in good humor and sought out by thousands of fans that it would be re-released!!! It is obviously appealing to all ages because you very much often read about people who love the film STILL after seeing it when the were 7 and 8 years old in the 80's!! I think that everyone who reads this and who has a website on the labyrinth should join the labyrinth web ring and the save the labyrinth project. Thanks alot!!! Lets get this movie BACK ON TAPE!! OR IN THEATRES!!!! -A LABYRINTH LOVER-
