Rating: Summary: ARGUABLY THE BEST DISNEY FAMILY MOVIE EVER. Review: There is action, humor and lessons of life for the whole family, and boys and girls of all ages. The movie may be a little to violent for the BARNEY crowd is the only complaint I have. But we voted it number 1, just beating out Peter Pan for our favorite Disney animated movie. Arguably the best Family movie ever, this is like two movies in one. There is the movie about the lions and stories of kings and successions. That part ends when Timon and Pumbaa arrive and the second part of the movie begins. Obviously T&P have been so popular that they still have their own show 9 years later. We also have the music of Elton John to brighten things up. I don't know how Elton does it. We had a lot of fun by gathering the family together to rank the 41 Disney movies we have that include some cartoon work. All the kids, ages 6 to 27, participated along with mother and dad. Peter Pan is no Codfish, we rank it #2. Lion King was selected number 1 of the 41 as the family favorite, but narrowly. Peter Pan was 2. Pete's Dragon 3, Beauty & the beast 4 and Sleeping Beauty 5.
Rating: Summary: Great for Depression Review: Odd, but this is one of few movies I have ever seen that helps depression. I was depressed at one time. And since we know that about one it eight teens get depressed, I will share with you only a few things that help. In the widely-known song, "Can You Feel The Love Tonight," Timon and Pumbaa realize that their best friend has found someone - Nala - and they are worried that he will fall in love, therefor they lose their best friend. This helps you understand that everyone, cartoon or real, goes through problems. It is important that when you are depressed, you tell others how you feel and you have someone to help cheer you up. Scar tells Simba that it was his (Simba's) fault Mufasa died. Scar tells Simba to "run away and never come back." Simba does, after being chased by the hyenas. Simba lands and gets knocked out. Once he finally wakes up, Timon and Pumbaa find him. They notice he's depressed, so they teach him "Hakuna Matata." To find out the other things, I want you to purchase the tape/DVD. You will understand what I mean. P.S. - The music sounds GREAT on a stereo...but also good on your normal television set;).

Rating: Summary: The "King" Of DVD's Review: The Lion King has been a favourite of all time and not just with me, but nearly everyone i know or knew. I first saw The Lion King with my mum when i was four and every since i've been hooked. I always cry at the part where Mufasa dies, even though i've seen it about a million times and am 14 years old. Now that video's are going downhill, I was wondering when The Lion King would come out on DVD and here it is and a Special Edition too. A classic story of a headstrong Lion cub who struggles to find his place in the circle of life. This DVD has stunning animation, quality surround sound and a brillient storyline, which, alltogether makes The Lion King the ultimate, "King" of DVD's
Rating: Summary: Great Movie to Fall in Love to Review: This was the first movie date for my wife of 8 years, Theresa and I. I was 37 and she 26, so we were not kids, but the magic contained in the movie was just that. We now own the video and watch it often and it never fails to bring back that first night. This movie always brings home the power of hope, love and being true to yourself. Everyone should be as lucky as I, you will love this movie!
Rating: Summary: A very good movie for all ages Review: This movie is about Simba, a young lion prince, and shows his life as he grows up. The hardships of his father being killed, his uncle making him believe it was his fault, and trying to run away from his past. In the end, he challenges his uncle to the throne and the truth about his father's death comes out. A great movie explaining the circle of life, coming of age and coming to terms with death as well as facing the past.
Rating: Summary: Can you feel the love tonight? Review: The greatest animated movie of all time, Disney's Masterpiece "The Lion King" comes roaring onto DVD on October 7, 2003. The Lion King is about a young Lion Cub, named Simba, who realizes his place in the Circle of life. Namely, his place is as the King of his dad's former throne. Simba's dad (Mufasa, who's voice is done by the legendary James Earl Jones) tries to teach his young son that we all have responsibilities in life, but Simba wants no part of that. He's too busy goofing off and letting his curiosity get the best of him, which results in some mane raising experiences! When all is said and done though, Simba rises to the occasion, and takes his place as the rightful Lion King. With stunning animation, beautiful songs, especially "Can you feel the love tonight" and "Circle of Life" by Elton John, "The Lion King" is a must own DVD! Gather your family and friends (including your furry friends) around the tv and enjoy the show!
