Summary: Christmas Has A New Hero, St. Grinch
Review: Big-screen, live action retelling of a classic children's tale profiles a nasty, furry creature who ruins a towns holidays by stealing everyone's presents.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: One more bad, bad movie
Review: This movie is so utterly unwatchable that we were unable to finish it. It terrified our daughter and repulsed everyone else. The main problem here is that the Grinch story is fairly simple -- it takes about 20 minutes to develop and resolve the entire plot. That meant Ronnie had about 100 additional minutes to fill up with mindless garbage, less-than-funny jokes and bathroom humor. The only conceivable use for this movie might be as fraternity house viewing, but I question whether one could even consume enough alcohol to make it enjoyable. I wish it were possible to give this no stars.

Summary: A Wonderfully Delightful Movie!
Review: I took my children to this movie the first day it came out and absolutely loved it. Not only for the film itself but also for hearing my three daughters giggling throughout the show. When it was released on DVD we immediately went out and bought it. For the past two days they must have watched it a dozen times.

What makes this film stand out is Jim Carrey. Now mind you, I am not a big Jim Carrey fan. With the exception of the Truman Show I find his movies to be dumb and repetitive. So I was a little concerned about this as being just another vehicle for Carrey to be himself. This movie works because his portrayal of the Grinch fits his humor and also makes you forget he's the one playing him. The plot is loosely based on the great Dr. Suess book but very embellished. For instance there is a flashback scene that explains who the Grinch is and how he became the way he is. The scenery is great, the make-up superb, and the humor extremely funny. My favorite scene is the hodrod sled taking off.

I would recommend this to any family looking for a great holiday flick.

Summary: Crude, Rude, Ridiculous
Review: This is not for kids. Was Jim Carrey ad libbing his way through the movie? For two hours? The humor is either for juveniles, or non-existent. The Grinch's antics are rude and off-putting. The story-line is poor. What a horrible thing to do to the classic animated Grinch.

Summary: Refreshing!
Review: I think this movie was absolutely wonderful! I am not a big fan of Jim Carrey's but I was pleasantly surprised (to say the least) at his fantastic portrayal of "The Grinch". There is not much negative that can be said for this movie... even after seeing it you didn't enjoy the acting itself you still had to walk away thinking you enjoyed it. The scenery, is so colorful, and refreshing!. Whooville is absolutely breathtaking. It is like something you would see on a Christmas Card, with all of the colors and the snow... I thought it was marvelous, and I can't wait until my order gets here!

Summary: Christmas in Whooville
Review: The Grinch is intended to be entertaining and not entirely thought provoking! Dr. Seuss' original it is not, but few movies ever capture the essence of the original. Enjoy the movie for its intended purpose and don't be a GRINCH. "Christmas doesn't come from a store.....Perhaps Christmas means a little bit more............" Tis the season to be jolly.........Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night...

Summary: If you love the Grinch, this is for you
Review: Watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas every Christmas is a tradition to my family, we do it every year. So when I found out Jim Carey was starring in a new version of my favorite Christmas tale, I knew I had to go so it. So in mid-December last year my mom and I went to see it. I tell you, some people may think that it takes away the joy of the story but I loved it. I'm not the type that can't stand remakes, I usually like them just as good, or better. This goes a little bit further than the original story but it still has everything in it. Definitely a must for any Grinch fan.
