Rating: Summary: All You Need Is Love... Review: We will be seeing the second Stuart Little film in the theatre. I hope it is as strong a family picture as this film. This film shows that all you need to make a family of humans and an adopted mouse work is love. When Stuart the mouse is adopted by his human family he has several obstacle to overcome and it is not easy but with love and understanding he quickly becomes a true member of the family. This film is good for young children but the whole family will enjoy it.
Rating: Summary: Great Human Interest Movie Review: I thought this Movie was just kid's stuff, but when I saw it at HBO-I realized how wrong my preconceived notion was. Stuart Little is a story of great human interest. On the surface, it appears like its made for children because the cast include animals led by my favorite protagonist, the mouse Stuart Little. For children, it is simple happy entertainment feature but I think, for adults, it is of great human interest because the animals (e.g. cats and the mouse Stuart Little really personify people's nature. The movie serves as man's mirror of himself-its very effective for self-evaluation and change. I think movies that have animals portraying human characteristics are the most objective means of letting people know with what they are identified with, to determine if there are some things in themselves that need to change in order for them to be useful members of society. This evaluation of the content of the movies is based on my analysis of the real substance of Stuart Little's story. Overall, its a very nice movie for general patronage- very wholesome and relaxing. Congratulations to the producers and all those involved in making Stuart Little - please have more like this-the pressured world need some therapy like this one.
Rating: Summary: Nothing little here... This is a big film. Review: STUART LITTLE came to the local multi-plex with only the standard fanfare that accompanies the thousands of quickly forgotten family films. And, although it is not a extremely intellectual film, it delivers in many areas. It is the story of a young orphaned mouse, Stuart (Voiced by Michael J Fox), who is adopted by human parents (Geena Davis and Hugh Laurie). He has initial conflicts with his 'brother' George (Jonathan Lipnickie), who expected a little human for a brother. They get their relationship cleared up but Stuart still has problem with the family cat. Snowbell (voiced by Nathan Lane) teams with some street cats to have Stuart 'scratched'. The whole film has a unique reality under the direction of Rob Minkoff (THE LION KING). When Stuart is first introduced to the LITTLE family, a typical Hollywood story would create conflict immediately but the LITTLE family embraces Stuart after a short reluctance. There are several fun adult roles from the likes of Jeffrey Jones and Brian Doyle Murray. The voice acting of Chazz Palmenteri and Meg Tilly are also a blast. The special effects are top notch. Overall, the film is great for families although might be a bit of a bore for the over twelve year old set. Interestingly, the screenplay was written partly by M Night Shyamalan, (THE SIXTH SENSE, UNBREAKABLE, WIDE AWAKE) and is worthy of acknowledgement. The DVD has a great audio/video transfer and includes some interactive play for the kids as well as production commentary for the film student.
Rating: Summary: the best Review: I think Stuart little is excellent and very cute! From my 3 yr old sister till my father, everyone enjoyed it. It showes how ever much you hate a member of your family, you will still save him/her if he/she is in trouble!
Rating: Summary: A Sure-Favorite At the Day Care!! Review: This is one of the Most Requested movies at our Day Care Center and certainly one of my personal favorites!! Everybody in the movie is wonderful....Mr. and Mrs. Little (Geena Davis is really great!!), big brother George, SnowBell, the impostor Mom & Dad Mouse Family, everybody is great, just I really can't stand Stuart that much!! GASP!! Maybe it is just that he is so naive. He jus thinks everybody loves him. Or maybe it is just that he is so stupid as to think that the Little's were so glad to get rid of him they cut his picture out and he believes SnowBell. I know, I know, that is the WHOLE POINT OF THE STORY, but it bothers me a little. So I give 'Stuart Little' 4 Stars, and well, maybe 4 and a Half.
Rating: Summary: 4 stars to the mouse with the house Review: I received this movie as a birthday gift from my 4 year old nephew, who picked it out himself. I watched it for the first time with him and I must say, I was pleased. I've loved movies since I was a tot and it makes me happy that they are still making great movies for little ones. This one is enchanting. It's all about the adventures of Stuart Little, a little orphan who is finally picked to be adopted. It goes through the stages of his life after he is adopted and learning to understand that being different is ok. It's a heartwarming tale with a happy ending. A classic tale for anyone, and a great addition to your home video collection.
Rating: Summary: Buy this today!! Review: This is a great film, the graphics are awesome. Michael J. Fox IS Stuart. Who would not want to adopt him. The Little's go to adopt a boy and bring home a mouse instead. The look on George's face when he meets his "brother" is priceless!(he just knows that his parents have lost their minds!) How they all come together as a family is a wonderful to watch. All of the extra features that are available on the DVD are great, seeing how they make Stuart talk etc.... Buy it!!!
Rating: Summary: Cute film--but without the deleted scene on VHS... Review: "Stuart Little" is a cutesy family film (which was, weirdly, coscripted with M. Night Shaylaman, who made the superbly suspenseful "The Sixth Sense") which is based loosely on the entertaining book by E.B. White. It's downsized from the book for a happy ending--but not too downsized to become corny and boring. Geena Davis, finally breaking off from her worst movie and TV roles, to a much more likable--not to mention BETTER--role as Mrs. Little, while Johnathan Lipniski is ever as cute as Stuart's older brother. Michael J. Fox is the perfect voice to voice tiny Stuart Little, and Nathan Lane is the voice as the eeevil Snowbell the cat. Despite the film's promising elements, the movie would have been more enjoyable if they hadn't cut the restaurant dance scene from the VHS version. It's a lively, yet memorable scene that shouldn't have been left on the cutting room floor and on the DVD version. But it's entertaining still without the restaurant dance sequence. Rated PG for brief language.
Rating: Summary: Good film for familes. Review: First, I have to admit that I had never heard of Jonthan Lipnicki before I saw this movie for the first time in the summer of 20000. And he was in or done a voice in 2 movies before this one. But that didn't stop me from enjoying this movie. And it's hard to think that now Jonthan Lipnicki turned 11 years old on October 22nd (this year). Watch this along with Shrek.
