Summary: The second best movie of 2002!
Review: ...P>This movie is a very very good adaptation of the book. There is one scene that was taken out though that would have been really good, the Nearly Headless Nick Deathday party scene was not in it. That was the only scene missing I think. Anyway, there's another thing that was weird, I guess the Harry Potter kids are going through puberty because there voices have changed so much. and their acting skills are getting better and better all the time. Now onto the good stuff:The movie is kept at a decent length (165 minutes, approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes)
The acting is much much better (not to say that the acting in the first was bad, just that it is getting better)
The filmmaking is very very very very good! Chris Columbus should get a nomination at the Oscars!
The score (John Williams did the best score of his career with the first one, but this one and Attack of the Clones both take the cake)
The movie is very faithful to the book! Well, hope my review has been helpful in helping you decide on whether to see Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets or not....P>OVERALL GRADE FOR MOVIE:

Summary: It's Better than the First!
Review: WOW! That's what I said when I left the theater! I was absolutly amazed at how well the director made this movie. I also was surprised by how much better this movie was than the first one. The Good- The special effects were terrefic, not cheap looking like the first one! The actors were more into their roles, probabley because they had gotten use to being in movies. If you have read the book than you know what the creature is inside of the chamber. That creature(don't want to give anything away) looks realistic! The Bad- They left some parts out such as the part where Mr. Malfoy and Mr. Weasly get in a fight at the book store. They also left out the part when Fred, George, Harry and Ron denomed the garden and then played Quiddich in the woods. Overall this movie was really good and if you havn't read the books this movie will surely enchant you! ( B+ )

Summary: Chamber is not for little kids
Review: I saw HP and the Sorcerer's Stone before I read the book and loved it. I then read the book (that night) and loved the property even more. This time I read COS before I saw the movie, and still thoroughly enjoyed both. While I agree with those who feel that the books are a richer and more complete experience, I still adore the movies for the glorious 2-3 hour ride that only the big screen can provide.
I got the DVD of Sorcerer's Stone and was going to hide it from my 3 and a half year old son since I thought it would be too scary. But he found it anyway and watches it over and over without nightmares. However, Parents of YOUNG CHILDREN BEWARE - COS is really really scary, much darker and scarier and even just more intense than the first movie. Please see it before you take your little kids (seven and under).

Summary: 5th Year wizard
Review: I thought this movie was really good . it picks up where #1 left off there was one thing I didn't like about the film though and it was that Defense against the dark arts teacher gilderoy lockhart but the rest of the film was really good and the ending of the film was sweet you could tell that the relationship between Harry and Hermionne was going to turn from friendship to
love. I would strongly recommend this movie to any Harry Potter fan.

Summary: Magic in the Making
Review: As always, Hollywood does magic when bringing a book to life. Radcliffe and his acting companions make the characters ever so belivable. The movie stays pretty much to the story written in the book, minus a few things i felt important but thats Hollywood for you. With the little house elf, Dolby creating a great comic relief after being on the edge of my seat with creepy crawlies of spiders and snakes, i give this movie a thumbs up.I believed the best three scenes in the movie had to be the scene when the bludger goes rogue and chases Harry as he and Draco Malfoy race for the snitch, the other scene i thought was good, even though it was gross, had to been when Ron casts a spell at Malfoy for calling Hermoine a "mudblood" and the spell backfires and he begins to cough up slugs... ewww. lol. And my third fave scene had to be in the actual tunnels of the Chamber of Secrets and getting to see the Basilisk for the first time.So,if you read the books or even if you havent. Go check the movie out on the bigscreen. Dont wait til its on DVD,but of course make it part of your growing DVD collection. I will be adding it to mine.

Summary: Better than the first!
Review: I saw this movie on the first day. It was really good. The special effects were better and more believable than the first movie. It follows the book about the same as the first, except I think there is less stuff cut off. There are a bunch of laughs in this movie, too. All the actors seem a little more grown up. All the people that I saw it with thought this one was better than the last, both in the story and the movie making. I just hope that the next one will be this good, too.

Summary: Brilliant!
Review: I thought the first one was great, but this one is even better. As you all know i'm not a fan of special effects but so far in both films the special effects are briliant and believable. Maybe because this isn't an American film that the special effects don't seem to be overdone. I hope these kids do well in their careers of acting and continue this trade when they get older. They do have alot of talent. Great job done by all involved in this production.

Summary: ABOLUTELY THRILLING!!
Review: This movie is far above the first. I saw it in the theatre about 6 hours ago and hope to see it in a few more hours. This movie is an utter masterpiece. It is solid, clear, full of action, just the usual stuff Harry Potter has to offer: the occasional letter delivered by an owl, scarlet envelopes that shriek and yell when opened, iron spheres that chase students on broomsticks, and garden pest control products called "Flesh Eating Slug Repellent." This movie also introduces some new characters. Head of Hufflepuff House, Professor Sprout, who teaches Herbology. The conceited, female charmer Professor Lockhart, who teaches Defense Against the Dark Arts, and an evil school governor named Lucius Malfoy.
The movie also has a great cast. The trio, Harry Ron and Hermione, are growing up and (this is one thing I like better in this movie) they show more emotion toward events. Maggie Smith (recently declared a Dame by the Queen) returns as the strict and clever Professor McGonagall. Richard Harris (who sadly passed away just a couple weeks before the movie was released in America) is back for his second and last time as the wise and understanding Dumbledore.
Despite it's 2 hour and 55 minute running time, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets rarely has a dull moment. There may be a time when Harry is walking down a corridor and you think nothing's going to happen, (Quick Note: It's impossible for something to not be happening at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.) but then a disembodied voice cuts the silence. Or perhaps a perfectly ordinary corridor holds a student in a mysterious form of suspended animation.
The Quidditch match, (unfortunately like the first movie there's only one) is more exciting as Harry and Draco Malfoy are both competing Seekers. The effects are better and (I don't know why) but the actual Quidditch stadium seems larger.
Then there are the comical aspects. There's a tiny creature classified as a house-elf named Dobby who goes about trying to save Harry's life in the most peculiar and inexplicable ways. The flying car, enchanted by Ron's father, is a smashing hit and meets a smashing fate after it falls into the violent branches of the Whomping Willow. Coupled with Ron's snide and sarcastic remarks, this movie delivers several spots that encourage hilarity.
The storyline is solid and complete with its own twists and turns, which is mastered, of course, by J.K Rowling. The book, naturally, is better than the movie. It is not possible to condense Rowling's work into 3 or even 4 hours and have it give the same effect as the book (though the way things are going, the 4th movie could be several days long). I think that this movie includes all hat it can and there are some things missing that I would have liked to see, but when you're done watching the movie, you'll just be dwelling on how great it was.

Review: I'm not one to write reviews, but I loved this movie. I don't think I've ever cried during a children's movie before, but some scenes actually brought tears to my eyes. I've been a fan of the books for some time now, and I must say that the film did well for the amount of time that was allotted for it. I highly recommend it to anyone, be they child or adult.
