Summary: Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets
Review: I like this movie because it shows that Harry has true friends that are willing to help him no matter what danger here is. Also I like the flying care that Ron's family has. The one thing that surprizes me that he can speek to snakes in snake because of valdamort. That is one thing that stumped me. Also at the end it makes you think does Harry go back to his aunt and uncle or does he stay at Ron's house. I guess you could say that Harry would always be trapped by is aunt and uncle.

Review: On this DVD you don't have to go through a long, drawn-out process to get to the deleted scenes. Now there is a place to click and go directly there. The special features are easy to get to unlike the first Harry Potter DVD.

Review: i have no idea why this movie was given a PG rating, there where many disturbing scenes in the movie that i thought was too much for the kids, like the dead cat and the ghost that hung himself... i think the harry potter series is some sort of brainwashing program that will end up bieng a big cult. the author of this book has a warped sense of imagination and should stick to her previous career, selling cookies or whatever the [heck] she did before she wrote this discrace in literature called harry potter.

Summary: Slavishly copies book without capturing any of its charm
Review: I think that this movie is extraordinarily boring. Unlike the first film, which took some liberties with the material in the interests of time, the sequel simply left out some of the most charming scenes in the book without really transitioning to the next event. The cast was, of course, excellent, and the sets wonderful, but the film was so predictable in every aspect that watching it was a tedious chore. A literary adaptation is only good if it contributes something new to the material, and this one doesn't.

Summary: Enjoyable--UP TO the last five minutes!
Review: I thought the filmmakers, actors and crew did a wonderful job with the book. I really enjoyed everything and it totally captured my imagination. Seeing Harry cope with a darker, more serious threat and grow more mature (and more HANDSOME, LOL!) is wonderful. All the actors are growing into their roles. In particular, Lucius Malfoy is a standout: malevolence personified. All in all, it was a well done movie. Except--WHY DID they have to ruin it with such a HOKEY, RIDICULOUS ending which has very little to do with the book! Ugh. As soon as Hagrid enters the Great Hall, I scan forward every time. What a disappointing conclusion. Ugh. The DVD is great, except I agree with all who said that the extra scenes should have been on Disc One, NOT Disc Two. All in all, a fun viewing experience!

Summary: Great movie, good quality DVD with great bonuses!
Review: The movie is great. Very true to the 2nd book. Since this book was slightly longer than the first, some parts had to be cut from the movie. These cuts were actually filmed as "additional scenes", and are included on the second bonus disk. The image and sound quality is very good especially since a lot of the movie is shot in darker lit areas. The special effects which looked lower budget in the first movie actually shine in this film. The scenes of Quidditch will be right up there from action scenes from great sports movies. You will feel right there among the players. The bonus disk in this DVD set is better than in the first movie. Its much easier to navigate and the menus are more alive and animated. Overall a great movie adaptation of a fun book. This DVD will be sure to please fans of the movie and of the book.

Summary: Be bothered, be wildered, be witched
Review: It's better than the first movie. Harry Potter discover trouble on his second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He goes sneaking out during classes to try and discover the mystry. He goes to a fear of spiders to find the ancient mystry and does an ancient clue to follow the spiders. The house elf Dobby looks like one of the creatures in The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers. Pretty violent for kids under 5 years old, but it's good for 9 year olds.

Summary: Chris Colombus has out done himself again
Review: The first movie was true to the book. The second movie was even better. I am in love with the movie and books of harry potter. WB is going to be swimming in millions and millions just by this buisness. I loved every minute of this movie. I screamed in alot of the parts because things just jumped out of nowhere. It was so much fun just watching it. This movie is one of the best. When you watch it, it speaks for itself. Enjoy this movie and I know you will.

Summary: Almost Perfect...!
Review: I've readed the 4 books, and I have to say I'm delighted. My personal opinion is that Daniel (Harry), in the first movie, have trouble with the expression of his face; don't get me wrong, he is good, but he can do better; he in the first movie, blinks only one eye, all the time, wich is anoying; My personal favorite actor is Rupert (Ron). He is all that Daniel (Harry) isn't; he moves his mouth in one side and put his eyebrows up, and you know that he is upset, scared, etc. And Emma (Hermaione) learned to express her feelings just by her eyes, she was superb in her rol. Now then, regretting very much that Richard Harris (Dumbledore) has departed this world, he leave a very hard rol to fill, in wich he plays superbly. All and all, this movie is worth your money, although the casing shoud be much better than the flimsy carton in wich came packed. I highly recommed this movie.

Summary: Poor show
Review: In a nutshell: Chris Colombus can't direct for toffee. This is a dreadful rendering of a damn good read. Acting: By and large, dreadful - as you would expect from twelve year olds, but very disappointing from the support cast of adult, eminence grises of the British acting establishment. Coherence: poor - no one can blame Colombus for being unimaginative in his transfer of the book to the screen (to do otherwise would be to be crucified by a lynch mob of 9 year olds), but the transfer at least needs to make sense. This does not. Much of the plot was explained retrospectively by helpful, heavy-handed soliloquy, and even then wasn't awfully clear. And that's to someone who's read the book. Dramatic tension: non-existent - The final showdown, which should have been edge of seat-gripping stuff, was simply dull: We have no empathy for Harry, no sense of who the villain really is (can't Voldemort do better than manifest himself in a hologram of an effete 16 year old?), what is at stake, why Ron Weasly's sister is there, and what the point of the Phoenix is (other than as a pretty ... plot device to dig Harry out of a sticky situation. Rowling's books are real page-turning Ripping Yarns, which are why they've sold so well. Colombus failed totally to import this onto this second film (the first was much better). Finally - and this is partly Rowling's fault, as she wrote the books this way - it's terribly formulaic, and in execution is derivative of a number of other classic B-grade movies (ET, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Star Wars amongst them). Not destined for great things come Oscar time, methinks.
