Review: Although my son, now 5, cannot assemble a Bionicle without help, he has loved having them & asked for the Mask of Light for Christmas. He asks for it to be his "TV show" selection in the evening at least twice a week & loves to "recite" the intro along with the narrator.

Review: Before I watched the movie my sister thought Bionicles were dumb.After she wanted to get Hahali and Gali-nuva!My favorite part was when the Toa-Nuva came together to battle the Rahkshi.
The only problems are the deleted scenes barley had sound and Lewa-Nuva's accent!Overall,buy it!

Review: Besides reading the other reviews here I didn't really know what to expect from this movie. I was very pleasantly suprised how well done this movie is. It's a movie that the entire family can enjoy (yes even the parents) and you can tell the people involved knew how to handle the material.I have to agree with the other reviewers though that the voice given to Lewa was all wrong. The extras on the DVD are also nice and give more backround info into the Bionicle world. Even if you are new to the Bionicle scene or know nothing about it at all you will not be let down by this fine feature.

Summary: It's what we have all been waiting for...
Review: but has the waiting been in vain? Certainly not! Well, if you are a Bionicle fan you have da' bomb of a movie. But if you are not...Best go over to Bionicle.Com and get an idea of the characters, the places, the secrets...because it starts off like Two Towers for those of you who never saw the first, or read the books. There is no recap on the recent events of the "world" the lego group had made for itself in Bionicle. Obviously without it being released I cannot say much about the music or animation. But by taking the idea presented by previews, screenshots, and the early-released book, I can get a good idea. It added a lot, but basically it just started over from the beginning. So what if the 2001 enemy is returning, not originally taking his dark throne. So what if the heroes have been transformed into something with new powers. It is basically the beginning again, with only a few differences. Two young heroes, a historian called Takua, and an officer called Jaller in a defense force for a mysterious island are on a quest to find the owner of a potent amulet called the Avhokki. Only the owner can wield the ancient powers of light and put an end to the mysterious and tyranical entity known only as Makuta. The repition and the no-recap are the main, and only flaws. Great animation,(if they use what they always have), good music, and strong storyline make this a 4 Stars.

Summary: An amazing adventure-little ones will love this
Review: For over a year now my 5 year old has been passionate about his Bionicles (an imaginative Lego building toy with a storyline that marched it's way into the super hero category virtually over night) My son LOVES this movie. We've had it for 3 days now and this is the 3rd night we've watched it together. I like it as well; FINALLY something "cool" for little guys you don't have to worry about being excessively violent or "stupid" There are no guns, but there's action to keep the little ones rivited and cheering for the good guys. There is a story to follow that my son already was aquainted with, (we have read a couple of the books.) But even with this knowledge, the movie was still an amazing adventure....AND even if you know NOTHING about Bionicles, you'll enjoy it as well The movie is beautifully done and just right for a sophisticated little guy or gal that's into super heros (and any adult who loves anything sci-fi) The opening scene alone (Lava surfing) is worth the price of the DVD alone! Please note, the bad guy "Makuta" may be a little scarey for a few little ones. However my son, who was frightened by the sharks in "NEMO" (just a couple of weeks ago) didn't flinch once at Makuta in this movie. He didn't find Makuta scarey at all!!! All I know is that we BOTH were rivited by the movie first time around and we still discover things to watch and talk about each time we view it. Get the books; the offical guide is especially helpful for learning the history, characters, decoding the language, etc,(and how to pronounce their names!) I hope Lego doesn't stop here with....Bionicles.

Summary: An amazing adventure-for the whole family
Review: For over a year now my 6 year old has been passionate about Lego's Bionicles (an imaginative building toy with a storyline that marched it's way into the super hero section virtually over night) My son LOVES this movie and the lego building toys. We've had the movie for 2 months now and there isn't a week that goes by that he doesn't watch it. And I have to admit....I like it as well; I really do. FINALLY something "cool" for little guys you don't have to worry about being excessively violent or "mindless" AND that you can enjoy as well. A pretty tall order these days. The classic struggle between good and evil will keep you and your little one(s) rivited. It's a lot of fun. The movie is exceptionally done. The graphics are nothing short of amazing. The opening scene alone (the Lava surfing by Toa Tahu) is worth the price of the DVD alone! Please note, the bad guy "Makuta" (and a few other creatures he sends after the Toa-the good guys) may be scarey for a few little ones, However my son, (who had been frightened by the sharks in "NEMO") didn't flinch once at Makuta in this movie. He didn't and still doesn't find Makuta scarey at all. Get the books: For one, the offical guide is a quick and easy reference book and is especially helpful for learning the history of Mata Nui, the background of each character, how to pronounce names, etc... The books that tell the full saga (currently there are 4) are great bedtime reading. I hope Lego doesn't stop here with the saga of the Bionicles.

Summary: A Movie at Last!
Review: From everything I've heard and seen about this movie. I think it's going to be worth the money, to say the least.
From what I've heard this movie is about the comming of the seventh toa, Taka(probably Nuva), the Toa of Light. There are six new enemies that Makuta has created, the Rashki. Since the the ToaNuva Defeated the BrorokKal, life on the island has been peaceful. Now these six new "Anti-Toa" are racing the ToaNuva to find the Mask of Light and prevent the Toa of Light from coming into existance. (Needless to say, they fail) Beyond that, I don't know what happens. But one thing that will make this movie worth is is that it's being done in photo reallistic Computer Animation. All I've got to say is it better not be a "LITTLE-kids" Movie. And Why the heck is it not being released in Theaters?

Review: I am a definite Bionicle fan. I have most of the products and all of the comics. When you watch this movie, you will be walking into the middle of an elaborate story line that they don't cover enough. This makes it hard to understand for some people. If you do know the story and like the franchise, you'll love the movie. I won't ruin the story for those of you who are trying to decide whether to buy it or not, but you should be prepared for some things that wont make sense. Pros:

Review: I am a Lego fan, even in my late 20`s. So I was excited when I heard about this movie. Now that I got it, here is my 2-cent-worth review. It is an entertaining little romp in the world of the Bionicle. Some kids were amazed to see their favourite toys brought to life onscreen. The animators manage to take some liberties in adding some features to the characters for obvious reasons (i.e. adding fingers to the hands, slight mask modifications to allow mouth movement...) while maintaining the spirit of the Bionicle. And the story is good for a kid-oriented movie. Adults would be able to watch it with their children without feeling bored. As pleasant this movie has been, there are a few issues that brought the score down. First is the art and animation. As great as it may be, I have found some of the design and scenarios to be uneven. An example would be a scene where a character pokes her head out of the water near the top of a waterfall. As the raging water comes rushing, the head does not seem to be affected by the flow of water. There is no water turbulence, splash or drag animated around the head. There is barely a ripple. After seeing the movie, I do not understand why more details where added, since the rest of the movie was of an above average quality. Also, the story seems to have some holes that do not explain certain plot details. Sometimes a character would just suddenly KNOW something out of the blue, without any explanation on how he/she got to that conclusion. At other times, heroes would conveniently appear during critical situations without explaining why and how. Things like this makes you scratch your head and wonder if you have missed something. After seeing the movies four times, I still do not have all my questions answered. But despite all this, the movie entertains us. The characters are more than cardboard, bland figures based on toys. They have emotions, personalities and behaviours that make you forget that this movie is based on a Lego product. The music is also well delivered, with a good quality orchestra. Although not memorable, the main theme may echo in your head for a while. In my book, for a first movie from Lego and Miramax, the producers did a good job. Here`s hoping that there will be more.
