Summary: Not Rated
Review: This is a good movie that my daughter enjoys and would love to share with her friends at preschool; unfortunately, this move is "Not Rated". Seems like a simple thing to do--too bad for Barbie, Artisan, and FHE :-(

Summary: This STINKS
Review: This is even worse than Hamtaro and the Ham-hams. I got this for rent for my sister, 7, who is sort of obsessed with Barbie, and she couldn't be bothered to watch the beginning. I couldn't bear to watch anymore, so I tried to take it out, and it messed up my DVD player, I swear there was some sort of bug. This is awful, and you have to be crazy to rent this, and insane to buy this.

Summary: Barbie as Rapunzel
Review: This is one of the best videos I have ever seen for young children. My four-year-old granddaughter was entranced! The story line was relatively easy to follow, and Barbie was absolutely facinating as she magically created a dress with her magic wand. Oh, how little girls wish they had a wand like that to do the same! My granddaughter has watched the video time and time again. We are purchasing "Rapunzel" toys for Christmas!

Summary: a disgrace to the original fairy tale
Review: This movie has nothing to do with the original brothers grimm fairy tale. Although the animation is all pretty and pink, the movie doesn't even come close to the rapunzel story. It was slamming the tale so much, I'm sure the brothers grimm would be turning in their graves by now. If your looking for the real fairy tale try the shelley duvall fairy tale theatres they at least stay true to the original.

Summary: I really can't decide.....
Review: This movie is great as much as The Nutcracker and Swan Lake. It really hard to pick. They're all wonderful and fascinating.

Summary: Very impressed
Review: This was the first of the three Barbie movies I watched. I loved this little family film, and it inspired me to watch the other two, although, Rapunzel still remains my favorite (and the only one I own the dvd of).

Honestly, I never liked the original Rapunzel story (a bit silly)and when I sat down to watch this with my niece and nephew, I was not looking forward to another cornball children's show. The changes made to the story were definate improvements
I think.

I was very happy with it and the kids love it too!

My nephew (4 years old) likes the movie eventhough he is a boy, I would probably not expect this dvd to be in a single man's collection, but to everyone else with kids, you'll enjoy it. Nothing not to like really, just a simple, clean, fun movie for the young and the young at heart.

I hope they continue to make barbie movies that are more fantasy story oriented (like Rapunzel) rather than the other two ballet based films in which I found the long dancing scenes to be a bit nausiating, takes away from the film I think.

Summary: Wonderfully Enchanting
Review: We bought Barbie in the Nutcracker last year, and we enjoyed it so much. So this year we bought Barbie as Rapunzel. My little ones have loved watching this every day. If you are looking for a colorful and entertaining yet magical show for your little one, this dvd is the best. We will watch this the year through.

Summary: a review from a 5 and a half year old
Review: we rented this video for our little girl and she loved it! Even her father and I actually watched it to see what would happen in the end. Our daughter liked Barbie's magic paintbrush the best. She also liked it because it showed the consequences between a lying heart and a true heart - you have to watch it to find out! We're sure you and your family will enjoy it!

Summary: Absolutely charming!
Review: What a great movie for any age! This film is entertaining, beautiful, and offers valuable lessons of loyalty, honesty, creativity, etc. This is so well done - our daughters were completely taken with the characters, and we were thrilled with the way the writers allowed these characters to be examples of how to be self assured yet helpful, kind and thoughtful. Everything about this movie was well done.

It looks like Barbie may be picking up where Disney left off a few years ago!
