Summary: It's the greatest best friend movie ever made !!
Review: I went to see this movie with my daughter who at the time was pregnant. We cried all the way through it and couldn't wait to buy it and I'm glad it's finally coming out.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is a movie everyone in the world should see!!!
Review: "Simon Birch" is one of the best, if not THE best, movies I have seen. I attended it with my son's special ed teacher. We both laughed, and wept, throughout it. This movie shares some valuable lessons that everyone should know: 1)that everyone, no matter their disabilities, has a meaning and a purpose for being here on earth. 2)That we all have disabilities, but not all of us have ones that show on the outside. 3)That spirituality and faith are not always the same as "religion". 4)That by helping and loving others, we can forget about our own problems. This movie was beautifully acted and directed. There is not one negative thing I could say about it. I plan to watch it regularly, whenever life's doubts and little trials start to weigh me down. Any parent of a special needs child, as I am, should most definitely see it. It will give you joy for your journey, and inspiration to help your child reach his potential.

Summary: One of the best movies I've seen in years

Review: I simply loved the movie. My little brother was a "Stunt Double" for Simon.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: a five hanky movie
Review: As a mother of a special needs child, I try to support most efforts done to broaden the public perception of children with different learning styles and disabilities. The young man in this movie outshone his differences you might notice at first. I have never been so moved by a movie and its direct and latent content. I cried, I laughed, and I felt the joy of the characters. I must admit that the young man who played Simon Burch compleyely outshone the other actors. He may be a small person in stature, but his talent and skill are gigantic. I am pleased that a child with a disability is in a starring role. He dispels fears and prejudices by showing us that every child, regardless of thie challenges has much to offer. Gather up your hankies and prepare to weep. It's denitely a tear jerker. And this is NOT just a chick flick, guys. Men can identify with this movie, because of its message about men as boys, friendships, love and loss. Messages we can ALL understand.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Incredible...Quite a tear jerker

Review: Based on the book by John Irving "A Prayer for Owen Meany". I loved this movie, I have the soundtrack and in the middle of reading the book. It's a grat story about friendship and is also very funny. The soundtrack is also grat it's all songs from 50's and early 60's. Please read the book, buy the movie and the soundtrack.

Summary: One of the best movies of the year
Review: I can't say enough good things about this movie. It was touching and powerful. Makes you both grateful for what have and leaves you with a feeling that you aren't doing enough with the gifts you have been given. A heartwarming tale of courage and friendship.

Summary: Another Irving movie
Review: People often say that the book is better than the movie, and it holds true again with 'Simon Birch', the movie version of his novel 'A Prayer for Owen Meany'.
Owen Meany may be his best book ever because it is so rich with biblical themes. In the movie these come back, but of course not in full detail. Time does not permit it.
It's still an interesting story and funny at times. You have to be really carefull in listening to the things that are said because they are all important.

Simon (God knows why they changed his name for the movie, you would guess that more people would recognize a movie with the same title as the book) is a dwarf with a weird voice. His best friend's mother is his psychological mother too. The mother (Judd) is very pretty and nice. Through a strange accident she dies and a new person comes in Joe's and Owen's life, his mother;s boyfriend Ben (the always great Oliver Platt). A search for Joe's father ensues and he finally finds out...

Not as funny as 'Garp' or as good as 'Cider House Rules' I am afraid only real Irving fans will enjoy the movie.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Must Have for Every Family Movie Collection
Review: My children and I laughed a cried throughout this whole movie.

With so much sex and violence out there, it's hard to find a good family movie...
This is a great movie. It's well acted, has a great plot and a great message of love in every form.

You have to get this movie.
