Summary: Prince of Egypt, King of America
Review: If you've ever had the pleasure of seeing this movie, you know what I mean when I say this movie rocks. Director Simon Wells utilized his team of big name actors, amazing animators, and great writers to orchestrate a truly magnificent motion picture. The animators' unique mixture of animation and CG animation has been mimicked ever since its theatrical debut. Dreamworks didn't dissapoint us with its DVD release either. Packed extras, its orinal 1.85:1 aspect ratio, and its superb audio track, the Prince of Egypt is a must-have for any fan. If you like biblical movies, animated movies, or just movies in general, you'll love this picture.

Summary: You'll like this movie when you believe
Review: I loved this movie. Though people may not understand why they showed Passover in a kid's movie, it's because God wanted more people to believe. If you don't understand, I mean the people without the blood of a lamb on the doorpost even though Moses told them to put it up were non-believers so God would teach them a lesson. Though it may not be on the dot with the Bible, it doesn't mean it's a bad movie. At my school, we're allowed to bring in tapes to watch if recess is rained out and if I had this, I'd bring it. Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston sing beautifully together and I have always wanted the soundtrack and movie. If you don't believe me, watch it.

Summary: This movie is more than spectacular!
Review: This is not only a pretty good adaptation of my favorite bible story; it is an entertaining masterpiece. The cast is great. The story line is great, and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the part of the movie depicting one of the greatest miracles ever occurring. Okay, so there were a few part that weren't just like the Bible tells it, but there is room for that, since it is supposed to make the kids laugh. I not only recommend this movie to children, but more so to adults. It is not just for little kids. It is as entertaining as they come. Not only that, it is extremely spiritually motivating! This is what movies should be like. They should be made for the glory of God or not be made at all.

Summary: Great interpretation on a true story
Review: I found that the Prince of Egypt was a wonderful movie. They portrayed the real-life story very well, I thought. For a bonus, the special effects were awesome. This is my favorite movie. I also found the voices to be great for the characters the played. An added bonus was the great, sometimes catchy songs. Great job!

Summary: Great kids film
Review: I saw this film in Christology class, and like most people I was preparing for a nice long nap. But strangly enough I was surprised. It wasn't full of sterotypical bibical cheep animation and was actually quite entertaining. It tells the well known story of Moses. The Hebrew slave that was sent down the river as a child so he didn't have to die. He was picked up by the Queen's daughter (though in the film I think it's just the Queen) and grew up as an egyptian. When the time came that he found out he was a Hebrew, just like the slaves he treated so badly he freaked out. It shows pretty accuratly what happened in the bibical story. But what I found to be quite funny in this movie is how some of the actors look a lot like the animated charecters that they provide vocies for.

Summary: your average McDisney on the rough side.
Review: Old testament. One of the most cruel, inhumane, bloodsoaked documents ever written by men. How close you can get nowadays kids to it with their Barneys, Mermaids and "I love you" said as often as "hi?"

Can you skip that story of Hebrew God slaughtering children of Egypt? Can you show the people of that time the way they conducted their daily chores, spoke, treated their olds and youngs? Can you explain them the concept of the living God, the Pharao who had to behave like a real God all the time?

No way, folks. Not without leaving them nowadays kids scared, confused and as twisted as the authors of the original.

I give one star for the graphics. It's really awesome.

Review: This is a moving, powerful story that has not been ruined by modern thinking. While not historically accurate, it instead focuses on the meaning and the significance of the story. It has a fabulous soundtrack and is for people all ages.

Summary: Well Done Movie!
Review: I never thought that you could tell this story any better than it was told in the Ten Commandments. This movie does. An out- standing movie. The story of Moses was shown in a captivating manner. The scenery used in this cartoon movie was breathtaking. The special effects shown in this cartoon movie were also very good. The makers of this movie also did a very good job of showing the journey to the promised land. As in the movie the Ten Commandments the parting of the Red Sea was a quality peice of work. This movie will indeed go down as a cartoon classic. Be sure to purchase this movie because it will be a collector's item.

Summary: MOSES!MOSES!
Review: When I first rented this movie I believed it would just be a one time film for my nephew to see. Yet after watching it with him, I had to buy it for myself.

The Prince of Egypt follows the story of Moses from childhood to the crossing of the Red Sea. It uses accurate bibilical text to convey the story of Moses to children and Adults.

I recommend this movie not only for children but for adults. Sit down and watch with your children and you will be amazed at how wonderful the movie really is.
