Summary: On everyone's Top Ten List
Review: "The Princess Bride" simply personifies charm. Maybe once every decade does such an honest and appealing "feel-good" movie (and I loath that term) accomplish its task without simply pulling at the heart strings. TPB entertains on all levels -- acting, plot, comedic value -- it's an instant classic. I believe people have embraced this film not simply because it made them laugh or made them feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but, rather because people long for the simpler, warmer, less-cynical time that "The Princess Bride" creates. Yet, Rob Reiner and William Goldman foster a somewhat self-aware attitude throughout the film that reminds us that our current age is really not that different from the land of fairy tales. We see parts of us in all the characters. This is a movie for the ages.

Summary: The Perfect Fairy Tale!
Review: I have loved this movie ever since I first saw it. It was my favorite movie growing up, and still is today. The reason it is my favorite is because I have yet to see another movie which can even compare to this film. It is a romantic love story with action, suspense, and loads of humor. It is thouroughly entertaining and pleasurable to watch. If you have never seen this movie, you are missing out on something great.

Summary: Longing, is a term!
Review: I am a 16 year old guy that has been watching this film since the crawling age! I wrote my subject "Longing is a term," Because I long to know why there aren't more films like this one? I love it as much as any other -Have you noticed every one has given 5 stars? Please do your self a favor and get this- if your dating- get this if your a parent- Ask for it for your B'day or christmas! It stomps Titanic into a titanic flop! It makes you wanna waltz up to De Caprio and say, "Hah, beat that you wart hog faced bafoon!" It is "Iconcievable!" I have seen this movie dozens of times and still I found my own self so fascinated yesterday that I watched it twice again - I wouldn't lie! Can you explain it? PS- It does have some violence and 3 curse words. But you will soon be easy to remember where they are, and mute them, so your kids can hear it clean through and through. It still is squeeky amazingly clean for a "way past" 70's film. Its "Inconcievable!" I keep using that word - I do not think it mins' what I think it Mins'. PS2- Buttercup is Jenny from Forrest Gump!

Summary: You have to get the soundtrack by Mark Knopfler
Review: Besides all of the positive comments I read in the other reviews, I would add that you have to get the soundtrack. The music in this film was composed by Mark Knopfler (of Dire Straits fame) and the short snippets of the music in the movie are only a small taste of some really fine music. I have a disc called "Screenplaying" which includes music he wrote for three other movies as well. It is one of my favorite CD's. I have given it to at least six friends. All have enjoyed it immensely. Get the movie, get the soundtrack and enjoy both.

Summary: One of our favorites from age 7 to 40 in our house!
Review: From the first time we saw this, it has been one of my favorite movies. We quote more lines from this movie in everyday life than we do from any other movie. I would highly recommend it for anyone 12 and up. For kids 12 and under - I would recommend an adult watching it with them the first time as there are two scenes which are pretty scary. Enjoy!
