Rating: Summary: My favorite movie!!!! Review: This is my favorite movie of all time!! It is funny, heartwarming, loving and just a wonderful film. The actors are so great and everything is done perfectly!!!
Rating: Summary: A funny, touching, and wonderfully uplifting film. Review: I thought Simon Burch was a marvelous film full of laughter and tears. Simon is my hero. He reminds us all that God does have a plan for us, we just need to wait and see. Beautifully acted, this film creates such rich characterizations that the viewer will love them forever.
Rating: Summary: Very touching and courageous movie of the year!!! Review: A very heart warming story of two friendship that they will both cherrish a life time.... That can make us feel how good friends are really important in our lives.I didn't even expect that the movie will be this nice that makes me laughed and most of all cry from the beginning of the story up to the end. This movie was the best comedy-drama of the year.

Rating: Summary: The most touching, emotional movie I have ever seen! Review: Simon Birch was the most touching, emotional movie I have ever seen. So emotional, I used a whole box of tissues. Be prepared. I have to say that this is probably the best movie I have ever seen. It is definetly a five star movie.
Rating: Summary: A film that beckons to be seen over and over again. Review: My family and I were curious about this one after seeing promo ads on another video we had rented - so we rented Simon Birch as part of a family video night together. Although we were put off by some of the language at first (and had to apologize to our six year old who was watching it with us), we were all moved to tears through many scenes. Little Simon knew all along he was a hero and he proved it too. We recommend this film highly. We will be buying a DVD of it to keep in our own film library.
Rating: Summary: One of our all-time favorites. Review: I suspect that the unspoken problem many critics had with this film was the portrayal of faith and God in a positive light. Definitely not PC in the 90's. Simon Birch is not without his faults, but you have to love a guy who can debate so effectively with his Sunday School teacher and priest. Watch the movie with an open mind. There is much to learn about ourselves, our attitudes towards faith and toward those whose understanding of faith is different from ours. Simon Birch accomplishes this with style, warmth, and humor. My wife and I loved the book ("A Prayer for Owen Meany") and we loved this movie. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: this is thee funniest, and saddest movie ever. Review: i laughed, i cried. This is one of the greatest movies of all time. This is a good movie for a couple to sit down and watch. Of course, if you are by yourself, it would still be a great movie. I can't wait to heear thee soundtrack, either.
Rating: Summary: This was so well done! Review: Not only was this movie well-casted, the screenplay was excellent as well! This movie had me sobbing throughout it, because the author really allowed me to get to know and literally love the characters! You really can't find too many negetive things to say. Ashley Judd played an excellent part, as well did Simon Birch and Joe Mazzallo.(sp?) I'd like to see more movies rely on story lines and acting rather than special effects! "Time is a monster that cannot be reasoned with. It responds like a snail to our inpatients, then it races like a gazelle when you can't catch your breath." - from the movie "Simon Birch"
Rating: Summary: SEE THIS MOVIE! Review: This is one of those times where I absolutely despise the movie reviewing process. The reviews I read for this film were mixed and unfortunately I listened to some of the cynics who lashed out at the sentimental nature of this film. I hate the fact that I missed seeing this film on the big screen because of those naysayers. This is NOT A Prayer For Owen Meany (an excellent novel) what it is, is an entirely original creation that deserves so much more attention that it ever got. One day this film will be seen as a classic. In the same way that "It's a Wonderful Life" was misunderstood and vilified by some critics, so will this film be appreciated later on by the critics and audiences who didn't give it the chance it deserves. Thank you, Ian Michael Smith, for showing us your heart and soul. And thank you, Mark Steven Johnson, for listening to your heart and making the film you chose to make.
