Summary: Excellent Movie!!
Review: EXCELLENT MOVIE!! This is the first movie I've seen in a LONG time that lived up to everything I expected. This was a hilarious movie, Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers were perfectly cast, and did wonderfully.

This is not just a moview for kids, not by any means. A lot of the jokes in the movie are going to go over the younger sets heads, but that's what makes the movie so perfect. Kids will love the animation, and the parents will appreciate the humor.

This is also one of the best all digital fill I've seen, and to this point I've seen most of them. If you haven't seen this movie yet, what are you waiting for????

Summary: Who doesn't love the big, green ogre?
Review: So this is where all the good writers in Hollywood are -- animation! I knew they were hiding somewhere! Behind a big, green ogre.

Shrek is clever, imaginative, and a joy to watch. Laugh-out-loud funny and you only have to get through a few potty jokes in the beginning to get to the real fun. This is truly a film for all ages as a lot of the adult humor just goes right over kids' heads.

The animation alone is enough to draw crowds too. The texture and lighting is amazing! I'm really looking forward to more 3D computer generated movies.

Aside from that, it is a movie not to be missed this summer among a marquee full of lackluster competition.

Summary: The Best Movie Don't Skip This one.
Review: Shrek might be the best film out for kids and grownups to see. You'll laugh in head off in almost 90 minutes. Shrek (Mike Myers) is having dinner when cartoon characters show up in his swamp. He doesn't like it. So he heads off to see Lord Farquad (John Lithgow) to get these characters out of his swamp.

Lord Farquad wants to be king of the near by town. But the magic mirror gives him three choices to be his queen. Two Disney characters and the princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz). Farquad goes for princess Fiona. When Shrek and a talking doney named Donkey (Eddie Murphy) show up, Lord Farquad tells Shrek, that he'll get the characters out of the swamp if Shrek gets Princess Fiona out of a castle with a dragon.

So Shrek goes off with Donkey. They find the princess. Shrek has a knight's helmet on his head. When Princess Fiona wishes Shrek to take off the helmet to see the face of Shrek. Shrek says "I have Helmet hair." But does. Princess Fiona has a secret, she had a spell put on her and at night she turns into a some what orge like Shrek is. On the way back Shrek and Princess Fiona fall in love. You'll will laugh your head off at this movie. But could you do me a favor please check to see if your head is still on after the movie is over.

Summary: HAHAHA this one's a good one!
Review: From the opening scene with the song "All Star," you know you're not in for a normal, predictable animated fairy tale movie. Besides the catchy pop soundtrack, many other scripted fairy-tale rules are thrown out the tower. Shrek the ogre isn't your conventional knght in shining armor- he didn't even want to be. But to make the short, not-so-intimidating villain Lord Farquaad get the fairy-tale animals off his property, he has to rescue the rather typical fairy tale princess Fiona from a tower guarded by a dragon and bring her back to Farquaad. His donkey sidekick, hilariously played by Eddie Murphy, tags along with Shrek. The trip back to the castle makes for many comical adventures. But a fat ugly ogre couldn't possibly get together with a beautiful perfect princess...or maybe...

When I first saw the previews I thought it would be just another dumb kiddie cartoon but when I saw it at the theater, it was hilarious. My fav scene, which had me laughing so hard I almost cried, was the one when Princess Fiona started singing with a bird, and then... Just proves, as the film preaches, you can't judge somrthing until you really get to know it. Finally, we the less-than-perfect-figured-people get our representation in the movies. Two thumbs up!

Summary: Shrek-the best!!
Review: I am 32 years old, and last night, I saw the movie with my husband, who is 36. This is the 2nd time seeing the movie for me, and I absolutely LOVE it! I thought it was extremely funny and enjoyable. However, there are alot of situations and phrases that a child might not understand (or you might not want them to!) I definitely recommend seeing it, though. I could watch it over and over. In fact, when it comes out on video and dvd, I'll be the 1st in line to buy it!

Summary: LOTS OF FAMILY FUN
Review: IF YOU PARENTS THINK YOUR GOING TO FALL ASLEEP DURING THE MOVIE, YOUR WRONG! THIS MOVIE HAS ALOT OF GROWNUP JOKES (AS IN THE ONGOING GAG WITH MYERS CALLING MURPHEY A ..., NOT MEANING THE TURM DONKEY) AND ALOT OF KIDS JOKES (AS IN HIT SHREK IN THE ... JOKES) AND FAMILY JOKES (SUCH AS THE HILLARIOUS TOURTURE SEAN WITH THE GINGERBREAD MAN AND, "DO YOU KNOW THE MUFFIN MAN" WHICH YOU'LL FIND OUT ABOUT IN THE MOVIE...) TO KEEP YOU LAUGHING FOR WEEKS. ALL IN ALL, THIS IS A SUREFIRE HIT FOR 2001!

Summary: This movie is HILARIOUS!
Review: If you haven't seen the movie, I highly recommend it. My whole family saw it and loved it. Well, actually, my husband, my 7yo, and myself. My baby slept though it, of course, but it did not interest my 2yo. My husband usually does not watch animated movies, but he agreed to this one. He, my son, and I laughed throughout the entire movie. My face was sore at the end of the movie. Granted, many of the jokes flew over my son's head, but he enjoyed the action. My husband always liked John Lithgow in villianous roles and he and I both agreed that he was perfect as the voice of Farquaad. Eddie Murphy did a wonderful job as the voice of the talking donkey. And the scenes with the Tortured Gingerbread Man were just way too funny. I also liked the fact that they incorporated the Disney characters in the movie and it was funny watching the Disney Princesses fight at the end. The ending is almost predictable, but that's okay. This is a must see movie.

Summary: Shrek & Eddie Murphy
Review: To me, Eddie Murphy stole the show as a donkey who ends up friends with Ogre, though Ogre would rather not be HIS friend. They share some adventures, trying to rescue the Princess in order for the Ogre to be left alone again in his swamp.... Not as much of a children's movie as I thought it would be, the graphics are terrific, and it will keep you laughing, no matter how old or young you are.
