Rating: Summary: Sooooooooooo Cute!!!!! Review: An amazing sequal to Disney's Cinderella. Showing the mice's views of thing that happen in the castle, including run-ins with the cat, they give us another storie to call Happily Ever After!
Rating: Summary: Disney should stop making Sequels Review: When is Disney going to learn that you can't make sequels to classics. They should have left Cinderella alone and let her live happily ever after. Instead, they made a sequel and Cinderella didn't even look like herself! The voices didn't match, the storyline (or lack of) was extremely poor and I still can't figure out why on earth they decided to make this film. No interesting plot and you saw the Prince all of two minutes the entire movie. Don't waste your money and buy this film. You'll never watch it again after the first viewing.
Rating: Summary: Why don't they take advantage of animation advances? Review: I rented this one -- thank goodness! -- because my daughter REALLY wanted to see it, and I thought my two sons would enjoy it as well. Was I wrong! The storyline is similar to the disaster of Beauty & the Beast Christmas -- three "shorts" that are put together to make a new movie, instead of a complete storyline. The bonuses of it are: they have tried to stay in keeping with the "canon" of the original movie -- characters look similar, etc. The music is enjoyable (apparently) for children. My daughter (11) especially liked it. The mice were back. The sore spot: the animation is terrible! The faces are blurred and undefined. I assume they attempted to keep them "equal" to the animation of the original film, but I, for one, would have been quite pleased to see a little more detail. My older son (4) stood up and walked away from the TV. His comment: The girls are all ugly! He did eventually sit down to watch the rest of the film. A good film, magical and better the more you watch it, definitely, but the animation is deplorable. Regarding the DVD quality? Very good. I think it makes the lack of detailing of the character's faces look even worse. I found myself squinting the whole time trying to make out non-existent features. The sound is nicely done, too, though the music is not about to compare to either the classics that Disney himself used or the later music of The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, or Tarzan.
Rating: Summary: Don't judge at first glance... Review: This movie was bothering me because I loved the first Cinderella and it looked just as wonderful as the first one. I kept wanting to buy it but kept seeing the price rise and eventually gave into it. Anyway, I watched it the first time and wasn't too impressed...there was a really adorable scene between Lucifer and the other female white fat cat...Lucifer falls for her and there's about a 2 minute scene where lucifer is at the bottom of the stair case looking up at the other cat but that is just about as far as it goes. I really didn't like the whole "Jack turning into Sir Hue" thing...that was kind of dumb...okay, REALLY dumb! I would have rather seen the princess have a baby or something sweet like that. A lot of the same phrases "zug zug" were used from the original which was cool and eventually the voices even sorta half sounded like the original ones. The animation wasn't nearly as good as the original but then Disney sequels rarely are. Bottom line? It's a children's movie! Most adults aren't going to be too amused with it at first! But give it a chance! After spending a lot of money on a 1 hour DVD watch it more than once...don't give up on it. I began to love it. I still don't approve of some of the music (too harsh/pop) and some of the sayings (This hair *ewww!* --valley girl accent--) but it really is a cute movie once you've watched it two or three times. I like to do homework to it because it is a noise in the background that doesn't take a lot of attention to understand. Anyway, don't judge it at first glance...give it a chance! It really is cute.
Rating: Summary: Mediocre in every respect... Review: ...as pointed out in some of the other reviews the movie has little to do with Cinderella...the animation is as bad as what you get on commercial TV Saturday morning...the music...well, let's just not even go there...just an embarassing attempt by Disney to exploit a classic in order to fatten their earnings report.
Rating: Summary: After watching this video for about 6 times, I like it! Review: I was wrong about this movie! It really has a great messages for children! I say buy this video for your child to watch this. I still feel that the voices could have been a lot better then what they are, but you know! I think Disney should have made a soundtrack to this movie as well. I feel that this movie is great for children! Adults may find it a little boring but try and get used to it! THANX! :)
Rating: Summary: I enjoyed this movie! This movie could have been better. . . Review: ...I believe that this film could have been better with the animation and the voices. The stories could have been told better. I believe they should have made this part II into all short stories that would have been cooler for the little kids. In all I believe that the stories were great. I feel that if Disney wants to make all of these sequels, spend more time on them! Do not just draw the movie and throw it out without a good plot and at least make the voices match! I still enjoyed this movie! However my niece did tell me to turn it off and she is only three lol, but still! :)
Rating: Summary: Great for kids; no pleasure for Disney funs. Review: I cannot even compare this sequel to the original Cinderella story I watched as kid years ago. The three short stories, which are a base for the new movie, are pretty shallow, the music and songs are rather ordinary, and the cartoons and animation worst than the poorest anime movie (nothing against the anime gender). On the other hand, my 3 year-old girl loved the movie and watched it probably a hundred times. She enjoys the simple and light story (in comparison to original one overshadowed by cruel stepmother), laughs with mice running around, and sings with Fairy GodMother. I must admit, I prefer to see my daughter laughing and learning about friendship and forgiveness (Cinderella helping Anastasia to discover true feelings for the other human being), than scuttling around, and asking me to speed forward the scenes of fear and cruelty, one can find in so many present day and older (Disney) children movies.
Rating: Summary: Worst sequel ever!!!! Review: I bought this video because I loved the first Cinderella, I was very watchfull of the release date because I didn't want to miss it. I wish I had... All the other sequels to Disney classics have been very good, but this one isn't even a sequel; it's three different short stories that don't have anything to do with the original. I was bored after the first 30 minutes of the film (that has never happened to me before with a Disney movie). The animation is awful and the stories are boring, the only story in which Cinderella is the main character is the first one and she plays a secondary character in the other two (this is supposed to be a Cinderella video). I regret not renting the video before buying it, it's money wasted that I could have used buying another one. I can't believe it's a Disney video. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING??????? I hope the people in charge of sequels pay more attention to the quality of the film (animation, story, etc.) so we don't get another one like this.
