Summary: My favorite movie
Review: The Princess Bride, is one of the sweetest, feel-good movies of all time. It is a movie for anyone, of any age. It touches upon so many themes in life, love, aging, bravery etc. Every actor and actress, pulls their own weight in this film, and cameos from Carol Kane and Billy Crystal just add to the superb acting. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

Summary: A charming fairy tale for young and old.
Review: Whether you're an action lover, a hopeless romanic, or someone who likes to laugh, The Princess Bride is a movie for you.

When a sick boy asks his Grandfather to read him a story so he won't be bored, he has no idea what a wonderful story he is about to hear. In this story, which is filled with suspense, comedy, and romance, Princess Buttercup is seperated by her one true love, and becomes berothed to the odius Prince Humperdink. When she is kidnapped and is rescued by a mysterious pirate, the adventure begins.

This is a wonderful movie that keeps the laughs coming from beginning to end, and I highly recommend it for everyone on your Christmas list.

Summary: Wit and Wimsey doesnt do it justice
Review: The review on the back of the label says wit and whimsey, adventure, inspires imagination...This is all true and more, I have watched this movie EVERY time it is on TV. when i learned i could buy it,i did in a NY minute :) It is fun, creative, you laugh, you say ..ahhhhhhh......With Peter Falk giving his Grandson a story, while the child is sick, is cute. When he wants video games, stories are for babies says the child. As the story gets more exciting little Ben Savage gets into it,by story end he has learned his Grandfather is as magical as the story he reads. All in all, THE PRINCESS BRIDE is for all ages. It is a favorite of my teens and my young adult children as well as my 4yr old grandchild.,This is well worth keeping on your shelf at the ready to be viewed.

Summary: Great Movie
Review: This movie is fun and entertaining for both younger audiences and their more adult counterparts. The adventure flows freely, in true swashbuckling form, and the laughs never stop. Brilliant performances by Peter Faulk, Robin Wright, and Cary Elwes lead a truly spectacular rogue's gallery of supporting roles and cameos that you'll never forget. If you like action in the vein of pirates or robin hood, you'll enjoy this movie, but the VHS may be a better buy for your buck.

Summary: A classic film
Review: A wholesome american comedy set in the brit "Monty Python" tradition. The Princess Bride is a hilarious yet touching film that comprimises nothing to it's clean humor and family-oriented content. The DVD itself has no remarkable special features but does include a thin, collectable booklet and offers the choice of standard or widescreen versions. There are no english subtitles for the hearing impaired.

Summary: A pure, swashbuckling pleasure
Review: The luminous, petulant princess Buttercup, Inigo Montoya, The Man In Black,...and Andre The Giant. What else is there? This is a classic fairy tale, with Peter Falk, Billy Crystal as the hysterical Miracle Max, Wallace (My Dinner with Andre) Shawn and the divine Robin Wright-Penn. Babes, villians, magic, heros and humor. Truly one of my favorites of all time. Sweet, playful, romatic, fanciful, just a ton of fun. A movie you'll quote, and perfect strangers will smile in common appreciation and understanding. I also strongly recommend the book. It's totally hysterical and well written, a delicious page turner.

Summary: Excellent Film! Crappy DVD!
Review: I love this film to death. I have seen it enough to nearly recite it word-for-word. The DVD is a wonderful transfer with great sound and picture, BUT...

The DVD offers NOTHING but the film itself, a trailer, and spoken dialogue/captions options. I was very annoyed that there were no behind-the-scenes or director commentary. The "booklet" was not really anything to speak of either.

I feel that a DVD should offer more for the money. When one is presented like this, it should be half the price. Sure, I purchased it - but I'm not pleased.

Summary: Inconceivable!
Review: Where to begin. I think this movie is probably the only movie that I will remember ALL the words to for the rest of my days. There are so many brilliant actors in this movie that it would be a shame if you've never seen it. BUY IT!, RENT IT!, WATCH IT!, LOVE IT!

Summary: Magnificent master piece
Review: What a treat! This movie is one of those wonderful titles that you never get tired of. You can both watch it 10 times or 500 times (like I did) and enjoy the same parts, in addition to some others, all over again. There are timeless scenes and phrases that seem to affect the entire industry ("My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father...")... marvelous!

I'm trying to think of downsides to it, but there doesn't seem to be any. It's the most beautiful and classic fairytale wrapped in the most beautiful and subtle paper of modern humor. It can relate to anyone... young and old. A treasure to keep. It also makes a wonderful gift for the holidays. :)

Summary: Romantic
Review: One of my favorite movies. It is very romantic, funny and uplifting.
