Summary: One of the best Disney films ever.
Review: Disney has produced excellent children films, but I believe they have out done themselves with Mulan. I will continue to purchase Disney films for my children as long as they are prouduced.

Summary: Mulan was the best Disney our family has seen in years.
Review: Mulan was beautiful to see as well as really entertaining for adults as well as my children who are 4 and 7. The song by Donny Osmond was the best song Disney has had in a very long time. The story never became boring and had many very funny parts. The characters seemed to be people that could be your friends. I look forward to my children watching it 20 or so times that they promise to do as soon as we buy it.

Summary: A Devoted Daughter--Mulan
Review: I've heard Mulan's legend since I was a little girl. Although we don't know if she was a real human, our parents or teachers liked to tell us about her. We think she was brave, but we most respect her devotion for her father. The film shows how Mulan decided to be a soldier for her father, how she cheated every guys in the troop, and how she became a hero. We've heard her story several times, but the film still moved us. I'll collect this film for my babies-- my students and my future children, because it has meaning of education.

Summary: Mulan reminds one of old Disney - unlike their last 2 films
Review: Mulan's story sets a wonderful example for the children who watch it. Girls who watch it will become empowered by its feminist undertones. For boys, the film demonstrates how one can be macho and sensitive. And for adults, the movie has enough humor and plot to hold their attention too!

Summary: Finally Disney has given us an excellent female role model
Review: Mulan, Disney's latest creation has the distinction of having the only female Disney lead worthy of adultation. Mulan a young chinese girl takes the place of her ailing father when is miltary summons arrive. Through hard work and her own intellegence she manges to save the emperor of China (let's be realistic, this is the only time in Disney's long history that the main female character has done something for herself). While the film may be historically inaccurate, it is no reason to skip this excellent film. I highly recommend it to everybody, especaily the young girls who have grown up on Disney's usual drivel. Hopefully this movie will represent a new trend at Disney

Summary: Great for young girls!
Review: My daughter loves Mulan (and so do I). She has shown a tendency to grow out of certain characters (Pooh, Elmo, Barney, etc.) but Mulan has had "staying power" since she first saw it in the theaters last summer. I thought the animation and writing were great -- I saw it several times with my daughter and even I did not get bored (a good sign for a potential video purchase). It had two memorable songs which my daughter likes to sing around the house from time to time. I liked that fact that it exposed my daughter to a different culture and time period in an inoffensive way and generally presented a positive message for young girls. A must buy for any parent with a young daughter!

Summary: Don't miss this Disney "Sleeper"
Review: Disney made a movie, and my family went to see it over ten times. This seriously underhyped movie is the best animated movie Disney has made. I was touched by this movie every single time I saw it, and that's saying a lot in today's industry. A definite must for fathers with daughters. Remember Disney only lets their videos out for a limitted time. Don't miss out, or your next chance may be years away.

Summary: Mulan: a film breaking through many obstacles
Review: Mulan was an excelent movie. It crosses all kinds of borders that we have seen in our "animated" history. To at last hear a story from Asia is an answer to many years of hoping for me. Also, to see a young girl really take hold of her own destiny is refreshing to us all. And even if she does have to put on a man's appearence to do it, it is her own unique traits that enable her to save her family and her people. It is a beautiful and inspirational film that I think we have been waiting for a long time. Good one Disney!

Summary: One of the best Disney videos
Review: I have seen most of the great Disney movies. This video outweighs THE LION KING, THE LITTLE MERMAID, and BAMBI without question. It is a great movie for guys and girls and offers and accurate portrayal of the ancient Chinese empire. Definitely deserving of five stars.

Summary: I loved it!
Review: A great interpretation of an old Chinese story. I was very pleased to see that Disney did not dilute the role of the fiesty girl hero. Mulan breaks the mould of the pale, passive and frightened object of the (male) hero's affections. Mulan has guts, with more realism than Zena! I thoroughly recommend it for girls and boys.
