Summary: Disneys only mistake!
Review: I am a 17yr female who grew up on Disney's movies, the Disney channel, and my fav vacations are to Disney world, but I belive that Disney made a huge mistake w/ Tarzan. The opening scene was almost to hard to bear. I have been raised very openly and have never been offened by a movie intill Tarzan. Before I watched the movie I knew that Tarzan would be orphaned, but I had no idea that they would show the blood of his parents and their bodies. I think Disney could have used a less disgusting way of showing that Tarzan's parents had died. I recomed you preview the video before you let your child view it.

Summary: Best Music
Review: Tarzan, i think has the best music and animation in all the disney movies ever made. The sound and music was my all time favorite. And the script was funny yet it had suspence.

Summary: Tarzan is fabulous!
Review: Tarzan is one of the first Disney movies in years to actually be appropriate for the whole family. They toned down the violence in this one and I am very thankful to them for that. My entire family has really enjoyed this movie and the music is incredible! My three preschool age children are having a wonderful time banging on our pots and pans and plastic boxes imitating the songs. No one could have topped Phil Collins (except maybe my children!).

Summary: Tarzan
Review: This is one great movie. However, the 5.0 (that's right--no LFE channel--don't worry, it's not needed here) Digital Sound track has a few flaws that are documented elsewhere on the web. It seems dialogue that should pan from the center channel to the left-front channel doesn't. Instead, it pans to the left-REAR channel. It happens mostly in scenes with the Doctor and most scenes thereafter. Disney is aware of the problem, I've read, and is shipping a new batch of DVDs. I do not know of a replacement policy as of yet or how the new discs will be identified. Disney has done this before with "The Black Hole" which as no sound from the right-front speaker. That new "fixed" disc has a red seal or symbol on the back of the case. Just a note to you audiophiles out there. Most people will not notice the audio "problem" with Tarzan that you and I noticed right away.

Summary: Very Entertaining!
Review: This is a fantastic movie! The characters are appealing, the artwork breathtaking, the plot captivating. As usual, Disney isn't exactly a Cliff Notes of the original book, but it captures the essential conflict of the title character. The music is catchy, but all runs in a similar vein - the pop-jungle, so to speak. Disney has had stronger musical contributions, but the music of Tarzan functions well in the background and as a way to tie several diverse scenes together. The dialogue is funny and even touching, particularly the relationship between mother and son. Raises interesting points about family, heredity, and environment. Some of the characters will seem familar: the doddering, short, white-haired father, the buff evil hunter... but Tarzan and Jane are fresh entities. And best of all, the "Me Tarzan, you Jane" scene is rewritten and changed into one of the best parts of the movie!

Summary: Tarzan Is A Swinging Good Time! My five year old loves it!
Review: This movie MOVES! It's very fast-paced, fun-filled, action-picked film, that will hold everyone's attention - from 3 year olds, to 103 year olds! There is a lot of humour in this movie, along with some cute sassy-mouthed characters, (typical of Disney!),suspenseful moments with a ferocious leopard, and a sensation of real love and closeness between Tarzan and his adopted ape mom; all of which add to the enjoyability of this movie. The style of animation in Tarzan is truly superb; the jungle really appears to "come to life" right before our eyes! In my family's opinion, Tarzan is one of Disney's best efforts to date! Definitely one that's worth owning!

Summary: Somewhat lacking
Review: I was less than impressed with the movie I was expecting a little more humor and lightheartedness in the movie and I thought it lacked in this area. It does have an appealing sound track and a somewhat different slant on the Tarzan saga but I was left expecting more

Summary: A Must Have.....Great Movie. Buy it on DVD!
Review: I am a collector of Disney movies and Tarzan is an instant classic. It instantly beat out many other disney titles to sit as my 4th all time favorite Disney Movie; rght below 1-Little Mermaid, 2-Aladin, 3-Toy Story. The animation, and story line were great....but, the music & soundtrack is outstanding. This factor alone warrents buying this movie on DVD. My kids and I watched it 6 times back to back on the first day we got it and it has been watched many times since then. We probably would have already worn out a regular video tape. Only 2 little pieces of advice. 1-Buy This Movie! You will love it. 2-Buy It On DVD! You will be thankful that you did.

Summary: The most big effort until Lion King
Review: Tarzan uses a new technology called Deep Canvas, that made a wonderfull tridimensional world, all look amazing, is the most big effor until Lion King, The music like in the lion King not is singid by the actors (Only 2), The story is very well made, is deep and hilarious, and tragic, and dramatic, and reflexive. Talkin about the DVD it look Wonderfull, The sound IS GREAT, and the IMAGE are TERRIFIC, this is no the special BUT HAS too many extras, LIKE Phil Collins video, a demo of tehgame, the trailer of Dinosaur, and many more, and For DVD-ROM, you have wallpapers, WEb page, IS REALLY GOOD. all the disney movies has to be like this, I think is a dissapointmen of Little Mermaid, it dont have anything. Buy Tarzan You dont will be dissapointed.
