Summary: Drop Your Sword!!!!!!!!!
Review: I was ten years old when I saw this film back in 1987 and since then I have seen it at least 1,000 times. I am not kidding. This is my favorite film of all time. This is the film that changed my life. Because of it I am going to film school and studying film and video editing. I praise everyone who worked on it and I love Cary Elwes. If you haven't seen this film then do it now, I mean Westley is just a farmboy and Buttercup is beautiful, don't you want to see how it ends? I think I am going to go watch it right now. By the way see it letterboxed if you can! Fencing, fighting, chases, escapes, true love, miracles.

Summary: MY FAVORITE MOVIE & BOOK IN THE WHOLE WORLD!
Review: I luv this movie! I know the whole thing inside out, and I quote from it whenvever I can! It's easier to understand if you've read the book, but actually watching the movie made me read the book. (I didn't even realize there was no such person as S. Morgenstern until my sis told me!) It's just the best movie in the entire world! If anyone is in doubt to buy it, well, you can read the book and see how wonderful it is! I watched it for the first time when i was 9, and who the "man in black" was and everything else was more of surprise for me then.) I can't even have a party without watching this movie! I strongly recommend you watch it if you haven't! I luv this movie!

Summary: Among My Top 5
Review: This is by far one of the best movies made in the 80's. It has everything, just like Peter Faulk says, "fencing, fighting..." I love this film.

Summary: Exciting, heartwarming and deliciously funny
Review: I can't actually remember how many times I have seen this movie, but it only gets better and better. It's impossible to pick out the "one" actor who impressed because all of them did a remarkable job. The characters come to life in this movie and steal you away for a most hilarious and pleasurable ride.

Summary: A traggic love ending in a very subtle happy ending !
Review: I have seen this very wonderful film 4 years ago when I glanced at the old movies shelf, I pick it up and rented it. I wathched the movie more than a hundred times and I even both the whole video for my own personal collection.

The story started with an ordinary farm boy named Westley who was so gentle and kind and was in love with Buttercup left to find a better fortune outside their town. Buttercup on the other hand was told of a sad news that Westley her beloved died and killed by the Dread Pirate Roberts. She was forced to live in the Castle with Prince Humperdinck and when one day she was riding her horse, she was attacked and kidnapped by three men, one giant, one medium sixed swashbuckling man and a tiny old bald egocentric man.

Not so very long after the incident, a masked swashbuckling hero in dark tight clothes appeard and started to follow the kidnappers through different places and the adventure began.

At last the Masked hero, succeeded and when him and Buttercup were alone, he reveald himself. The mysterious masked hero was no other than his beloved Westley.

Meanwhile , in the Castle, Prince Humperdinck also did his own search and rescue for The Princess Buttercup. Along the way, it was found out that the mastermind who ordered the capture of Princess Buttercup was Prince Humperdinck, but there was a failure because The Princess Buttercup still lives.

He searched again and was able to capture Westley, he killed him and the wedding in the castle was about to push through. Meanwhile the giant and the other man help to revive Westley from death. They asked the help of an old couple who hated Humperdinck. Westley was revived but he could not cary his own weight that's why they carried him all the way to the castle.

Swashbuckling adventure began and good won over evil. Humperdinck was tied in his chair and Westley and Buttercup together with the two, giant and the medium man rode to freedom in their horses.

before the story ends, the two lovers gave each other a very pure and true love kiss.

The end.

This was the most beautiful movie that I haave ever seen in my entire human life! I give this not just 100 % excellent but 101 % and even more. If there is anyone who was not able to see this film, he missed 1/2 of his life.....

Summary: ONLY 5 STARS? THIS IS A 10!
Review: It's always surprising to discover someone not familiar with quotes from THE PRINCESS BRIDE. How can there be anyone who hasn't seen this movie yet? For those who have seen it numerous times (as our family has) you need to locate and buy the book THE PRINCESS BRIDE by William Goldman. Afterwards, you'll want to watch the movie yet again and again once you learn of the deeper subtleties of the events and characters and their personal histories. This movie can't come out on DVD (and Widescreen) fast enough to satisfy its' fans! Where is it?

Summary: Loved the Movie-Read the book!!
Review: The Princess Bride is, indeed, one of the best movies ever (it has everything, after all), but It's even better when you read the book in companion. Like Fezzik? You missed his life story! Inigo? (You'll cry!) As for the movie, it's one of the truest, funniest adaptations of a novel ever written and the cast is perfect (especially Mandy Patinkin and, yes, Andre the Giant). Definitly a must-see
